Y/n's pov:
The days passed, and you noticed that Elenor was acting differently around you. It was suspicious. You noticed her light touches whenever you were close to her and her smile became wider when she looked at you. You even caught her staring several times, but you were to oblivious to get that she liked you a lot. She had this soft glow in her eyes when you talked with her. You got used to her habits and started to like them. One day she came home and was really thirsty for blood, so you even handed her a glass of blood. It no longer disgusted you. You liked her a lot and got nervous, when she was around, but loved every conversation you had with her, every hug, and every touch. You loved her smile and how cute she looked while reading. While you were at work and thought about what Elenor's actions could mean.
"Does she like me, or is she just polite? Damn, I need someone to tell me." You thought and had already a person in mind.
You got up and made your way to Alex's office. The door was open so you just walked in. Alex was working and looked up when she noticed you.
"Hey, bestie. What's up?" She asked.
You planted yourself on a chair.
"I have a problem and need your advice." You said and looked into her eyes.
"Spit it out," Alex said with a curious look on her face.
She stopped her work to completely focus on what you are about to tell her. You told her everything about what happened with Elenor, the cuddles, the hugs, and her strange behavior towards you. When you were finished, Alex had a knowing look on her face.
"If you ask me, I would say she has a crush on you. A huge crush." The other girl said after thinking for a few moments.
"Why would she?" You asked.
"Maybe she thinks you are charming. It can't be because of your looks." Alex said in a sarcastic tone.
You gave her a pout.
"Why do you even ask? Do you like her back?" Alex wanted to know.
Her eyes lit up in hope. It was obvious that she wanted you to get closer to Elenor. There was no other choice than, to tell the truth, so you took a deep breath and nodded.
"OMG. FINALLY. You have to tell me everything." Alex yelled.
"There is not much to say, only that she is beautiful, kind, and smart, plus she makes me food. She likes to read just like I do." You answered while blushing hard.
"Will you tell her?" Alex asked.
"If I tell her, I will probably die instantly." You said with a sad smile.
"It will not end well if you keep it to yourself. If you want my advice, I would tell her, the sooner the better." Alex said. "I mean look at me. I was not sure if Robin liked me back, but I took the risk and look at us now. We are in a happy relationship and I would never want it to be any other way. If she would have rejected me, I at least tried." She added with a soft smile.
"Thank you for your advice." You said and stood up. "I see you at lunch." You added and walked back to your office.
Elenor was still in your thoughts. How was she able to make you feel this way?
Meanwhile:
Elenor's pov:
Elenor was on the phone with her best friend Lena. She sat on the couch in the living room.
"I mean, I dropped a lot of hints, but she doesn't get it. What should I do?" Elenor whined.
"Maybe she noticed already, but is too shy or something? I don't know." Lena answered. "You told me that she changed. That she no longer distances herself from you and lets you touch her."
"Yes," Elenor answered.
"I think you should take the risk and confess to her. I think she may like you back, because of the changes she did." Lena said.
"But I'm too scared. What when she rejects me? It's not like we could go our separate ways. We are married, remember?" My parents would not be amused if I divorce my wife. The benefit a lot from our marriage." Elenor replied with a whiny voice.
It was the truth. Y/n's parents had needed a new lawyer for their business and were more than willing to include their daughter in the deal. It was a coincidence that it was Elenor's mother who sealed the deal and now the Vampire girl was married to Y/n.
"I understand your concern, but you have to do something," Lena said.
Elenor let out a sigh.
"Well, I will try." She answered.
They talked about Y/n and the upcoming meeting for a bit and after a while, it was time for Lena to go back to work. She and her girlfriend Lizzy had a bookstore, where both of them were working. Lena was one of the clan leaders, the youngest clan leader in history to be honest. Her parents died at the early age of two hundred or something. After their death, Lena had no other choice than take the leadership, but that is another story. After the phone call, Elenor stood up and looked out of the window. Heavy clouds hung over the land and it seemed that it would rain soon. She would love to go out, but she had work to do.
"I have to confess, but not today," Elenor said to herself.
She was scared. Scared that Y/n will reject her. Her feelings for Y/n grew every day. She was not able to focus on something, because Y/n was on her mind every second of the day. With a sigh she walked up to her office, to do some work. She sat down and checked some emails. In the distance, she heard thunder rumble and suddenly remembered the day when she first started to like Y/n. She was snapped out of her thoughts when lightning flashed before the window. She counted the seconds till she heard the thunder. Only 5 seconds.
"This will be a heavy storm." Hopefully, Y/n will drive safely." Elenor thought.
Y/n's pov:
You wanted to leave work when your phone rang. It was your father.
"Good evening." You said.
"Hey, How are you?" He asked.
"A little stressed but okay. " You replied while walking to the elevator.
"About the meeting, it will be in your grandfather's mansion next Friday around 9 pm." He said.
"Why so late?" You asked in confusion.
