“I miss her,” I sniffed as I finally started calming down after crying for who knows how long. “I miss her so much. Why did she have to go away so suddenly!”
“I miss her too. Every day, every night. I miss her with every breath I take. But everybody has to leave one day, and your mother left a little early.” I looked up and he offered me a glum smile.
“But I know she would want us to live on. Happily, in peace. But that doesn’t mean we won’t miss her.” I looked down wiping my eyes with the back of my hand.
“What about you, father?” I asked in a low voice.
