Hugh awoke to Annie shaking him roughly, he slept like the dead much to Annie’s frustration. He slid his eyes open to see Annie was talking rapidly but he couldn’t understand a word she was saying. Suddenly awake he grabbed arms gently by the arms.
“Annie, slow down, I can’t understand a word you’re saying.”
“I know why people are flocking to the Chapel, get dressed, we need to go.” she said as she rushed around the room throwing Hugh’s clothes at him.
“What, how do you know?” he said as his trousers came flying across the room at him. One second he had been lying in bed in post coital bliss and now his mate was running round the room like a lunatic, throwing apparel at him like some crazy person. He caught his trousers in one hand as Annie grabbed him some socks, throwing them in his direction before she started to climb into a pair of jeans and pushing her shoes on at the same time.
