Hell week is seemingly approaching as many students of Cháo Yáng University occupy the library, grounds, and corridors just to study for the upcoming examination for this sem. Shiro and Lynx are being drained seeing many people in the library especially those groups of people who are just falsifying their reviews for the sake of buzzing to each other that was not relevant for the preliminary examination. Shiro rolled her eyes going to the Mathematics and Science section for she is going to borrow books from the library.
"I never get any single discussion from that annoying professor," Shiro demanded while scratching the back of her head whereas she is browsing different sources of Mathematics in the Modern World at the same time.
"You are always annoyed these days again Shishi," Lynx cracked up and teasingly nudged her side.
"Tsk..." She said and just distant herself for she is focused on her own.
"Oh hey Shiro!" Mark recklessly called Shiro that's why the librarian shushes him instantly and Shiro moved herself a bit away from Mark and Nana. Mark covered his mouth and they walk towards Lynx and Shiro while Shiro thinned her lips trying not to say something offensive.
"Shiro I think you will be more famous than me," Lynx whispered to her as well as cracking up that's why Shiro stamped on his feet and she gave him a death glare that makes Mark startled a bit.
"Sorry Shiro sorry! I've never realized I louden my voice!" Mark begged her while rubbing his two hands in front of her.
"It's fine," Shiro said coldly and look at the shelves once again. Nana whispered something to Mark and it makes him like there's a light bulb popping on his head when Nana lets him remember something.
"Ah Shiro, Asher said earlier that have some lunch with us later, I think she prepared something for us!" He delightfully said and Shiro glance at him and answer backed to agree with him and she steadfastly goes to the librarian to let her borrow the books she's been browsing. Lynx looks at Nana and Mark before he exhibits his eye-smile at them.
"Don't worry she's not mad she is just like that when the exam is approaching," Lynx explained Shiro's odd behavior towards them as he knows Shiro is not aware of what she is doing or behaving right now.
"Oh anyway we don't have Research earlier, is Asher already been there?" he asked Mark as they were walking towards Shiro that had already finished borrowing the books.
"She was in the council earlier that's why you've never seen her in our room this morning," Mark responded to him while he was happily smiling at him.
"Let's go," Shiro said to them and Lynx grabbed the piles of books she is handling.
"I'll take your sports bag," Shiro snatches his bag and ambles her feet away and they walk together going to the private room. Shiro is still quiet walking with them as she is now reading her Steno book, Mark peeks at her a bit and smiles as he remembers Yangyang to Shiro for they are both studying dedicatedly.
As he opens the door Shiro instantly heads up as she hears Asher calling her name.
"Whoa..." Lynx gasps at Asher as they see her change her hair and it makes Asher suddenly awkward while bouncing her short brown V-cut hair as well as wearing her Oioi collection logo pattern scarf top and high waist light blue jeans with black high heels on.
"Do I look weird?" She rapidly moved her eyes from her awkwardness that's why Austin who's been on the couch stands up and went beside Shiro.
"Hey..." he said to Shiro and nudge her shoulders. Shiro just smiles at Asher and surprisingly gets back on her state a little.
"It fits on you, you glow up more because of that," she said, and Asher instantly gave her a delightful smile and jumps her feet.
"Really?" She said and clings on Shiro's shoulder and instantly snatches her away from Austin.
Austin frowns at them and Asher sweetly puts her head on Shiro's shoulder while they are walking and Austin can see Shiro beaming at Asher's cute gestures.
"They are so annoying!" he said and instantly goes back to the couch and gets his Nintendo.
Yangyang looks up at him as he is studying their major subjects and forcibly gets the Nintendo in his hand.
"Our exam with Engineer Hernandez is important would you mind diving into your books and adding some brain cells to your empty brain," Yangyang asserted his sarcastic remarks on Austin and he smirks at him and crosses his arms to Yangyang.
"You think I'm stupid? That is so understandable! I don't even care about that Hernandez, that grumpy professor!" he stubbornly responded and got his Nintendo and get off himself on it.
"I prepared Salmon wrapped in prosciutto! Let's have some lunch first!" Asher announced to us and still clinging on Shiro. As Asher got off her hand Shiro, grabbed one of the packed lunches she prepared and placed it on Shiro's table.
