"Hey- Wait! Anything but kneeling!" Zenon shouted while putting his hands in front. Though his Familiar only gave him a pity look in return.
Confused by the inaction of his Familiar, Zenon opened his eyes and was surprised by his small size. It was, at much, his arm long and wide and wasn't as terrifying as one hour ago. Slowly relaxing his expression, Zenon spent some time analyzing him.
Zenon saw how the void revolved violently around him as if they were purposely protecting him. In contrast to Zenon, whose void completely avoided him.
It got inside his body and out constantly, feeding his scales and especially his eyes making them resemble said violent and pink color. Now things were getting confusing.
After a moment of silence, Zenon asked, "Why are you not making me kneel."
The Familiar answered with a long but low roar. Somehow, he was understanding everything he said as if he was speaking his own language.
"What… wait a second how am I understanding you?!" He shouted, somewhat frightened, "I don't think that we are supposed to understand each other, right?!"
The Leviathan sighed with a deep tone and stretched his tail, pointing it at his chest. Or rather, his soul.
Zenon touched his chest and widened his eyes. He instantly called the Runes containing their information and was taken aback.
—
Familiar: [Leviathan]
Familiar Description: [Your Familiar will accompany you along your journey. It is a powerful ruler with infinite authority, and can be of good use in several situations.]
Familiar Abilities: [Void Traveler]
Void Traveler Description: [Your Familiar's soul and body can travel through the cold emptiness of the Void and share his senses with yours at will.]
Familiar Innate Ability: [Leviathan's Pride]
Leviathan's Pride Description: [If your Familiar deems it necessary, your words will be influenced by his will to achieve his desired situation.]

Zenon blinked twice as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Leviathan's Pride?!
He could be influenced by a fish?!
Of course! The Innate Attribute of his Familiar - supposedly his strongest asset - could only turn Zenon into a puppet.
He was the most humble human being that has ever existed yet this sea creature could make him say something ridiculous!
Zenon sighed, putting his hands on his face. He spent so much time trying to get rid of that ego only for it to come back in the form of a damned fish.
'Guess that's why I threatened Harbor earlier... this may be a prob- Wait a moment! It's only a problem if you decide to lose your cool!'
The Leviathan laughed with that deep tone earning some aggressive looks from Zenon. Nonetheless, he wasn't in the mood to argue with him so he just brushed it off and laid down once again.
The Familiar swam until being beside Zenon's head, to which the boy asked, "What now...?"
The Leviathan talked in a deep voice a language Zenon couldn't understand and slightly bowed its head. Even though Zenon had no idea what sounds his vocal cords formed, he somehow caught what he wanted to say, which made his eyebrows rise.
"Uhm... no problem? I mean, no offense, I never asked for you to be my Familiar but guess that the Awakening had other plans. Why do you think you got chosen though?"
The Leviathan continued talking, earning some confused looks from Zenon. After some minutes of trying to tie loose ends together, they simply brushed it off as something about the Lineage.
It's not like most humans with a Lineage managed to Awaken so this newly formed theory was going to remain in a mere supposition for a long time.
"Just thank the odds of me being born with a Lineage. That's the reason why you are here right now, so I think we could call it even so you don't use your Innate Ability to humiliate me."
After cleaning his body, Zenon got out of the bath and pulled the drain, which quickly swallowed all the water. While watching the water drain, he looked at his Familiar and asked,
"Wait, you can live outside water right?" Then Leviathan sighed and suddenly disappeared in purple veils.
Dumbfounded, Zenon looked everywhere and found the Leviathan floating beside him while moving his body left and right, similar to a snake.
The reason why this was unusual was that Familiars tend to use their animal's property to move. Birds would fly alongside you while land creatures such as cats would walk beside you or sit on your shoulder.
And in case you got something ocean related they would... swim inside the floor? At least that's what he was told.
Yet his Familiar, who was supposed to live in the ocean, was now floating beside him.
"Uhm... I think that's too uncanny, could you swim inside the floor or any other thing?"
Leviathan did as Zenon said and proved that he could act as a proper sea-related familiar. The floor turned gelatinous and it started swimming. After some testing, he started floating again and said something.
Zenon widened his eyes and nodded, to which the Familiar disappeared in particles again. He then used his Void Sense to look around and saw him floating.
'Woah...'
He started to like his Ability even more.
But something seemed weird about him. When he looked at the Familiar the patterns inside of the Leviathan's body left him confused.
It was similar to that of his Void Core. Patterns form and dissolve by seconds, with no clear nexus holding everything together. It was as if the laws of the Void worked differently from that of Earth.
"Weird..."
Anyways, Zenon dried his body and took the clean clothes off the machine. Not only did all the blood stains disappear, but also smelled as heavenly as his body.
After enjoying the fragrance for some seconds, Zenon exited the bathroom and lay on his bed, which was enough to make him somewhat drowsy. If he was not careful enough, he may fall asleep at any second.
Yet, just as he was about to let the tiredness take control of him,
"Attention everyone. To celebrate New Year's Eve, we'll group inside the training center and Harbor will give you some explanation of the Layers. After that, let's say there will be a lot of food for you to enjoy. I expected you to be here in one hour though you may come now if you wish to."
Zenon sighed before getting up from his bed. He just wanted to sleep, why wouldn't anyone let him sleep?
He put his hoodie on and walked outside his bedroom and closed the door.
With the key inside.
The second he closed it, his entire world crumbled as he remembered what he just forgot. Staying in front of his door like an idiot while holding the handle, he muttered,
"I'm so retarded."
His Familiar, who was resting on his shoulder, hissed and suddenly went through the walls. It was a strange sensation because Zenon could clearly feel his body and, as weird as it may look, he could see him floating around his bedroom and... swallowing something?
He then returned and appeared on his shoulder and used his tail to hold Zenon's hand. Opening his mouth, he let a key covered with saliva fall.
Zenon looked at the key with widened eyes and even used it to test if it worked properly, which it did.
Smiling, he instinctively tried to pet him yet he received a screech that almost made his heart stop.
"Alright, chill!! You don't like that, alright! I get it! No need to get so aggressive."
