Yang Rai spent another 40 years repairing and absorbing the source spirits he could. There were quite a lot of dead stars in this particular StarField. Not many of them were able to be saved. However there wasn't any way to tell if they could or couldn't be saved until after he used a set of rank 6 resources. There weren't many things left inside of the StarField bead anymore. The dead stars that remained could be absorbed but the sources that were left he couldn't help but feel bad for. Either way he needed to change focus again back to the resource trees. He had been in seclusion for 2 years outside which was loosely 80 years inside the artifact.
Let's attempt to make a rank 7 material. Yang Rai instinctively gathered 729 sets of Rank 6 resources. He was willing to try this because the Origin Spirits now numbering 729 had been managing the glyphs closely. The number he had was quite vast. Still nothing close to what his new maximum was. But it should be enough to handle the fusion. Hopefully. Yang Rai tried to start the sequence but the fusion ritual didn't even activate. Confused, Yang Rai tried again, each time he did he caught a glimpse of something new.
Yang Rai had repeated the activation several times and each time the information he gleaned became far more clear. The look on his face turned into a slight disgust. The spirits were a little worried so one of the little world spirits stepped up and asked.
"Master, what's wrong? Did we mess up the resources?"
"No, it's not that. It's just that… the cost of fusing a rank 7 is far more expensive than I had thought. So I'll need to re assign you all to the rank 6 trees. I'm going to make 72 more of them. I just hope you can keep up for a while. I don't want you to overwork yourselves."
"Master has been incredibly kind. We will do whatever the master wants."
"Alright then for now leave the rank 4 and below alone. Just focus on the rank 5s and 6s."
"Yes, Master." "Yes, Papa."
Yang Rai began synthesizing a plethora of new rank 6 trees and supplied them with the needed glyphs. He had got incredibly good at doing this after making 72 more rank 6s. It still took him a year to finish it. The origin spirits had also managed to fill each Dao seal with glyphs. They made sure to get them all to T7 R5. He was worried it would take longer for the new spirits to get the hang of it. His fears were unfounded, he still didn't know why they advanced so quickly. Perhaps it was the level of the glyph's influence? If that's the case I wonder if I can increase the number of spirits again? Another time perhaps. I don't have a means to get any more anyways.
Yang Rai set aside the Starfield bead after assigning a hefty number of glyphs into its being. Since he still had the means to experiment he would certainly do just that. Perhaps the energy just needs to increase and feed the heavenly way inside the world. If that were to happen, who knows. Maybe new stars will be generated. After setting it aside again he looked back towards the now exhausted spirits. They had been working tirelessly to help their master. And now it was time to show them just why Yang Rai asked them to do what they did.
"Master?"
"Here we go."