"Have some!" Asher opened it and charmingly smile at Shiro that's why Austin who is been looking at them annoyingly joins them. He aggressively taps the table so Asher looks at him and she begins showing her annoyance.
"Hey Austin! What's the matter with you?" She asked him with her high-pitched voice and Shiro looked at her and chuckled a bit from her facial expression to Austin.
"Huh," Austin let out his disappointment as Shiro is still not looking at him. He snatches the fork to Asher and eats the Salmon that is supposedly for Shiro.
"HEY!" Asher shouts at him while stamping her feet.
"Ew! This is so bland!" He asserted.
"Cause you never put some sauce on it, you idiot!" Asher shouted.
"That's yours if you want," Shiro coldly said and grabbed another packed lunch in front of her and take a bite of a cooked Salmon that Asher prepared for them.
"It tastes good Asher stop listening to that annoying kid," she said while deep sighing. Austin rapidly moved his eyes and overthink what Shiro had said to him.
"Is she mad at me? She never glances at me even once! SHE EVEN CALLED ME KID!" He screamed in his mind that's why he clasped his hand on Shiro's shoulders.
"What?" Shiro asked him and removed his hands from her and went back to her business.
"I CAN COOK BETTER THAN ASHER! AND I AM NOT A KID! DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?" He stubbornly emphasized to her and dropped the fork aggressively before he walked out from them leaving the private room.
"Tss... that stubborn jerk! What's wrong with him? Hey Xiao Yang! Did you pick a fight again on him?" Asher bickering at Yangyang.
"Do I look like I'm going to join your idiotic conversation? I'm busy stop putting me on that," he said and turned up his round specs before reading the book once again. Lynx tries to hide his laughter and look at Shiro as she is wondering with these rich people around her again. Asher thinned her lips as she controlled herself answering back at Yangyang that's why she exhibits a punching motion in the air.
"Stubborn! All of you are stubborn!" She whispered and turned her back on them.
Austin directly himself at his mansion and Butler Qian gets surprised because it is still early for him to go home.
"Young master is everything okay?" He asked calmly. Austin just looked at him and coldly gave a yes motion and stride himself going to his room and slam the door so loud that it made his maids startle.
"I can't believe she is like that to me!" He said then throw his bag belligerently and lay himself on the bed whereas he covered his eyes with his shoulders. He deep sighs sulking himself about what just happened and instantly gets his phone chatted to Yangyang that he will never attend their class for he suddenly felt his head hurt so much and closes his eyes as soon as the message was sent to Yangyang.
When lunch break's done, they get off themselves for the next class and Yangyang already noticed that Austin already went home and he also added that he, Mark, and Nana will go to his mansion later. Shiro looks at Asher who is most likely not guilty for what she did to Austin and she thinks that there is something wrong between them that makes Austin get furious like that.
"Shiro, I'm going to my next class! See you!" She said and pressed her cheeks to Shiro's face.
"Uhm..." Shiro said as she tried not to get awkward about what Asher did to her. Shiro and Lynx waved goodbye to them and they started to walk while Shiro still smell Asher's perfume that lingers on her nose. As they continue walking towards the Zhong Main Building, Shiro begins to think again about Austin's behavior besides her Mathematics examination that will come next week.
"Hey are you okay?" Lynx asked her and she clasped the back of her head and looked at him.
"Did Austin likes Asher and he is jealous because I get too much of her attention?" she innocently asks Lynx and he tries not to change his expression as soon as possible because Shiro is serious about her question and she can't joke about a conclusion like that.
"Ha? I don't know... I don't think so," Lynx lied to her as he knows about what's happening earlier but he cannot say to Shiro about the confrontation that happened a long time ago when Nana said that Austin is possessive not romantically when it comes to a friend. But for this situation, there is something at the back of his mind but he neglects or denies it for a moment.
The next day, they are all inside their private room again; Shiro, Asher and, Lynx analyzing their research paper again as Shiro disseminates their parts for Chapter two.
"Thank goodness the two nuisance drop this subject, they helped nothing at all though," Lynx said to them and Asher smile awkwardly so she leaned on Shiro's shoulders and peeks on the paper that Shiro is holding.
