As expected, Shiro almost sleeps less than three hours from her school works and also thinks about Austin as well. She looks at herself in the mirror and takes a deep sigh before getting her phone and she peeks at her phone to check the time and it's 5:30 in the morning. Shiro's routine will always be the same since she is in high school. She used to wake up early to study or do her requirements as early as possible since Lynx is getting busier because of his basketball practice, Shiro doesn't disturb his sleep and she goes alone to the school library. Shiro patted a little bit of lip tint on her lips along with her cheeks and mended her denim jacket under a plain white t-shirt before going outside her room.
"Ma... I'm going!" She loudens her voice once again and gets the keys. She walked towards the gate and opened it immediately when she noticed the sunrise was coming slowly. As she closes the gate, one of her neighbors that is watering the plants starts to smile and oddly look at her.
"Good Morning!" Shiro began to widen her eyes and hastily turn herself from a guy that she knows was not Lynx at all.
"Why are you here?" Shiro asked Austin while harshly blinking her eyes from disbelief. Austin started to chuckle along with his swollen eyes, he near himself to Shiro and arrogantly swayed his black cardigan under a white V-neck shirt.
"We are going to school of course... Where do you think we're going?" he asked her teasingly and he started to turn his cheeks up preventing himself from not laughing at Shiro's expression.
Shiro rolls her eyes, "Whatever," then she smiles forcibly and walks away from him and Austin immediately follows her while giggling like a kid at her back.
Austin smiled tamely once again and he went beside her and then grabbed the laptop she was holding.
"Hey..." Shiro gets surprised by his action but she never says anything after that.
"Did you have your breakfast?" Austin asked him without looking at her as they are still striving to go to the bus stop near Shiro's village.
"Later at school maybe after my first subject... I'm not that hungry right now," she coldly answered him back.
Austin does not have a chance to reply when suddenly the bus comes and they quickly go inside and are seated together in the middle portion of the bus. Shiro started to thin her lips and look out the window but somehow she felt Austin was looking at her but she wondered why he was not that talkative this time.
When the bus stops for the second time, some of the students mostly the senior years and high school students from the other universities fill the bus, and a moment later some girls start to giggle and most of the teenagers are taking a picture of an Aviation student who is in front of Austin and Shiro. Shiro wonders what the chatting is all about that's why she turns up her head and looks at who is in front of her. At exactly she turns her eyes on the seat, the guy also turns himself to them and they start to exchange glances.
"Mae!" The good-looking guy with a fair melanin complexion, along with his clean-cut black hair and wide shoulders that fit on his pre-pilot uniform.
"Oh, hey!" Shiro exclaimed and got stunned by him. This time she looks like she's excited to talk with him like her eyes are twinkling from what she saw and she even sits up straight the moment he calls out her name.
"It's been a long time Mae, how are you?" he asked her before exhibiting his charming smile and emphasizing her second name once again that's why Austin got intrigued and smirked at them.
"Huh... Mae?" he asserted sarcastically and that makes Shiro panic a little bit but she tried her best to neglect or surpassed his behavior by politely replying to her colleague.
"I'm okay nice to see you again Kuya [Brother] Matt," she replied and smiling charmingly at him.
"What's his name? Twat?"
"Austin!" she immediately whispered.
Because of what Austin said about the guy's name, Matt frowned his eyebrows and continued to look at Shiro.
"I never knew I'm going to see you again Mae, It's been a long time isn't it?" he politely said even though he heard Austin's remarks at him and just neglecting him for the sake of talking with Shiro.
"Yes Kuya Matthew, high school days came this fast..."
"Yeah you are right, I'll never forget how hardworking you are before Mae during our high school especially when we're together at a seminar before... I kind of missed it! I hope I can bond more with you when I graduate this year—"
"Mae... Mae... Mae..." Austin mimicked like a whispering demon beside Shiro while crossing his arms and not looking at them.
Shiro begins to startle while gripping Austin's shirt to stop him and smile back at Matt who is already comprehending their relationship and he also realizes that he is somehow interrupting them.