Usually, meetings like this were held a lot earlier. Werewolves didn't like to be stuck in a meeting until late in the night.
"Because of the Vampires. I want to do it late so they don't have to worry because of the sun." He replied.
"Smart. How many of the Vampire clan leaders will come?" You wanted to know and waited for the elevator.
"All of them." He said.
"Wow, you must have the right connections." You said in a stunned tone. "Should I tell Elenor then?"
You got in the elevator and pressed the button for the parking lot. With a soft thud the elevator started to move.
"That would be nice. Thank you." He responded.
"How about Robin?" You asked.
"I think Mrs. Park will inform her." He simply replied.
"Good." You said and stepped out of the elevator.
"If you excuse me, I have some phone calls to make." He said and hung up.
You smiled. Usually, your father didn't ask about your well-being. That was something new for you. It seemed that you finally had a good father-daughter relationship outside of work. A big smile covered your face as thunder rumbled over your head.
"Well, someone will be happy about the rain." You thought and had Elenor in mind.
It was your turn to bring some food home. So, you got to the new sushi restaurant down the street. You picked up some sushi and made your way home. It was raining heavily. You had your car window a little open. The smell of rain on hot tar was filling your nose. You drove home safely and parked your car as near to the house as possible. A sigh left your mouth as you opened the car door and ran to the entrance. You closed the door behind you and kicked off your shoes. There was light in the kitchen, so you thought Elenor will be there. You were wrong. No one was in the kitchen. You looked around and saw that the door to the porch was open.
"Is she outside?" You asked yourself.
You placed the food on the table and got outside. Elenor was laying on the grass in the middle of the garden. She wore a black shirt and some shorts.
"Why is she never wearing any shoes?" You thought.
She looked like a starfish. Her arms were stretched out, as well as her legs. She had her eyes closed as the rain fell on her. She looked beautiful but would never tell her since you were to shy.
"Hey starfish, do you want to come in, or do you want to drown yourself?" You asked with an amusing tone in your voice while crossing your arms before your chest.
Elenor chuckled at the nickname you gave her. She didn't open her eyes, but you could see her smile.
"No, I'm enjoying this. Maybe you should join me." She said with her eyes still closed.
The water ran down her face. You let out another sigh and took off your socks and watch. With your hands in your pockets, you walk toward your wife and lay down beside her.
"I don't see, why this should be enjoyable." You said.
"You have to close your eyes," Elenor said in a soft tone.
You did, what she said.
Elenor's pov:
They lay there in silence, letting the rain hit their bodies. Both were soaking wet. Elenor turned her head towards Y/n and opened her eyes. It was a stunning sight. Elenor enjoyed her view a little longer.
"She is so beautiful." Elenor thought while looking at Y/n's profile.
The Werewolf girl's lips were slightly parted and Elenor wondered how it would feel to kiss them. Thinking about Y/n's soft lips kissing hers made her blush hard.
"What is it? I can feel you staring." Y/n said as she kept her eyes closed.
"I just admire your face that is all," Elenor said confidently.
"Maybe, she'll get the hint this time." She thought.
But unfortunately for the Vampire girl, there was no reaction from her wife besides a light blush. Elenor turned her head back and closed her eyes again.
"What was I even thinking? She will never love me. Stupid Elenor." Elenor thought.
She was sad, but at the same time, she was happy to be so close to Y/n. They lay in silence again. After a while, she felt something warm brush against her hand.
"Does she want to hold my hand?" Elenor thought in excitement.
She opened her eyes and looked at Y/n again. The Werewolf girl had a blush on her face, but her eyes were still closed. Elenor smiled widely and took Y/n's hand in hers. The dreamy look she gave Y/n was full of love and affection. Elenor could lay the whole evening like this. The rain on her face made Y/n look beautiful, but that was just Elenor's opinion. Y/n opened her eyes after a while and Elenor quickly looked away, so her wife wouldn't catch her staring.
"I almost forgot. The meeting will be next Friday at 9 pm in my grandfather's mansion." Y/n said while looking up at the sky.
Her gaze was glued to the sky while her blush grew wider.
"Good to know," Elenor answered.
Y/n hummed in response.
"I am nervous about meeting your clan leaders and of course, your grandfather," Elenor said with concern in her voice.
"You don't have to be. They are all good people, except my uncle. He is just an idiot." Y/n said and chuckled.
The Werewolf girl turned her head towards Elenor and they locked eyes.
"And I will punch everyone that will look funny at you, I promise," Y/n said in a sarcastic tone.
"I would appreciate that," Elenor replied and smirked.
They looked at each other for a while, until Y/n cleared her throat. The redness had reached her ears in the meantime.
"Maybe we should head inside and change clothes. I brought sushi." Y/n said while turning her gaze back to the sky.
Y/n's pov:
"OMG. Just tell her you dumb idiot. Is it so hard?" You thought.
It was. You were not capable to say another word.
"I can't say no to sushi." You heard Elenor say.