Mark, Nana, Yangyang and, Austin enter the room and it makes a little bit of noise as Austin and Mark talk about happily the basketball game they watched but Austin broke off from his walking that's why Mark bumped himself on his back.
"What the hell," Yangyang annoyingly said when he catches Mark's arm and instantly let go of him. Austin looks at Asher and Shiro again then he makes an annoying noise when he screeches his rubber shoes. The three of them glance at him but Shiro and Lynx go back again browsing their papers.
"Hi everyone!" Asher happily waved at them.
"Hi, your face!" Austin teased and stuck out his tongue at her.
"Here we go again!" Asher asserted and leaned on Shiro's shoulder again. Shiro has been bothered by their fight since yesterday, that's why she changed positions and gently got off Asher's head on her shoulders.
"Send everything you have done on my email," She said to her and smile a bit. Austin is seated in front of them and brushes up his symmetrical wavy hair.
"Now... you are only three members on your Research?" he asked them arrogantly and looked up at Shiro.
"Yep... what's wrong?" Asher stubbornly answered back. Austin raised both of his eyebrows and then sneered at Asher.
"You are lucky we have noticed that Kate and Leah are not trustworthy people, or else you will be doomed you, air-headed girl!" Austin said to her and is still exhibiting his frantic expression on her.
"Huh, you are the idiot one here! It's not Leah it's Lean!"
"Yeah, whatever! Who cares about them? You are still an idiot!"
"Well, at least I'm not bratty like you!"
"Shut up you Dora the Explorer!"
"WHAT?" she said with her high-pitched voice again.
"Shiro said I look good with this! Right, Shiro? Right?" Asher asked her forcibly while nudging Shiro's arms. Austin was about to crack up when he thought that Shiro will never respond to Asher as she is busy again and probably will never say something like Yangyang with Nana and Mark having their own business on the corner because of the upcoming examination.
"Yes, it fits on you," Shiro answered without looking at them as she busily typed something on her laptop.
"See I told you!" Asher proudly said and gently touch Shiro's chin like she's her daughter.
[BLAG] Austin whacks the table with his hands and all of them look at him. Yangyang rolled his eyes and instantly take his headset, Nana just go back browsing on his phone and Mark began to get anxious from Austin's behavior. Lynx just smiled and looked at Shiro for he is reading her mind that Austin is being so noisy again.
Austin abruptly moves his eyes again, "You are such an annoying Asher!" he said trying himself not to stutter.
"What's wrong with you stubborn jerk? You are the annoying one here! We are just studying and you are irritating us!" She said as she stands up shouting at Austin. Austin directly stands up and faces her furiously.
"I am not a jerk!" he shouts back at her.
"No! You are being too much again!"
"Why am I too much? I'm just asking earlier and-"
"Calm down, you are like a newly wedding couple fighting...You have to go back in here Asher,"
Shiro said to them and it left Austin dumbfounded and Asher instantly panicking from what Shiro had said. Lynx cannot help anymore to laugh as Asher sits on the couch once again.
"And Shiro looks like your daughter!" Lynx teasingly said to them that making Shiro chuckle as well as Mark. Asher widens her eyes and hits at Shiro.
"NO WAY I'M GOING TO GET MARRIED WITH HIM! AHH SHIRO WHY ARE YOU LIKE THAT?" Asher shouted and Shiro still laughing at her that's why Asher teasingly hugs her and Shiro tries to push her away from her but Asher is persistent.
"Shiro!" Asher stopped because Austin called Shiro's name with his shaky voice and clenched his fist while looking at her.
"We are not married! I don't want to be her husband! Did you get it? Shiro did you-"
"Austin let's go... Prof. Hernandez is there," Yangyang interrupted them and he grabbed Austin and he stubbornly got off.
"I can walk by myself!" he said and clenched his jaw.
They finally walked away and Shiro is wondering again about Austin. Asher awkwardly looks at them and she tries to compose her words to Shiro.
"Ah Shiro, don't mind him! Let's go back to our Research, shall we?" She said to calm the atmosphere down. Lynx glances at Shiro for he knows Shiro is overthinking about it again but still he doesn't want to conclude something without Shiro's prior conclusion by herself.
