Annie stood and walked to the family tree.
“This is the family tree of Hugo du Payens who founded the Templars, I constructed this tree with the documents I found in the vault at Rosslyn Chapel. Payens claimed that he was a descendant of Menai and from the months of research I have done on these documents he was correct, he was in fact related to her. He came from a very old aristocratic French family and from what I could see from a letter he wrote in 1136 just before his death, the relics had been in the possession of his family for hundreds of years.”
Hugh was by Annie’s laptop and put the letter onto the big screen so everyone could see it.
