I was a solider on the cruel battlefield I stormed over the barricades only to encounter a face that looked young and scarred frozen in fear. Tears leaked from my eyes as I remembered that I likely wouldn't get to go back to my family I looked at the child solider who was the age of my son when I left. I walked over to the child and said, "Please just run your too young for this don't throw away your life because of those above let them do the dirty fighting here."

I saw a grenade land next to us both and I instinctively jumped upon it saving this child who shouldn't be on the battlefield. I would trade the World to see my son and wife but not a life. I'm a solider not a monster who would feast upon the children but when would a solider become a monster. This world sucks I have been at war for two years seeing friends die and mortar shells splatter the corpses remains on me with a grenade getting dived upon by my friend who's body jumped a little.

I Can't die I must see them again. I pulled myself up the gaping hole with my guts wriggling out the child looked at me wide eye seeing nearly all my organs mush leaking out of my body I forced out "It's not your fault go be free."

I saw towers descend from the sky all around one landed next to me the land shaking I looked around seeing Beasts much bigger than any I had seen before. The guns and mortars we used against them had no affect it seemed in the panic and fear humanity united but still could not do a thing I only hope eventually someone will have the power to beat them.
