*Screech!!*
The Layer Beast let out a deafening roar to the sky, causing the ground to shake beneath their feet. Zenon and Aurea prepared themselves as the serpent lunged towards them, its mouth open wide with two razor-sharp fangs on full display.
Both Unseens side-stepped and the serpent dived inside the ashes, crawling under them. This time, Zenon could easily see where it was headed based on the small mound moving around.
Just as he thought that Aurea was the one targeted, the serpent made a sharp turn and jumped toward him. Startled, Zenon rolled to the side making the serpent miss again.
'Hold it!'
Zenon used this small gap to grab the Layer Beast's tail and punch it.
*Bam! Crack!*
Breaking part of the Layer Beast armor, Zenon felt a small sense of accomplishment. Not only the Void Gloves, but the precise usage of the Void Sense and the number of Sacrifices made his blow even stronger!
