Huguel has been in the war against the government for over 10 years and has dedicated his life to the cause. He has become very successful in his mission to help the people and has become a legend among the poor. Huguel POV One day, a group of soldiers arrive to help out the people and to protect them from the bandits. They bring food and clothes and they tell us that they are here to help us. They also give us some guns to defend ourselves, and we are very grateful for it. One of the soldiers, named João, has a friendly personality and he talks to us all the time. He's a very good friend of mine, and I am thankful for him being there. I'm not sure how long they will stay, but I hope they will stay for a very long time. A few days later, a truck arrives to bring us medicine, food, and water. I'm glad that they are here and that the government cares about us. They bring us medicine for the infected people, and they bring us clothes. The clothes are very nice, we like them a lot. We need medicine, food, and water all the time, but we are very thankful for the medicine and the clothes. João and I go to the truck to pick up the water, and the truck driver asks us if we need any water. I say "yes," so he brings us a few bottles of water. We load the water on our shoulders, and we go back home. João and I sit down on the ground and we put the water on our knees. João laughs at me because I'm carrying the water on my shoulders, and he says that it's a miracle that I can even lift my legs. I say that it's because I'm strong and I'm a boy. João laughs at that, and he tells me that I should do it right. I should try it one day. I'm very thankful for everything that's happened. I'm very thankful for the Jacare Sul, the government, the soldiers, the medicine, and everything that's happened. I close this journal entry with love and hope. THE END
