This opens up to a room, quite simple to the eye but means everything to the white haired boy sitting by a reading table writing away in a notebook.
Pleasure Edgewood is writing in his diary, it's a new day and he's being promoted to a new class, he ought to be excited but he doesn't feel a thing.
" A new day for more trouble."
" At least I'm in highschool now, only a few more years to go." Pleasure sighed.
After writing, Pleasure gets up from the reading table as he looks around the room. Visible are a well made bed, a wardrobe at the corner besides the bed and a shoe rack on the opposite side of the bed. The rest of the room was filled with mostly books, educational ones and a lot of literature texts.
Stretching out his hands, Pleasure starts doing some exercises ranging from press-ups to sit-ups and then some squats. He had a height of about and a small but athletic build. His white hair always made him stand apart from his peers as they had either black or blonde hair. It was also spiky which Pleasure didn't like, he had tried all possible ways to fix it's spikes but to no avail so he ended up carrying it that way.
No matter how he tried, he still had to go to school. It was inevitable but Pleasure didn't like that.

Oakland High is a prestigious institution, boasting of bringing out the best students so far in all of Yorker. No other academic institute could compete with Oakland as it was built to have everything needed for learning. It was owned by a multimillionaire who decided to help the kids of Yorker get a good educational background. Admission into this prestigious school is very hard as it's financially affordable for even the middle class parents but it had it's standard of students it admitted. You had to be of a very good IQ to be able to enter.
The students of Oakland always looked dignified in their uniform especially those in highschool, with their white shirtsleeve shirt covered with a black jacket and then a pair of black trousers to match. For the girls, it was a white shirtsleeve shirt, a black jacket and a black skirt. The badge of the school was on the left hand side of the jacket while the class number of the student was on the right hand side.
This morning, Oakland High was bustling with activities as it was resumption day. New students trooping into the school compound, old students meeting their friends and asking about how the summer was spent. Pleasure, on the other hand, went straight to his locker without talking to anyone. He didn't have any friends and so he saw all these things as a waste of time. A natural outcast of his class, he was used to his style of living. The only thing that bothered him was the fact that he was always picked on, and today was no different.
" Hey bunny head!" Lucas, one of the bullies in Pleasure's class called out to him.
Pleasure remembered him vividly but could hardly remember his name because he hardly spoke to him.
" Can I help you?" Pleasure asked still digging into his locker.
" Yeah, umm.. what's up with your hair? Bad hair day?" Lucas said as he laughed at his own comment.
He was teasing Pleasure and the latter was not enjoying this, so he chose to stay quiet as he couldn't do anything about it. This only aggravated Lucas who pushed Pleasure and said.
" What happened? Cat got your tongue?".
Suddenly the bell rang signifying time for assembly. Pleasure grateful for this, rushed off to the assembly hall. As he approached it, he bumped into someone. It was a girl and as he tried to help her pack her things up, she grabbed them from him before he could even have the chance to apologize. He didn't even get to see her face but saw her bright red hair. Pleasure didn't think much of it and headed into the hall.
At the assembly, the students were made to say a small prayer, sing the national anthem and then the school choir made a presentation that kept everyone in awe of their talent.
Finally, the principal came into the hall and mounted the podium. Principal Jules Hermes, a woman in her early thirties was a gorgeous woman. She had black bobbed hair, green eyes that pierced into one's heart, perfectly curved nose and rosy lips. She looked less scary but yet her presence was enough to keep the hall quiet for a while.
" I welcome all of you back from the summer holidays." She began.
" It's a new session and you all have been promoted to new classes...well, most of you I guess— with that statement all the students laughed out exception of those that repeated— anyways...." with she went on with the usual announcement.
After that, a small prize-giving ceremony was held to acknowledge those that performed excellently last session. Everyone was excited especially those that were called to receive their prizes. Pleasure and another student were called from his class. Lucia Hatake, a timid shy girl who was always trying to compete with Pleasure but always comes second place. Everyone cheered for Lucia as she was formerly the class representative, this left Pleasure with none to cheer for him. He hated it but still couldn't care less about what others thought about him, he was here for himself and only that. The rest of the assembly went on smoothly and then everyone was dispatched to their various classes.

