I was a hunter one of the few who could hunt down the Empire ending krakens. I brought the hide and skin to many cities to have a cloak and ship made of the very tough material strangely it was hydrophobic the leather that is. I boarded my ship with my long-time crew of brothers who had hunted many dangerous water dwelling creatures with me.

I began to yell to them "This ship shall carry us to finally kill a Levithan a creature never killed before we shall hunt it down and end its life, we the Dark Sea Mercenaries shall be the first to end a Leviathan's life." I smiled as my brother's cheer I may be captain, but we only decide everything usually together.

The life of a mercenary crew is usually fraught with danger, but we were the most famous group who managed to kill a kraken a near impossible task now we shall finally end the Leviathan that killed my parents and destroyed most of the homelands we all left behind but still cared about and visited. We would help repair the damages cause by the Leviathan in our hometowns, but people mistook this as being kind, so we had both commoner and noble on our side for this endeavor.

Leviathans were rare and strangely there was only one per a sea strangely and we never saw any young Leviathans. I will finally get my vengeance but if I had to choose between my crew and vengeance, I would choose the crew without a thought. We began to sail to the tempests where the leviathan dwelled its environment where it dwelled slowly changed into a tempest where a storm was that's why we needed a kraken leather ship so that we were super buoyant and would not sink easily or be turned over.

I began to look through the telescope for the kraken as the wind rain and ice shattered against my face stinging slightly, but it was nothing compared to a kraken tentacle hitting you across the body. I smile remembering how my crew saved my life pinning the kraken's tentacle as it had grabbed me slowly crushing me as I had harmed it the most. I had dropped a barrel of gunpowder and some other things into its mouth with it being on fire.

There was a loud Crack and most of its teeth flew into the air some landed on the ship which we used to finally kill it. I touched my kraken tooth dagger on my hip what a great time. I remember the time we hunted a boar on land and nearly got ourselves killed because we were so unused to fighting on land no one bothered us on land so we thought we would be good at fighting I remember all the laughs we had at one another.

We hunted a monster that dwelled deep in the waters called the Megalodon it hunted krakens strangely its skin wasn't as tough but holy shit did it wreck our ship. Our ship was made of reinforced Ironwood. Ironwood is tougher than steel and much less dense too, so it easily makes for a good ship material but that megalodon easily tore through our side with one bite we were split in half. Luckily, we were prepared and had hooked it with the two harpoons deeply attached to each side of the ship.

We got onto the smaller boats we had prepared with some decoys out there that our wind mage blew around to make it seem like actual people were in them. The hooks were dragged around slowing the rapid megalodon to a very manageable speed. I brought out my kraken dagger and stabbed it through its eye as it passed by on me while climbing onto it my arm was nearly pulled from its socket, but I kept craving through its skull slowly killing it. It bucked and dived trying to get rid of me but I know how to hold my breath for 5 minutes and am also the strongest of my crew so there was no way it would toss me off.

I smiled remembering the long teeth we had a blacksmith forge into full scimitars which apparently was quite hard but we had plenty of spares we gave him over 1000 and the success he had was about 262 which was barely enough for our crew unfortunately I don't count our ship hand Micehal so he didn't have one he was like the kid of the crew we all took care of him but wanted him to avoid getting harmed he was only 16 this year wait 16 he's an adult now jeez I have been having too much fun.

"Godrick what's the ETA to tempest Fornostu (the home of the smallest Levithan which was about 300 meters long or about 10x the size of our ship)" I began to smile believing we would be able to kill it we had prepared poison from a basilisk which cost a damn fucking fortune of 10,000 gold. We also had bought the Super explosive barrel from an alchemist he said the explosion would have a radius of 50 Meters Squared whatever that means. We had harpoons to latch onto it so it couldn't run those things were damned fast.

"Captin we are about 5 minutes to Fornostu ill check the map and bait making sure we can get that damn bastard who caused my family to die from tsunamis." I brought up my telescope as we got closer searching when I saw it lurking on the edge of the storm it brought itself up out of the water towering over our ship and roared. We fired the few canons we had which had cannonballs filled with a corrosive liquid.

I shouted to the crew orders to dump the bait to lighten our ship quickly as our wind mage began to gather the winds so we could outrun the beast for a while. I gave him a mana crystal which cost nearly 1k gold. Mages were such a rare thing and only non-element mages could produce a pure mana crystal others would only make a crystal that could enhance the affinities of items we had made our ship superbly compatible with the wind element making us the fastest on the seas as long as our mage was alive and well.

The Leviathan rushed towards us crossing the distance of 100 meters in a flash even faster than our ship was planned to go so I used the pistol I had kept with me it was my fathers. I had channeled my rage and hatred asking all the gods to bless this gun so the bullet would hit true no matter what I was hoping to save it for the perfect moment, but I must save my crew. I fired the bullet, but the recoil ripped my arm completely off the pain dulled my senses, but my eyes were focused on the Leviathan with not the slightest sound indicating the pain of my arm being gone and the blood leaking out.

The bullet hit true blowing a hole around 10 meters around its eye exposing the skull of which had barely a few cracks on it but I could feel the rage coming from its other eye as it roared and the storm intensified our healer came over to me running up he used minor healing spells to seal the wound but I would never be able to use my main hand again it was completely gone the arm probably flew off into the ocean.

The first blow has been struck now what will you do Leviathan strangely it become more cautious. I taunted and jeered at it but when it saw my arm gone it strangely smiled but I noticed something horrifying over the hours it had lurked just within sight its skull began to heal the cracks not even the kraken had such a ridiculous healing ability it wasn't able to heal bones just the flesh but that was much more rapid than this.

Our crew began to chase it deeper into the storm until we were at the center with waves 40 meters high blocking our sight but we began a long arduous fight with the kraken it got poisoned by the basilisks venom slowing it severely as it began to slightly turn to stone but we knew it wouldn't last long thanks to its ridiculous abilities we had already lost 40 crew members when I noticed something strange my crew was falling sick and most were injured.

"Leave my brothers I'll take this and fight it to the death for our brother's goodbye my crew please collect its corpse when we both die." I smiled carrying the alchemists bomb hopefully this will work the barrel was only the size of a small box. I d=sat down in the lifeboat the waves slowly filling this boat with water I wouldn't last long, and I finally pulled out my mother's pistol after lighting the long fuse of the bomb the Leviathan immediately charged at me as it saw me draw the pistol, which was just a normal pistol, I wanted this though.
