"Dean wants to see Miss. Ganes."
"What did she do?"
"Will she be expelled?"
"That's a bad luck for a final year student."
"I feel pity for her."
My course mates who were already standing at the hallway as if they were the one being called, gossip between themselves as I quietly walked on the hallway proceeding to the dean's office.
"What did I do?"
"Did Mr. Anderson reported me?"
It would be so bad if I was reported by Mr. Anderson, another extra year or... expulsion.
The dean's office was perfectly arranged. His desk was made of oak wood with books and registers on it, there is also a nameplate on the desk with Dean. Hardin C. Coldstone written on it. The dean was sitting on a high up leather chair and across him was random office chairs and armchairs for VIP's. On both side of his desk had bookshelves with numerous books both educational, spiritual and random, the circular shaped wall clock continues ticking minding it's business... I guess and the large panoramic window view wasn't so bad.
I sat across the dean keeping a docile face, I did that after greeting and being asked to sit.
"How are you holding up, Miss. Ganes?" Dean Hardin asked politely.
"Very great, Sir" I nodded.
"Do you have any recent difficulty?" Dean Hardin asked with concern written all over his face.
"None that I could think of" I assured him.
"Here is the thing, Mr..." Dean Hardin started but I frantically stopped him.
"I'm sorry for what I did to Mr. Anderson" I pleaded enigmatically with my hands tightly clasped to each other and eyes closed.
"What?" Dean Hardin asked and based on his tone, he was confused. I gradually opened my eyes.
"I'm not talking about Mr. Anderson here" Dean Hardin said and I exhaled in relieve.
"Pheew" I smiled.
"Actually Mr. Wilson recommended you to join the art class for their graduation presentation" Dean Hardin stated and I stared at him in awe.
"Good idea?" He asked.
"What has Science student got to do with Art?" I asked politely but inside of me was burning in anger.
Are all the lecturers here... including the dean, illiterates?
"Your course mates recommended you for your good acting scheme in class the other day, so Mr. Wilson took interest" Dean Hardin explained.
"But I.." I started but was cut off by Dean Hardin's hand on the air.
"It's the regular Romeo and Juliet play. Do your best and you may have higher opportunities after graduation" Dean Hardin said.
Who is he trying to lie to? Am I a baby to fall for that? I can't even act?!
"Sir, you see.." I started sadly but he intentionally cleared his throat.
Yes, it was an intentional action.
"They hold rehearsals every Tuesdays and Fridays. Be on attendance and don't let me hear any complain about you" Dean Hardin warned and I nodded sheepishly.
"Leave my office" Dean Hardin said but I remained stiff staring at his eyes sadly... I was actually begging for mercy.
"Miss. Ganes" Dean Hardin showed the door to me annoyingly with his hand spread out and I left his office sluggishly scrubbing my feet on the ground.
I walked down the passage with sad facial expression, I was annoyed and provoked.
My course mates were anxious as to what I have discussed with the dean but I altered no word.
It's funny isn't it? A full blood Science student going to act some Romeo and Juliet shit... on graduation!
In anger, I didn't stay for the other lectures. I went home to recollect my thoughts.
The weather was great and perfectly marvelous for creamy latte coffee, I got a sachet from my kitchen drawer and turned it into my mug, as the kettle rings loudly I turned off the gas and prepared my coffee.
Jennifer wasn't at home, I missed her... at least her company would have eased my mood right now.
Staring blankly at my kitchen window, my phone on the kitchen mini dining table rang and I walked toward it, and Nathan ...my crush was the caller. I smiled and accepted the call.
"Hi Nate" I called holding my mug closer to my lip with smile on my face.
"Hey dear".
"Didn't see you in school, are you alright?" Nathan asked lovingly and I must admit he had a nice voice on phone which made me blushed like moron.
"I'm very good dear. Thanks" I said.
"Can we meet today?" Nathan asked nervously and I smirked.
"Sure. Where?" I asked... and I feel I was being too anxious to meet with him again.
"At Bristol Cafe by 5:30pm" Nathan said and I guessed he was grinning so happily.
"Sure. I'll meet you there" I said.
"See you" Nathan said.
"Okay" I nodded.
"Bye" Nathan said.
"Take care" I said blushing.
"Okay" Nathan smirked and of course I heard it.
