Isaac's POV
Isaac couldn't do a single thing against Augustus, while trying to carry the unconscious Johan on his back.
Lauritz, the Shadow Physician, and Isaac's men tried their best to hold them off, so that Isaac could find an opening to get out of there, even if just to hide Johan in another cell.
But to no avail.
August of the Iron Hammer and his men were way too strong.
Way too skillful.
And Isaac could only watch as the Shadow Physician took a few men down, before he was taken down himself, falling unconscious to the stone floor of the Purgatory.
Lauritz, on the other hand, was in worse shape.
The closer he tried to get to August, the harder were the blows he got from the enemy's huge sledgehammer.
He had a broken arm and a broken leg, and he spat copious amounts of blood.
Isaac let Johan fall from his back as he made a decision.
