I stared at the healer with annoyance that I was trying my best to hide. I tried to be as polite as I could when she asked me questions. I just wished for everyone to leave me alone. I was a little dizzy in the morning, yes. But I know my body better than anyone and I knew there was nothing wrong with me or my child.
“Well, everything seems to be fine.” The healer finally said putting away his instruments. “Your blood pressure is normal; your heartbeat is steady. And the child’s heartbeat is strong and healthy. You have nothing to worry about.”
“Thank you.” I politely said as I glanced at my father who was standing by my bed, looking anxious. “See? I told you I was fine?” I shook my head.
“Make sure to stay hydrated, eat well and rest when you need to. And try not to stress too much. I know how emotionally stressful time you all are going through. But remember, stress is not good for the child.”