She stood up and pulled you with her, never letting go of your hand. You made your way to the house. You wanted to hold her hand for longer, but Elenor let go and disappeared into the house. You picked up your shoes, socks, and watch and followed her. The both of you changed your clothes quickly and met in the dining room. Elenor was already eating, as you walked in. You placed yourself at the table and started eating too.
"I want to tell her, that I like her, but what if she doesn't like me back? How can I live with her in the same house then?" You thought and looked at her.
It looked like she was deep in her thoughts as well.
"Do you want to watch a movie later?" You broke the silence.
"Sure. This time you will pick one." She said and looked up from her plate.
She gave you a soft smile and your heart melted at that sight. A warm feeling filled your chest and your heart skipped a beat.
"How about a horror movie?" You asked and wiggled your eyebrows.
You started to get more confident around her. Sometimes when she flirted with you, you flirted back, hoping she would make the next move or something.
"If you let me sleep in your room afterward, then I say yes," Elenor replied.
"Are you scared to watch a horror movie?" You asked.
"Well, I just don't like them. I get easily scared, okay." She explained.
The light blush on her face made her look adorable.
"If that is the case, I'll let you sleep in my room." You replied softly.
But on the inside you were screaming: "YES, SHE WILL SLEEP IN MY ROOM."
You also did a happy dance, but just in your mind.
"Which one do you have in mind?" She asked.
"How about "The conjuring" ?" You asked and smirked.
"If we watch that, I will die," She looked already scared.
"Ahh, come on don't be a scaredy cat. How about you do the dishes and I set up the TV." You said.
Elenor let out a sigh.
"Okay, but you let me sleep in your room, right?" She asked with puppy dog eyes.
"Sure. Let's go." You said and jumped up from your seat.
You helped her carry the plates to the kitchen and then left to set up the TV. The excitement you felt was just overwhelming. Spending time with her was now your favorite thing to do.
Elenor's pov:
She took her time to do the dishes because she really didn't want to watch that movie. When she saw Y/n's face, she couldn't say no. The Werewolf girl looked so cute and her smile was so soft. It melted Elenor's heart.
"She looked so excited and cute, but now I have to watch a horror movie." Elenor thought and let out another sigh.
She was finished and made her way to the living room. Y/n was already sitting on the couch. The TV was ready to play the movie. Y/n was under a blanket and lifted it for Elenor to slide under. Elenor sat down on curled up next to Y/n. The blanket was just under the tip of her nose.
"Are you ready?" Y/n asked with a confident voice.
Elenor nodded and Y/n pressed play. The movie started and Y/n's eyes were glued to the screen. The movie soon started to get scary and Elenor moved closer to Y/n. She reached out for Y/n's hand under the blanket and intertwined their fingers. The Werewolf girl's hand was warm and soft. They stayed like this. Sometimes Elenor covered her face when a really scary scene was coming. She peeked her eyes out when she felt it was safe for her to watch again.
"If you are too scared we can stop watching," Y/n said in a quiet voice.
"No, It's okay. You will protect me, right?" Elenor said and smiled.
"Always," Y/n responded.
For the rest of the movie, they watched in silence. Elenor was scared, but felt safe at the same time, because of Y/n. The movie finally ended and Elenor was relieved. She heard Y/n laugh.
"What?" Elenor asked.
"You just looked really cute. That's all." Y/n replied. "Come on let's go to sleep. It's late and I have to work tomorrow."
Elenor nodded and they made their way to Y/n's room. It was still messy but the Vampire girl felt less scared. The room just felt safe.
"Do you want some light on?" Y/n asked in a soft tone.
"That would be appreciated," Elenor replied and climbed into Y/n's bed.
Y/n put the LED lights on above her bed and climbed in as well.
"Were you really that scared? You are a Vampire who could simply use your strength and knock any attacker unconscious. Even if they are supernatural." Y/n said.
"Well, I could, but I don't know how to fight. I just would be helpless, I guess." Elenor replied quietly.
"I have to protect you then," Y/n said with a playful tone.
Both girls chuckled.
"Can you even fight?" Elenor asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Sure. Do you see that sword in the corner? I trained with it since I'm ten years old and if there is an emergency I could simply turn into a wolf and swipe my enemy away." Y/n said in a confident tone.
"Okay, then I trust you," Elenor said and chuckled.
The room turned silent after their little conversation. After a while, Elenor could hear Y/n's breath getting softer.
"She must be asleep already." Elenor thought.
She turned herself towards Y/n. The LEDs illuminated the room, so Elenor could see Y/n's face. She looked at her for a while.
"How could you be so kind and sweet under your hard shell? You always act so tough, but you have a soft core." Elenor said quietly.
"Maybe she just has a soft spot for me? Who knows? Probably not." She thought and caressed Y/n's cheek with her hand.
Y/n was fast asleep and didn't witness anything. After a short time, the Vampire girl fell asleep as well.