When their classes are over, Austin never invited any of his friends to his mansion. He steadfastly drives his car at his home, hurriedly steps out when he got in there, and runs upwards of his room. Butler Qian noticed Austin's odd behavior recently that's why he followed him and politely knocked on his door.
"Why?" he shouted.
"Do you need anything right now young master?" he asked and there was a moment of silence as Butler Qian waiting for Austin to say something, he turned his eyeglasses up and deep sigh to ask again but suddenly the door open wide and he immediately sees Austin.
"I-I'll ask something!" he shyly said to his butler.
He let Butler Qian inside his room and he directly goes in front of the mirror and brushes up his hair that's growing a bit longer and it's falling in his eyes and it became more symmetrical this time because it's separating that shows his forehead.
"Butler Qian, What haircut suits me? Do you think brown-colored hair will make me more handsome or cool?" he asked him seriously and it makes Butler Qian wonder because Austin never asked him before about his hairstyle for he knows he is confident about his looks.
"Short two-block hair cut with bangs is good on you young master plus make it straighter then I preferred black over brown, I assumed you will stand out with that color," Butler Qian straightforwardly suggested to him.
"You are always serious about what you said right? I will trust you about that, right? Are you sure she... I mean is it noticeable?" He asked him again and Butler Qian thinned his lips and arc his eyebrows but he immediately smiles as he comprehends Austin right now.
"Yes young master, I'm sure about it," he said and bowed his head a little. Austin rapidly motions his eyes.
"Then summoned my hairdresser right now!" he said with his unstable voice and hastily look himself in the mirror once again.
The next day, Shiro became busier again as she is also the leader and even a president on their other subjects, Lynx tend to not disturb her this time for he knows she is more dedicated to preventing herself from passing every requirement on the deadline, for she believes it is not fulfilling to pass it late and the deadline means late for her.
Asher, Mark, and Yangyang pardoned themselves in their room as they need to conduct a meeting for the council. As Shiro busily typed her classmate's quizzes score for one of her professors counting on her for they know Shiro is responsible to keep and honestly recording it. Nana is also with them but mostly like he doesn't exist and never talked at least one word to them.
The door aggressively opens and they are sure that Austin is the one who will do that. They never looked up to him and they are still busy on their own.
"Ehem..." he said to them and they look up a bit. Austin started to become awkward and look at Shiro and he sits down beside her.
"Hey!" He called her and Shiro glanced at him.
"Why?" she asked as she went back looking at her laptop.
"Good... Good morning!" he stuttered saying his greetings to her.
"Uhm..." Shiro greeted him back while thinning her lips.
"Hey! I said good morning!" Austin persistently told her.
"Yeah, I know..." Shiro said to him and still looking at her
l laptop. Austin takes a deep sigh look at Shiro disappointedly and he starts to nudge her but Shiro just keeps on removing his hands.
"Hey, look at me! Stop pretending you are busy!" Austin stubbornly demanded on her.
"What the hell are you talking about I'm not busy," she said and aggressively types on the keyboard that is why Lynx secretly laughing behind his book and Nana peeks a little at them. Because of what Shiro has said to Austin, he became more impatient and dropped his bag pack on the floor, and instantly closed Shiro's laptop without her permission.
"Seriously you stubborn Austin!" Shiro loudens her voice and quickly opens it and gives a deep sigh of relief as she sees her documents are still saved.
"What's wrong with you ha? Make yourself busy too if you want okay?" Shiro cannot herself to say something bad to him.
"You are the one who has something wrong in here! Why are you like that to me?! You are such a bad girl!" He said and unintentionally pouted his lips and turned his back to Shiro.
"Huh?" Shiro instantly responded and crack up from his childish behavior. Austin heard Shiro laughing at him and he can sense that she is looking at him.
"Stop teasing me! It's not funny!" Austin said while crossing his arms and leaning on the couch and still not facing Shiro.
"Hey!" Shiro teasingly pulled his navy blue t-shirt that tucked in his blue jeans but Austin stubbornly removed her hand by tapping it not that strong. Shiro makes her laugh louder but in a sweet and cute manner then flicks Austin's nape for his hair becoming shorter and makes his nape more visible.
