"I-uh ... I- I just came to check on you, I mean you seem pretty worked up" Avery threw in a nervous laugh.
"That obvious huh?" Asher bluntly stated without even a twitch in facial expression
"Yeah... You know what?, here." Avery handed him a bottle of alcohol she came with.
Asher glanced at the bottle and only then was there a slight twitch on the corners of his lips that if Avery wasn't was paying attention would've missed it
Turning his head towards her "Aren't you meant to tell me not to drink my problems away, you know, like most girls do..?
"First, your not 'drinking your problems away' your just having fun with them yeah, and second, how many times do I have to tell you not to compare me with the entire female population hmm? Now what do you say"
With a smirk Asher took the bottle cocking it open with his teeth and taking a long swing
"Your a bad influence on me"
With a laugh Avery took a swing of her own drink she had opened and both of them just stood there staring into the now slowly darkening sky
"I'm really sorry"
"For what" Avery brows furrowed by his sudden apology
"For everything I ever put you through"
"Hey, I understand it wasn't your fault and what happened happened okay? Let's just pay attention to now"
"And leave the past behind us" Asher asked with hopeful eyes

Two months ..
"Hey aren't you packing?"
"For what exactly?"
"For spring break dummy what else"
"No"
"Ash no you cannot stay here for three weeks"
He scoffed "says who?"
"Says me"
"Come on don't you want to see your family, your parents?"
Asher's eyes darkened at her words
Avery noticed and attempted to apologize if she had said anything wrong but was cut off
"I'm not going. End of story"
"You can't be so selfish, your parents must miss you so mu-"
"You know absolutely nothing about my family!!. And you have no right to tell me what I can or can't do"
"Oh so your back to being an asshole" Avery was becoming irritated. She would kill to go back home to a happy family but no. She's stuck with an abusive dad and people like Asher can't even appreciate the home that he has
"Look just because I can stand your presence now doesn't make us buddies and it as hell doesn't mean you can pock your nose into other people business. Now stop behaving like clingy girlfriend and go play with one of your boy toys or something"
With a scoff Avery started for the door muttering something along the lines of "asshole"
Once the door shut Asher let out a breath.