None of us was ready to hang up from the call, I was enjoying his lovely voice and shyness and maybe he was also enjoying something about me.... right?
"If we continue like this, we won't make it by 5" I teased and he laughed off.
"You're right. See you, dear" Nathan agreed.
"See you" I ended the call sadly and placed the phone where it was. I really enjoyed his voice, he was so good and I can't wait to see him already.
I beaconed to drink my coffee but it had already gone cold.
"Arg" I angrily turned the coffee into the buzz machine so it would steam itself.
"Time to get ready" I smiled, took my phone from the table and left to my bedroom.
I dressed in a blue body tugged top, blue jean of Vi brant product and a comfy foot wear. I applied simple makeup which lighten my lips color and straightened my eyelashes, I weaved my hair backward which made me beautiful and a bit different.
I highlighted from the cab and walked into the cafe, I saw Nathan there already.
He was looking cuter and was in a blue stylish suit, I couldn't take my eyes away from him... he was too handsome I thought as I approached him with smile on my face.
"You made it" his face was filled with happiness as he gently pegged my cheeks, I blushed like chicken.
"I can't miss it for the world" I teased and we took out sits on the reserved table.
"Here" Nathan passed a banquet of different lovely species of flower to me which I received happily and inhaled gradually.
"Nice" I nodded.
"Glad you love it" Nathan folds his knuckles on the table with smile on his face.
"Thank you" I chirped.
"What should we have?" Nathan asked as he took the menu list from the table.
"I'll go with whatever" I said and placed the banquet of flower at the edge of my table.
"Cappuccino and Sausage rolls then" Nathan lift his gaze to my direction.
"I'm okay with it" I said and Nathan called the attention of the waiter who took our orders and left.
"Tell me, what happened between you and Mr. Hardin?" Nathan ask anxiously but in a polite tone.
Not Dean Hardin now Mr. Hardin huh?
I smirked and rest my arms on the table.
"Nothing much" I bluffed.
"I'll really love to know" Nathan insisted with his cute sad baby face, I fell for it... damn.
"I'll be acting as Juliet in some graduation play" I briefed him sadly.
"I'm sorry to hear that but I'll always be there to support you" Nathan assured and I smiled.
At least I got someone on my side.
Our orders was placed minute later... when I was almost loosing appetite and we started eating delicately.
"So does pretty Eliora have a boyfriend?" Nathan asked... he finally asked.
"No" I shook my head not lifting my gaze from the table.
"Why?" Nathan asked.
"We broke up... years ago" I stuttered.
"Ohh" Nathan gently rub his forehead.
"What about you?" I asked.
Was I falling for this guy or I just want to feel loved. Is this how it feels to be in a new relationship?... Like restarting everything and getting to know about and get used to the whole new thing.
The thought kept hanging in my mind but my face remained with unbreakable smile.
"No" Nathan said and began eating again.
"Why?" I asked... slyly though.
Before Nathan would reply, my phone on the table vibrated and I accepted the call immediately I saw the caller.
"Hey" I called nervously.
"Hi, I didn't see you at home" Jennifer said concerned.
"Yeah, I stepped out" I paused.
"Anything?" I asked anxiously.
"Have you forgotten about our plan?" Jennifer asked in astonishment.
"What plan?" I asked cryptically trying to remember the plan.
"Really?" Jennifer asked... her voice sounded like a provoked person, Nathan anxiously stared at me with that what's going on look and I squeezed my face pitifully at him, and he nodded and continued eating.
"Oh the plan, I'll be with you shortly" I hovered over not to make her angrier.
"I'm waiting for you. Love you!" Jennifer smacked the phone like phone kiss and I smiled then the call ended, I exhaled deeply.
"Are you okay?" Nathan asked.
"Yeah I'm okay" I said and then I continue eating delicately but this time I was picky and Nathan observed it.
"What really is the problem?" Nathan asked.
"I have other plans to attend to" I admitted.
"Is the plan with a female or a male?" Nathan asked and I smirked.
"It's a female" I gradually stand from the chair.
"Going already?" Nathan asked but I didn't have much time to say anything so I ran off.
Reaching outside the Bristol cafe, I gently rubbed my forehead thinking rapidly.
"What actually was our plan?" I muttered in silent struggling to remember.
