"Ah Du is awake? Ah Du is hungry."
"Ah Du, how are you feeling?"
"Ah Du feels hungry."
"Here have some of these."
Yang Rai threw several of his Dead star snacks over and it filled the poor guy up. He was now such a gentle being. Even giving off a feeling of serenity. After being freed he left to wonder, thanking his savior Yang Rai as he did. Hong Hu was tearful. She could sense the sadness that must have come from him. Ah Du came back quickly though to give Yang Rai something.
"Ah Du give you this. Ah Du leave now."
What had just happened was all the knowledge about the war against the Ink clan from way back in ancient times had just been handed down to him. Knowledge of how a truly terrifying existence appeared and was what caused the Giant Spirit Gods to become Inked. The memories of the massive battles and powerful existences fighting was enough to shake Yang Rai to the bitter core.
He fell to the ground panting and holding his head. Screaming that sounded worse than nails on a chalkboard. He was rolling around on the ground in sheer agony. This scene was terrifying Hong Hu who couldn't even catch Yang Rai squirming around. This went on for an hour. When he opened his eyes his demeanor was completely different. The Ink clan was the ultimate enemy. Even the incarnation of death was a far cry from the true terror of the Ink Clan.
"I must begin taking countermeasures more seriously. No holding back at all. Force my way through if I have to."
"Are you alright? That was a hellish scene."
"I'm fine. The memories I had been given were not dulled down nor weakened. It was like I was actually being inked like he had. like I was fighting just like he had. The battle against such a supreme existence. I need to calm down."
"Was it truly that terrifying?"
"You can't possibly imagine. I would show you but until I get those thoughts in order you be put into the same position I just was."
"Then I'll have to trouble you another time."
"Now let's get your artifact. And get out of here, surviving the meer memory took a lot out of me. Rather it was because it was a memory that it did. Terrifying."
Hong Hu Collected the Artifact and they headed back to the Phoenix clan. They had been worried since they hadn't come back yet that maybe something bad happened.
"Did something bad happen Hong Hu?"
Yang Rai gives her the look as if to say don't you dare say and she backed down quickly.