"Yes, Kuya Matt I hope to see you soon! Anyway, we are here already have a nice day K—"
"BYE!" Austin loudens his voice that's why Shiro grabbed him aggressively while they are going down at the bus and Shiro never had a chance to wave goodbye to Matthew.
"Get off me!" Austin demanded then Shiro let go of him and she started to frown.
"What's the matter with you? Brat!"
"I'm not a brat!" he pointed out and walked out.
"H-Hey wait!" Shiro unconsciously follows him and she feels her heart beating so fast from the anxiousness as she is hurriedly following Austin who has been walking like there is no tomorrow.
"Austin!" she called him once again while holding his arms that's why he stopped but still not looking back at her.
"What?" he coldly asked her before he took a deep breath.
"He was my schoolmate before in high school and he is in a senior year... we know each other because we were getting invited to the same conference but we are not that close! He is calling me Mae because he is just like that to everyone for he is a good person! But that doesn't mean a thing—"
"Okay," Shiro is startled when she sees Austin smiling at him and he is teasingly looking at her before walking away a bit from her. Shiro was struck from where she is standing.
"Why am I explaining?" she asked herself, and that realization makes her heart rise through her chest.
When they are about to cross the pedestrian lane going toward the next building there was an SUV driving on a fast phase that's why Austin got in panic and grabbed Shiro by her hands.
"WATCH OUT!" He shouted that Shiro widened her eyes when she instantly fell on Austin's chest, "That damn idiot! Did he see that this is a pedestrian lane?" he raised his voice and Shiro was still dumbfounded especially when she could feel Austin's heart beat.
"Are you okay?" Austin asked her while caging his hands to her head but Shiro immediately got off from him when other students started to look at them.
"I'm okay..." she answered back and they continued to walk with Austin's furious expression on him. When Austin walks after her, she cannot help to feel her heart beat is still oddly beating so fast and as she glanced at Austin's back, he quickly turned his look at her.
"You sure you're okay?" he asked once again and Shiro thinned her lips before slowly going beside him.
"I told you I'm fine!" she asserted.
"I'M GOING TO SUE THAT IDIOT!" he surprisingly shouted that's why almost all the students on the hallway look at them.
"Idiot! Stop shouting!" Shiro lowered her angry voice at him before nudging her shoulders aggressively on him.
"See you later!" she hastily told him and ran away going to her classroom.
As time went by, lunch finally came after their classes; Lynx and Shiro promised Asher to have lunch with them at their private dining room a glass compartment beside the University canteen and only them can have access to that place.
"Hello, Shiro!" Asher greeted her and clung to her shoulders while Lynx chose his seat and pointed the chair beside him to Shiro. She immediately understands what he was saying and directly goes towards her chair but before she gets a chance to sit down, the chair seems stuck on the table and it was hard for her to pull it over.
"Let me do it!" Austin suddenly appears along with Yangyang, Nana, and Mark and he helps Shiro to pull her chair and he just usually greeted them and sits near Shiro but then he never realized his friends are dumbfounded including Shiro and except Lynx who is raising both of his eyebrows while looking at them.
"L-lets eat!" Asher breaks the silence inside the room.
After their lunch and some of their classes, it's already dismissal, and Austin is still going with Shiro to go home. All of his friends just exchanged glances as they see Shiro and Austin taking off from the room and it looks like they need to say something this time right now. Austin walks Shiro home and Aunty Queenie sees him once again and bids her goodbye more decently this time.
When Shiro prepared herself for dinner with her mom at their home and the other side was Austin who was similarly at his mansion and he was surprised to see his friends at his home. Both of them eventually begin to wonder what's with Aunty Quennie and Austin's friends.
"So what is really happening between the two of you?" They asked them separately as if they talked to each other before confronting them.
"About us?" Shiro asked herself and recollected everything that just happened since last Saturday. On how they almost kissed in the Ferris wheel, on how Austin hugged her tightly while they were watching the city lights and how she gets anxious about Austin getting jealous about some other guy. Austin also walked her home but still there was confusion within her, that maybe she assumed in the wrong way.
Shiro and Austin started to widen their eyes when they saw them seriously looking and an aggressive heartbeat came through their chest.
