Chapter 4 - CH 3: The beginning after an end

2 months have passed and tomorrow is the day.

I woke up in the morning with a heavy feeling, and I don't know why.

I rose up, did my bed, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and looked at myself in the mirror.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I then reveal a cunning smile and said, "He really is gorgeous..".

Amethyst eyes coupled with platinum blonde hair and fair skin, I look nothing like my big brother except for me being blonde.

If he has the almost perfect Masculine looking face, then as for me, I seem to have been the perfect ratio between Masculine and Feminine, making it possible for both sexes to be attracted to me in the future when my body develops into adolescence.

My eyes then widened shocked, embarrassed at what I have just openly told myself while checking out myself in the mirror, "H-huh?! what was that?!".

"..." silence descended after I reacted.

I then continued and said, "Wh-whatever let's just go on....".

I then proceeded to walk out of my room trying to forget what I have just done and to also check outside if my brother heard me say that and then continued heading downstairs. Walking towards our dining table, it was already set and has a not on top of it beside the breakfast set.

I picked it up and read it, "The breakfast is set as you can see, and all the ingredients for lunch are in the sealing scroll over there on top the counter---" I then continued reading the letter that my big brother left which further told me all of my chores for today.

I then left the house to go to our-- my usual spot when I was training.

Walking towards the usual training spot just atleast 20 footsteps away from our backyard. I then analyzed my skills inside my mind, (After 2 months of training, my Kunai and my other ninja weapons' handling have gotten better, if I were to say so myself, as I can now use it like a dart and hit a bull's-eye on the target board even if it is 10 meters away. And use it like a knife to cut leaves in half while they are falling).

I then arrived and started my usual Weapon, Body and Chakra trainings that I absorbed from my deceased father.

After 5-6 hours of training I then went back to our house, to find that my brother was already on the dining table.

"Kai-chan!! Here! Let us eat!!" He called out to me as he handed me my plate.

"You got home so early..." I said to him as I pick up food to put on my plate.

"Well Jiraiya-sensei said that I could take a break for today as I haven't been spending my time with you lately..." He said with a downed expression.

"Awww c'mon big bro, I wasn't even that sad about it! I understand that you have been training for your planned early graduation... But let me deviate a little bit.." I then change the topic.

I then continued and said, "Have you been spending time with Kushina-nee----" I then got cut off by a loud thud that seems to have came from the door.

Both me and Minato then heard heavy footsteps full of pressure coming towards us, and this made us produce beads of sweat all over on the side of our faces.

After several more footsteps, the person was finally in front of us, a girl in her tweens to be exact. Red hair, Purple eyes, Fair skin, just like someone.

I then used my hands to cover my ears for the upcoming whale shout.

"MINATO!!!! YOU- YOU HAVENT BEEN SEEING ME LATELY!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!???" Kushina yelled at Minato, almost breaking both my and Minato's ears.

"Ku- Kushina.... I am sorry I-" Minato couldn't even finish his excuses as he got his ears held by Kushina-nee.

"Owwwwwwww" Minato groaned and screamed from the pain.

And that was how I concluded my day, because tomorrow will be the day.

---

It's now the D-day, the day of the entrance exam in the academy.

I am currently on my way to the academy gates, walking alongside clanless and clan member children with their guardians coming with them to witness their performance.

But there are still some children coming to attend the entrance exam without a guardian, I would guess that some of them are orphaned just like me.

I then arrived at the gate and proceeded to enter the academy grounds.

As I walk on the path that leads to the academy building, my eyes then began making up a big crowd just right outside the door entrances of the building.

The crowd comprised of the children participating in the entrance exam lined up in a mannerly way as they go on with their chatters, while some adults, who seems to be Ninjas with their ninja attire just stood in front of the lined up children.

(They must be the proctors) I thought to myself as I enter the line up, also lining up with the children as I myself am a child as well.

Lining up with the kids, I could then notice some strange gazes on me, though I could probably guess it's either from my outstanding appearance of exoticity, or maybe they sort of recognize my resemblance with my big brother, who by the way, is currently famous and popular because of his image as the Konoha's current biggest genius.

But I just proceed to brush their gazes off, and continue to mind my own business thinking of my performance later.

As i began minding my business, a boy beside me had the audacity to break my solitude.

"He- heya!!" the boy greeted me.

I then looked at him with my honed fake smile and said, "Hello, how may i help you?" I greeted him back and asked what was his problem.

"O- oh sorry if i disturbed ya! i just wanted to say hi to a fellow examinee!! My name's Souma!! Kurozawa Souma!" He introduced himself.

He was a kid with a weirdly spiky hair, his hair was red as blood, but his eyes were black, a weird combination. His build was slightly taller than me, and his face is very chiseled, almost like a perfect anime drawing. His jawline was mainly the thing that accentuates his physical appearance.

"Hello to you Souma-kun, My name is Namikaze Kaito" I introduced myself with a smile.

After introducing myself, silence descended upon our surroundings. The kids beside us seemed to have heard me introduce my name.