"You look good with your hair just stop being so stubborn and grumpy! Tss..." She said to him and it gives rise to Austin helplessly fluttered and his smile became wider as he felt something on his stomach from the excitement he felt. He immediately sits down properly while fixing his hair, tapping his bangs gently, and looks at Shiro.
"Yeah! I know I always look good but don't you dare to think I changed this because I copied Asher! I just... I just want to change my hairstyle suddenly because It's time for something new... you know," he said continuously and motioned his eyes from being awkward in front of Shiro.
"Then good for you! Congrats!" Shiro responded and still cracking up because of Austin.
"I said stop teasing me!" Austin demanded and push her that's why Shiro pushes her back more aggressively then Austin laugh out loud that makes Nana look at him. Shiro snapped her hands to Austin's shoulder.
"Don't touch me! I have to study now! Tsk..." Shiro said to him and she grabbed her Mathematics book plus her reviewer with full of notes and reminders on it. Austin nearing himself and peek at Shiro's yellow pad paper then snatched it from her hands.
"Hey! That's mine!" she said and immediately gets it from him. "You idiot! You don't have to solve the problem like that!" Austin boastfully said to her. Shiro pushed him away and distant herself while impatiently looking at him with her hostile expression.
"Mind your own business!" she said and showed her fist on him. Austin giggled from Shiro's expression and suddenly laughed out loud exactly when Yangyang, Asher, and Mark came inside.
"Hey what's happening here?" Asher speaks up.
"That's so easy! I will never spend that long reviewer for that! Hahahahaha!" Austin never minded Asher on his side while still focusing on Shiro.
"I'm not good at Math but who cares I can do it on my own in my way! So shut up you stubborn big head!" She said and snapped the book on Austin's face more aggressively this time.
"Hey, Austin stop teasing a girl like that!" Mark let out.
"THEN I DARE YOU TO DEFEAT MY SCORE! THEN LET'S GO OUT AND TREAT ME IF I WIN!" Austin shouted at Shiro and she became more fired up looking at Austin's arrogant face.
"Don't you dare to say no or else I will consider it that you are such a coward!" He added while raising his eyebrows.
"THEN DEAL!" Shiro shouted back at him and turned herself from him. All of them get dumbfounded by what Shiro has said except Lynx and Yangyang who are secretly laughing at them. Austin tries his best not to laugh but he likes to poke fun at her so badly and he challenges her more to make Shiro's competitiveness get active.
"Good luck! Even you are a girl I will never let my guard down!" Austin said and showed off his arrogant expression. Shiro thinned her lips then changed with her deadly stares.
"Good luck your face! Let's see that on Thursday! Lynx! Let's go!" Shiro said to Lynx and he is cracking up right now that gives rise to Shiro beating his back aggressively. Austin just exhibits his face on her and as he turns his back he begins to laugh hysterically when Shiro and Lynx finally leave the room.
"That girl! Hahaha!" Austin said whereas he is clapping his hands and looking at his apple watch with Hermes straps on his wrist.
"I'm going now guys! See you later!" he said and happily marching out from the room. Asher scratches the back of her head.
"Austin and Shiro's conversation is weird like them!" She said while crossing her arms.
"Just let them be Ash, I bet that's a normal conversation for them... Austin is like a 3-year-old kid living in a college student body," Yangyang said then open his book to review once again.
When their Mathematics class is over Shiro got startled to see Austin in front of her.
"What? I just passed by!" Austin affirmed on her and moved his eyes rapidly.
"Who cares if you passed by?" Shiro responded then Lynx look at them and arc his eyebrows.
"Don't fight in here," Lynx said displaying his eye smile. Shiro rolled her eyes and started to amble her feet but Austin hurriedly went to her side and bumped into her shoulders.
"Hey don't forget our dare! Good luck!" Austin said and instantly leaves them that makes Shiro and Lynx glance at each other. Lynx started to laugh and Shiro still got dumbfounded.
"That weird Austin!" she said and walked aggravated getting annoyed by Austin.
"Look what I have done! And now that idiot Austin thinking some chaotic ideas again, I should focus on my studies!" Shiro mumbled to herself while sulking to disbelieve about the deal she had done to Austin.
A dare that is no turning back.
