Milo's heart pounded as he stared down the gun barrel. He knew that this was the moment they had dreaded when everything could go wrong.
Milo's mind raced as he tried to think of a way out of the situation. He knew they were outnumbered and outgunned, but he couldn't give up. Not when Amy was in danger.
Dan remained calm and composed as if he had expected something like this to happen. He slowly raised his hands, showing the shooters he wasn't a threat.
"Get in the car," the voice repeated, more urgently this time.
Milo hesitated momentarily, but then he felt a hand on his back, pushing him forward. He turned to see that one of the shooters had stepped out of the car and gestured for him to get in.
With dread, Milo climbed into the car's back seat, followed by Amy and Dan. The shooters entered the front seats, and the car sped off into the night.
