Olivia was met with a shock when she tried to open her door, but realized that it was already open. She immediately became cautious as she wondered how this was possible. She tried to remember the last time she had been at her house, and if she had forgotten to lock her door then. The last time she had left home, she had gone for that interview at the hotel. Surely, she had locked her door when she left home. She remembered doing so. How then was her door now open? She wondered. Or had her house been bugled in the space of these three days she had not been at home? Was the thief already done, or were they still inside there? The possibility of this made Olivia even more weary.
She stood at her door for a moment, wondering if she should go in or go back down and call for help.
