A young boy could be seen running across a crowded steet. His muddy brown hair was ruffled by the wind as he avoided a car. The driver screamed a few swear words at him, but his hazel eyes remained unweavering. This was the day he would begin his journey.

Damian was a twelve year old boy that just finished his basic education program, that was offered by the Government. This was his last day in the scrawny building that the people in the slums called an elemantary school. Why was he so exited about this day?

Today was the date set by his teachers for the awakening. The awakening was a process where it was decided whether you were destined for greatness or if you were meant to be at the bottom of the food chain. As most children, Damian belived that he was a chosen one and was really expectant of what his trait was going to be.

When he was about to reach the school, a shining blue car passed relly close to him. Damian barelly dodged it and immediatley recognized the person.

"Damn you Reinald, do you need to be annoying until the very last day?"Damian said with a slight smile on his face.

Reinald Lucas, one of the only people that were from a decent family in this school and Damian's only friend. Even Damian himself was wondering how they got so close, but in the end it didn't matter to him.

He entered the classroom and was left surprised with what he found there. The class he knew was dirty and some window had cracks on them, but now the class was clean and fully repaired. Just when he saw the person next to his teacher Ms Jackson he understood that this was because of the guest. That man had a bright blonde hair and was wearing a blue robe with a bronze badge. That was the simbol of tier one hero and bassed on how many stars the badge had you could identify his status. The man had three stars and that meant he was a D grade hero.

"My name is Erick and today is a very important day for the most of you! Even if this is an insignificant city in the Genovya Empire, it has birthed many talents so far, like me. As you may have noticed I am a D grade hero, and looking at the ring on my finger, you can see that I only have an E grade ability. "

As he spoke he showed them a bright copper colored ring. Of course everyone knew what it was. It was the ring they will get once they awaken their abilitys and will keep in check their health status.

"Before we begin, does anyone know how was the world before the great change?"the man continued.

"Before the Baptism of the Universe happened, no one had special powers and there weren't any inteligent species beside us. After the whole universe was washed by the energy called mana in the year 2075 , everything was rebuilt up to the molecular level. This brough humanity to the Golden Era where we began to evolve, developing strange powers to fight of the dangers from the outer space."

"Excelent explication Lisa" said Ms Jackson smilling.

"Is there any way to grow stronger without having an ability? " a kid from the back asked.

"There is but it's painfully slow. It's called mana cultivation and almost no one uses it. Now lets start the awakening." Erick said with a disgusted face.

The first boy that stepped up to awaken his talent went back to his sit with a white face and a plain white ring in his palm. It seemed like fate was cruel with him. Damian pittied him, but that thought quickly dissapeared when he saw whose turn was now. The school's belle, Emma stepped onto the stage. She was a short girls with black hair that just started developing, but her face was enough to steal the hearth of any man. On top of that she was the daughter of the city's mayor.

"A grade talent!" Erick said with a joyful voice.

"Of course it's an A grade!"a envious voice could be heared from behind.

"She has everything!"a voice continued.

Emma went back to her place with a shining golden ring on her middle finger and sat down. Erick announced that her talent was healing related , but he was prohibited to continue.

Damian took a glance at her and saw a faint golden aura around her. He made sure that no one except him could see it and a thought emerged in his head. Maybe this was his talent! A talent that could see the atributes of his enemies was definetly useful. He took another glance at Erick and what he saw affirmed his thought. A faint green hue surrounded him and resembeled some clinging vines.

"Excuse me Mr Erick, but what is your ability?"Damian asked.

"The only thing that I can say is that is nature related."he said with a flat tone.

Damian was about to jump out of joy when he received the answer. This was definetly his ability!

He began looking at the rest of the people in the class and was shocked to see that the vast majority of them didn't have any hue. Ms Jackson had a dark purple hue, but Damian had no idea what it meant. He kept looking until he stoped at Reinald his friend. He was sitting next to Emma, trying to talk to her and a bright red aura was surrounding him.

As expected, when Reinald awakened his ability, it was B grade and fire related. In the middle of testing his ability, Damian heard.

"Damian Fowler, you are next!"
