As Pete and Sarah entered his parent’s house his father was there ready to meet them, he kissed Finn on the head and turned to Pete.
“Mind if I join you on your run today?”
“Of course not.” said Pete surprised, it was years since he had run with his dad.
Sarah took Finn to find Helena and Pete and his father left the house and walked towards the woods.
“You need to talk son?” asked Mani.
“How do you always know?” laughed Pete.
“I always know.” grinned Mani, “It comes with being a dad.”
Once they were deep in the woods they stripped off their clothes and shifted. Both their wolves ran for a while, enjoying the freedom, the smell of the trees and the wind rushing through their fur. Mani didn’t push Pete to speak, he knew him well enough to wait until he had decided what he needed to say. Eventually, Pete’s voice came through the mind link.
