Chapter 1 - The beginning

Hi,my name is Alanora Kelvin and I'm 28. When I was 10 years my parents moved from Canada to Nigeria. We were a very happy family until one day My mom got sick and entered into a Coma. For 2 years she was in a coma, my dad tried as much as Possible to keep my mom alive but to no avail. My mom died soon after and my dad on his own path became a full time drunkard and a nuisance to me and my community.

Because of my dad spent all his money on girls and beers, he couldn't give me adequate meals or even keep up with my education so I became a dropout and my dream of becoming a lawyer was cut short. I tried as much as possible to get a petty trade or job but I was an underage so I sold mom stuff and some of my used clothes to at least go to a lesson or something and I made progress but there was on thing, my dad always took my income after every sale on girls, drinking, paying debts or on useless things that we don't even need.

One time, our landlord came and threw our things out because we couldn't afford rent (what a b**ch) but I came to the rescue and saved the day with my hard earned savings that my dad didn't take and payed him. That night, I was looking for the remaining money out of the money I gave the landlord to use to eat but I couldn't find it, it just seemed it grew legs and walked or even probably ran. I walked up to the living room to ask my dad whether he took it and he just said"I did and so what" I was fuming with anger "you took my hard earned money after sweting for it and you just sit down her watching TV and you say so what and God knows what you did with the money, what a b**ch you are" I regretted saying that because after saying it a heavy slap landed on my face he started beating me and said I don't have the right to speak to him that way.

When he was done beating me , he sent me out of the house in the middle of the night telling me never to return again.
