She walks over to me and grabs my hair. "Never show your face in my presence again. We are no longer your family. Since you want a male so bad go find one and live with them." She looks at me one more time before opening the door and kicking me out. I flew far away with that kick. A female beast is strong and when they're mad, they're one to be scared of.
Ryker and father were about to run to help me when mother stopped them.
"She is no longer a part of this family. None of you are to help her." Mom put on her alpha voice and ordered the others.
"How can you do this to your daughter? Females are to be protected. It's our nature to help her." Ryker screams to her wanting to come to help me.
"It's okay Ryker. I'll be okay." I whisper. I'm too weak to speak louder. I can't even move out of their sight to make it easier on them.
"You could be killed for unjustly killing another female." Father tries to defend me.
"Then I'll say she wanted to become the head of the house and I fought back in self-defense. Now get out of here mutt." She starts to walk in when she notices no one following her.
"If you don't come in now, I'll make things much worse for her." She threatens while walking back into the house.
For the first time in my life, I saw father with tears flowing down his eyes. My father is the strongest male beast in the village, and he was completely powerless as he listened to his mate beat his beloved daughter.
At this moment it starts to rain.
'What a perfect moment to add to my suffering.'
Ryker runs off. Everyone else slowly makes their way into the house. By the time dad walks into the house, Ryker comes back but he's not alone. Ryker looks at me with tears at the brim of his eyes trying hard to keep it together before going in and closing the door.
I'm finally alone and I close my eyes. I don't even have enough strength to cry from the pain.
I feel an arm go under my head and legs and then I'm lifted. This person is warm, and I wish I could snuggle closer. The person must have come with Ryker. He's bare-chested so it's a male. Since when has my brother ever let another male around me?
He's being very careful with me. Taking slow cautious steps.
We walk for a while before he finally speaks. "I'll have to change how I'm holding you. It may hurt for a moment so brace yourself." He speaks softly. I don't recognize his voice. He lifts my head and puts it on his shoulder. Then moves my legs to wrap around him. The movement was slow and steady but it still hurts. I take deep breaths. He puts one hand under my butt and the other on the back of my neck to keep me locked to him. I feel him shake a little under me. He must be cold too.
He leans back a little so we must be going down. A strong scent of herbs hit me, like the scent from my hideout and I get the feeling we must be there. But how did he know about this place?
I'm placed on the bed and I couldn't help but close my eyes and sleep. Finally, I'm safe.
