Yotsuba Maya was now angry, she tried multiple methods to get any information on this new Magic Engineer named Itachi Uchiha, but everytime she came up empty handed.
Maya is one of the Seven Sages, an operator who has access to Hliðskjálf.
Hliðskjálf is a backdoor entrance of the system called Echelon III, an information interception network developed by the USNA — that can gather information from all over the world. There are only seven people who can access Hliðskjálf, referred to as the Seven Sages.
While the program gives vast knowledge, the users have disadvantages: the data gathered cannot be stored internally to keep the data transmission from being discovered, and there are measures taken to prevent the data from being stored externally. In addition, the search history is stored 'publicly', allowing the other Sages to see what one of them looked for.
So she was reluctant to use it, since others will know what she is trying.No matter how much she was tempted to do it.
Maya now watched the video of a tester using the a ordinary Lux.Which before activation are small and compact, fitting into the palm.
Lux shifted from standby to active mode, and a bright blade of concentrated, stabilized mana extended forth. The blade was roughly a yard long.
Hayama spoke up"My lady, these weapons won't change much."
Maya frowned and replied"No, they will.From what I hear this is just a normal Lux, there are more powerful ones that are semi-sentient, having distinct abilities as well as a will of their own.They bond with certain people and those that do get them,will have a weapon that won't betray them."
Hayama was surprised, Maya could understand Hayama shock.
Originally she wouldn't be this frustrated,she knew this was approved by the Senate, when Toudou Aoba himself told her to stop digging for the person and Uchiha Technologies.
She was wary because this person was valued more than the Yotsuba clan, so such unknown and powerful individual, who can bring so much change with just his tech was making her paranoid.
She originally believed Tatsuya and Miyuki to become the protectors for there family.But now she was having doubt, since this persons appearance seems to have Senate's interest and they are keeping everything related to him secret.
She sighed and thought"I might have to ask Sensei for some information on this."
Maya was not sure, how her digging around is being viewed as annoyance by some of the heads of the Senate.
Also, another issue due to the loss of strength by the New Soviet Union in the Far East after The Arctic Hidden War, their military presence declined significantly over several years. Thus momentarily the threat of the New Soviet Union in the north began fading away, which opened up the opportunity for the Great Asian Union to gain motivation to invade Okinawa.Also, they were aiming to kill of Miya Yotsuba.
Also, at the same time New Soviet Union got information about this and decided use this to there advantage and not only attack Japan, but also get Mayumi Saegusa, since they heard about her magic, which was regarded as having the same potential as Maya Yotsuba's Meteor Stream, which is Maya's innate magic, is a Convergence-Type Magic.