After a while, a kid behind me broke the silence by saying, "WHHAAAATTT?!!".

Soon after he reacted, the kids all around me flooded me with questions regarding my connection with my brother.

"Is the Minato your brother?!"

"Are you two close?!"

"Where do you live?"

"Do you also train under Jiraiya-sama?"

"Are you stronger than your older brother?"

And after a while of politely answering and rejecting some questions, the questions died down and eventually stopped the moment the ceremony horn sounded.

And soon after the horn sounds ended, a proctor walked up on the stage and yelled, "Attention!".

After gathering everyone's eyes and ears towards him, he continued, "I am sure that everyone here must be excited about how this entrance exam will go and End".

"Everyone here whether you be a non-clan civilian or a clan member aspiring student! I am very hopeful that all of you have prepared for this day!"

"But! be aware that even after you succeed this exam, it will still not end here. There will still be many obstacles that you will have to pass through to get through this academy to become a full-fledged Genin ninja of Konoha!"

"And you all still have to remember that not everyone is fit to be a ninja and that there will always be other career paths that you could choose to pursue if you were to fail this entrance exam."

"Do you all understand?" He then asked the organized crowd of children ranging from ages 5-8 with an authoritative tone.

"HAI" All of us responded back.

"That's the spirit! Now then, my name is Fumiyoshi Kiyotaka, a Special Jonin of our village, I am here to be a proctor for this exam!!" he said with a hint of friendliness.

After finishing speaking of his reminders and pointers, he then started to explain about the first of the three tests of this exam, which was the Written test. This test was done to simply gauge what we already know about the world we live in.

We then headed over inside the classrooms of the academy to do the Written test.

The classroom I entered in was one of those classic elementary classrooms, just like the one from Naruto when he was still in the academy.

I then found my seat, which was beside the window just like all those main characters and settled myself.

They handed us with a 50 item test paper, and told us that we only have an hour and a half to finish answering the test paper.

After explaining the most basic of rules, something like, no cheating they will know, blah blah blah. We then started answering.

And after what felt like a day, which was just 30 minutes, I finished my test. I turned in my paper, and mostly everyone glanced at me with a shocked expression for a second and then returned back to looking at their test papers.

If you are wondering how I ended the test paper immediately, I have basically been reading books about this world in the village's library. The books were extremely numerous, encompassing various topics from history, mathematics, tactics, politics, Shinobiology, and such.

But actually, before i could even walk, i've been reading books from our house's small bookshelf. At night I would get down from my crib and arrive in front of the bookshelf in the master bedroom. I would then pick up the ones in my height level, and yeah, it took most of my strength everytime I pick up a book with my feeble hands back then. So after getting tired from reading one book, I would then retire and call it a night, and then the next time no one is around again, I'll proceed to either reread or read a new one, and then as I grow up, I was then able to pick up the books on a higher shelf, and so on.

I spent most of my 3 years of life, studying stuff about this world from geography, science and scientific discoveries, history, math, and more. And then at the time I turned 4, I was now able to go outside and study in the village library, which I did even up until now.

Studying wasn't a bother to me, because deep down I knew that I needed to do this no matter what lifetime I am in. I needed to know my stuff, and I also needed to know how to adapt. I needed to understand and comprehend this new world as much as I can so that I will have an upper hand. That's how I am as a person.

Concluding my thinking session, a minute after, the timer ran out and the first proctor announced the end of the first phase, and we were then shown back to the outside.

After gathering us participants in a predetermined line up, the next proctor then walked up in front of all of us.

"Now we shall begin the 2nd phase of the exam, The Chakra Capability Test!". The second proctor announced.

The proctor then proceeded to explain the mechanics of the exam.

Basically in this test and the next test, they will be using Hyuga and Uchiha proctors specially.

The Uchiha proctor will then test if we could already feel our Chakra, and also if we already know how to properly control our Chakra. While the Hyuga proctors will then be used to determine whether we have already unlocked our Chakra or not, and also to measure up our Chakra reserves.

The proctor and the assisting proctors then began calling upon names and asked them to come up to the front. Some participants, especially the clan kids already have access to their chakra and already have a sufficient control over it, while the others, especially the civilian kids, still haven't even felt their Chakra and were then assisted to sense and unlock their chakra.

Watching them assist the clanless kids unlock their Chakra I then thought, (Looks like they are desperate during these times, and also, it looks like they already have the feels of the 3rd Shinobi War).

Upon thinking about the current political situations, I then heard my name.

"Nami- Namikaze Kaito! Please come up to the front!" A proctor stuttered for a sec but then proceeded to call upon my name.

After my name was announced, all eyes turned upon me. I then raised my hands and serenely said, "Here!".

I then walked up to the front, ignoring the various gazes on me.

After arriving to the front with all the gazes on me, I then proceeded to sit cross-legged.

"Now, please show your Chakra wherever the part of your body you feel comfortable enough to show off on" The proctor told me as she pressed her hand on my left shoulder as I sat cross-legged.

I then proceeded to flow my Chakra towards my hands and I then clasped my hands together.