The red-haired girl, she was there. Right next to his seat, sat the red-haired girl from before. She was reading a book and seemed focused on it. Pleasure sat down to wait for the teacher. He looked at her and took in some air. She was a beauty alright, he thought.
After a few minutes, the teacher came in. A petite figure, probably in her early thirties with a bobbed brown hair roofing a cute face.
" Good morning everyone. My name is Susan Meyer and I'll be your new homeroom teacher".
" Good morning Mrs Meyer" the whole class chorused.
" Okay, I would like to know everyone, so you'll be given a chance to come and introduce yourself to the class."
Introductions were the worse things for Pleasure. He didn't know how he should introduce himself as. Should he settle for athletics? Nerd?Class clown? This was definitely the hardest time for him.
The first person was Mia Audrey, the most popular girl in the class. She was a beautiful girl and that wasn't the only cause of her popularity. Her father was one of the top sponsors of the school and so everyone respected her.
" Hello everyone, my name is Mia Audrey. I am seventeen years old, I love making friends and am very humble with myself. Please feel free to socialize with me." She said as she smiled widely revealing a pair of beautifully set teeth.
After she was done everyone clapped and cheered for her, and then the introductions continued. Mia had chosen a wonderful personnel, the "social kid", Pleasure thought.But then he heard the red-hair giggle.
After a while, it was finally the red-hair's turn to introduce herself. She stood up from her seat and went to the front of the class confidently and said.
" My name is Mitsuki Lockwood" the silence that followed was deafening and Mrs Meyer broke it by adding
" Is there anything else you would like to share with the class, Mitsuki?"
"No ma'am".
With that she headed back to her seat.
Finally, it was Pleasure's turn and only some students watched as he made his way to the front of the class.
" I'm Pleasure Edgewood, seventeen years old and I like reading."
The classes for that day moved very fast. This was because many teachers just came in to introduce the topics to be taught. Then came break time, Pleasure headed out to the canteen to buy a fruit bar, which he took to the school field. He headed for the tree shades as his favorite spot was an old bench that laid there. On getting there he finds Mitsuki sitting and eating her lunch. On impulse, he turned around to go but Mitsuki had already seen him.
" Do you come here often, klutz?"
Of course she would call him names, he had been rather clumsy around her.
" My name's not klutz."
" But you act like one?" Mitsuki said.
" No, I don't." Pleasure replied and then left.
He wasn't used to having a conversation that lasted for up to ten minutes. Also the fact that Mitsuki was a new girl didn't help matters. Within a day, the new girl had called him a klutz. His bad luck was shimmering.

few weeks into the term and Mitsuki had already proved to be a genius. Her quick thinking and adaptive reasoning was competing with that of Pleasure's. Sometimes, Pleasure thought that she was surpassing him in terms of IQ and he didn't like it at all. With that reason, he continues to keep his distance.
On the other hand, Mitsuki seemed withdrawn from everyone in the class. She always talked with her classmates when necessary and besides that kept to herself. Out of all the students, she noticed the ostracizing of Pleasure and didn't understand why.
" Maybe it's his hair?" she thought.
As long as she kept her distance and he kept his, they would be just fine.
One day, at the close of school, Pleasure was rushing out, packing his things as quickly as possible and so was Mitsuki. In the rush, Pleasure bumped into Mitsuki and his things fell out.
" Sorry" he whispered hurriedly as he packed his things.
Mitsuki said nothing as she watched him leave the class. She was sure he would break into a run outside the school building. Just as she was about to attend to her stuff, she noticed a blue covered diary. She took it and opened it, the first page had a sentence written boldly " SILENCE AND IMAGINATION".
Just then, Lucia came in. Mitsuki decided to give her the book since she was the class representative.
" Lucia, Pleasure dropped his notebook. Would you mind holding it for him?"
Lucia took one look at the notebook and said:
" That doesn't look like his school note, so why don't you just hold on to it for him"
Out of options, Mitsuki decided to give the book to Pleasure the next day.

The next day, Mitsuki came in early to find Pleasure already seated on his seat. His face was gloomier than usual and she guessed it was because of the notebook.
She took her seat and then proceeded to bring out the notebook.
" Here, you forgot this yesterday." she said handing him the book.
" Thanks, I thought I lost it." Pleasure said as his eyes lit up.
" Don't worry, I didn't read it." Mitsuki said.
Pleasure opened the book to view the contents before closing it and putting it in his backpack.
During Mathematics class, Mr Henry gave the students a project to work on in groups. He positioned them into groups of four members to work on the project. Pleasure wasn't very happy about this as he did poorly in group work, mostly because the others didn't value his opinion. Fate wasn't on his side this time around, he was paired with Lucia, Mitsuki and Lucas. His bully of all time in the same group as he, he was surely going to regret it.
The rest of the class went on as usual, and then it was break time. Just as Pleasure was about to rush out, Mitsuki turned to him and said.
" Pleasure, we should hold a meeting concerning the project."
" Okay, when is the meeting?" Pleasure asked reluctantly.
" I was thinking we should hold one now in the library?" Mitsuki suggested.
" Now? Isn't it too soon?" Pleasure asked.
" Well, we'll be quick. It's just to get to know ourselves and how we proceed with the project."
Just as they were talking, Lucia walked up to their seats.
" Are you guys talking about the project?"
" Yeah, you came just in time. We were about to go to the library for a meeting." Mitsuki declared.
" That's a great idea, but what about Lucas?" Lucia asked.
Speaking of the devil, Lucas entered the class at that moment.
" Hey, Lucas?" Mitsuki called.
" What?!" Lucas said in an annoyed tone.
" We were about to hold a meeting for the mathematics project, would you care to join?" She explained.
" No, I won't join. I'm off to somewhere, you guys can do it by yourselves. I'm not interested." Lucas said before heading off.
" Looks like you got a stubborn partner." said a light skinned boy.
Kai Parker, one of the top dogs of the class. A handsome fellow who led a small faction of boys in the class. Every girl in the class wanted to be Kai's girlfriend and so he was always popular among the girls.
From his seat where he was reading, he turned his blue colored eyes to the group before saying.
" You also got the dull old guy, UNlucky!!"
" Keep your comments for yourself, Kai." Mitsuki said.
" Sorry, redhead. It's just an observation." Kai chuckled.
" Mitsuki just let it be." Lucia said as she blushed from the exchange with Kai.
" Lucia, you done with the note yet?" Kai asked facing Lucia.
" Almost, just a little more." Lucia said as she grew redder by the moment.
" Alright." Kai said as he moved out of the class.
" Can we go now?" Pleasure finally said.
