King Roderick walked down the corridor with his special advisor, Advisor Blackwood, by his side. The maids who were sweeping the floors quickly bowed their heads in respect as they passed. However, King Roderick did not acknowledge them and kept walking with a stern expression on his face.
Finally, they reached a wooden door at the end of the hallway. Advisor Blackwood opened it and they both walked into a room. It was empty except for a long wooden table and several chairs.
Three men stood waiting inside the room, their expressions anxious. King Roderick approached them, his expression is cold.
"What is this about?" he demanded. "You had better have a good reason for summoning me here."
The first man took a step forward and faltered slightly before speaking.
"Your Grace," he said with a trembling voice. "We're sorry to report that the two noblemen who were set to carry out your plan have been found dead outside the church."
