Chapter 69 - Chapter 68

The next day we were finally released from the underground hideout and Silver found me right away. After two long months, I was really glad to see him.

I can't show that I've missed him so I play it cool and go back to my room. After looking around and making sure no one was around I jumped up and hugged Silver.

"I missed you." I whispered near his ear.

He was shocked at first but hugged me back.

"I missed you too."

"Silver, I need to speak with you about something very important. If I told you I'm leaving Blackmist forest tonight, would you come with me?" I looked at Silver intently waiting for his answer.

"Please don't joke with me right now."

"I'm not. I have a way out and I'm leaving tonight. This is my only chance. The king is getting impatient with me and I'm sure he'll force me to mate soon. Plus, there's no telling how much longer the other clans will hold out. Even if we are found out, as long as we get out of the forest, they can't follow unless they want to be killed by the beastmen that are lying in wait. It's a foolproof plan that I've been putting together for the last two years. Trust me, we can get out of here Silver."

"What about your claim marking? The king will be able to find you with that."

"As long as another male marks over it, it cancels out the first one."

"Where would you find a male so soon to be able to do that?" Lyria gave Silver a hopeful look. His eyes widen in realization.

"Are you out of your mind, I can't do that. My attraction for you will grow till I have you under me. I don't have that kind of control, Lyria."

"It'll just be till we get to Feline City, then I'll find my friend and have him mark over yours. Will that work for you?"

"Fine but only because I really want to leave this place. Six years is really too long."

"An hour after curfew we'll leave so be ready." Silver nods his head and we wait for nightfall.

When night finally comes, I carefully make my way downstairs to the backdoor by the witch doctor's room. After pecking into the room and making sure no lights were on, I tiptoe past the door and walk outside to the garden.

"Pip! Pip, come out. We have to go." I walk to the back of my garden searching for a small purple bud. It moves so it's hard to find sometimes. It looks small and cute but it's also deadly. It morphs into a stronger and more deadly version of itself. It can also morph into a more human form.

I found Pip when I was exploring the castle. She was in a cage in a room where most people are forbidden to enter. At a glance, it looked like it couldn't be saved. It was wilting and already showing signs of decay. Curiosity struck me. Why would a wilted plant be in a cage? So, I got a closer look and it started to move. I slowly put my hand into the cage and it wrapped itself onto my arm and I took her away.

I was still in the beginning stages of forming my garden so I hid her at first and when I was ready to plant her into my garden-fresh grass weeds and a couple of other wild plants grew around her making her stand out but at the same time gave off a breath breathtaking sight.

When I tried to uproot her that's when I met her deadly poison. I seem to have an immunity to it so it didn't hurt me. I had to earn her trust before she let me move her. Poor thing had been through a lot.

The time I've spent with her allowed us to grow a bond so strong that our energy is perfectly in sync. What I mean by that is we work well together since we both also have a connection with nature. She calls herself a Fraye.

Nature has a language of its own as well. Being that Pip is a nature creature, I can speak to someone who's truly interested in what nature can offer. I could speak to her all day if I didn't have a strict schedule.
