The dream detailed a great many things for Rai'er. It showed him that each of the nine separate cultivations within him had a unique focus. All were based on the 4 forces and 5 elements. The 4 forces were confusing at first, 2 of them were yin and yang. The remaining 2 were more profound yet stabilized the other 2 forces. The dream called them consolidated yin-yang. Originally the yin-yang forces were thought to be complete and it was only through the dream that Rai learned this wasn't the case.
When Rai woke up he could be seen training alone. There was always someone keeping an eye on him at the request of the sect manager. He would train and accumulate Qi at a seemingly infinite amount. However considering how weak his realm is at the moment it doesn't even change the surrounding environments Qi level. He would do this for 2 more years and reach the peak of the Initial element realm. However he noticed that he could take it further. He decided to continue growing his foundation spending a year doing so. He used this time to cultivate his foundation in secret by studying more about artifacts with the various refiners.
At the age of 7 years old Yang Rai began his ascension to the Flowing Qi realm. Through a baptism that worried everyone who saw it. Yet just like before Yang Rai shrugged it off like nothing and instead absorbed and controlled the energy released. In doing this he was directly promoted to the 5th stage of the Flowing Qi realm. After his baptism he stood up and thanked the various masters for watching over him.
Now Yang Rai is finally able to begin practicing artifact refining. Before he was only able to observe and comprehend what the refiners were doing. Now he can start using materials to practice techniques while he trains to grow his cultivation. He divided his time among Artifacts, Arrays and Martial arts. It was a long and grueling task however Rai after only 3 years achieved the peak of the flowing Qi phase. Everyone in the flowing Qi realm couldn't even touch him. Only peak Qi Fusion realm disciples on Shadowed star even dared to compete with Yang Rai. Many of which were also defeated.
The success Yang Rai had made it seem like he could display strength a whole major realm above himself. However, that wasn't the case. Rai's true abilities weren't even really being tested. He decided it would be best to keep a vast majority of his strength hidden. He used the fights he had as a base line to determine his true overall strength. "At this point I likely could defeat peak True Foundation realms. But it would be troublesome if I actually began to display that amount of strength unless needed." Yang Rai was a very intelligent young man and made sure to utilize that to the best of his ability.
The great elder, Ye Xi Yun, took Yang Rai as a student for his martial arts. This wasn't a true master-disciple relationship but rather a gesture for Yang Kai's help. She had thought that training Yang Rai would help to pay back the debt she owed. She didn't expect, however, the possibility of Yang Rai teaching her a great many things. It was just after Yang Rai developed into a Qi Fusion Realm cultivator that she had an instruction match with him.
