Levi
It had been mere days.
But his sources told him she was there, his shadows whispering of her presence, and they were rushing before they knew it, teleporting into the space, crazed and insane. And she was there in their dormitory, arms crossed waiting. She had her legs spread, head lolling against the coach, a dull look in her eyes, just as beautiful as ever. They paused panting, wondering, curiosity brimming. And she smiled, smiled as if her command meant nothing as if the events that had transpired had meant nothing. But they froze, froze as they wavered at the door.
Dante stepped closer, rage seething burning, but Levi held him back, a hand to his abdomen. And Rue grinned with no light in her pretty eyes. "You've been working hard." She stated simply, not angry, not meek. There was nothing in her voice, just a monotonous hum.
"We listen," Levi choked out, confused. The others trembled behind him, and he felt his Alpha now, felt him tossing within him, turmoil brewing. "We've tried…Our mothers, those that live, they're awarded."
"Better positions," Halcyon promised, a chirp from his lips. "They will want for nothing. We've looked into the regulations of Omegas on our planets. They're improved."
Valentino stuttered out a response. "You can look at it if you want!" He flushed. "L-later, of course."
Rue nodded pleasantly. "Good."
"We've not told a soul," Valentino swore. "We can't."
"I know," Rue nodded,
There was something about her that had darkened, and Levi swallowed, and felt the knowledge waver between them all. The lack of her scent was normal, a halt in the air from too many blockers. But it was the lack of mirth in her eyes that horrified him, the dullness that did not drip with the tease he was used to.
The Rue that he was used to.
"Rue," he whispered, felt as if they'd fucked it all up somehow. "Are you alright?"
"What did you see in the water?" She asked, ignoring his question, eyes moving to Seraphim and the poseidon was startled, fumbling as he licked his lips.
"Our souls are tied."
"But not to mine?"
He was silent then, quiet as he frowned. A beat and he spoke. "I don't know. You're not a beacon like the rest of them."
"But children, you see them?"
"Shadows," he mumbled, "of their eyes, of their limbs inside you, growing." She nodded once.
"What do you think," she hummed, "of forming an agreement with me?"
They were startled then.
"What agreement?" Altair echoed.
"I want to go to school, pretend to be an Alpha." Her eyes flashed. "And I want you to pay my family, my debts, their bills…" Her lips pressed together then. "I'll still guide you all, school wants me to as the only guide that can withstand your rampages." She laughed, and it sounded empty.
"Rue," Levi murmured, trying again with a lick of his drying lips. "What's wrong with you?" Her eyes twisted to his, staring hard. She had all the power in her hands, and yet there was something wrong.
"What do you think?" she smiled then; eyes curved into little moons. "I could command you to claim me now, I think you'd do it." His body shuddered at her words, arousal immediately darting through, jolting to his cock, incisors lengthening as if ready. But the terror that came was stark, biting, extreme.
Dante flinched, eyes widening, mouth slack. "You won't."
"I could," she shrugged. "Let you know what it feels like to take away consent, tie you all to me like a sick bitch and laugh. Because the world's fucked with their emperors lacking in their hundreds of heirs. Will you kill me for it?" She asked softly, tilting her head. "In exchange for more heirs, will you murder your 'soulmate'?" Her fingers moved, air quotes but it startled him, the wickedness of her words. The weight of what could transpire. His Alpha howled, whimpering so hard it had him quivering.
They were silent then, unable to speak. And Gods, Levi realised now how terrible this could become, of what she thought them capable of.
"Don't look so fucking sad. Maybe I'll just make you all apologise to every Omega you've ever fucked up, what do you think?" Rue pursed her lips. "But I think there's a limit to what I can do, where I can run or hide, eventually one of you will figure out how to kill me for it." She smiled simply, and raised both hands in surrender. "So I'll do what you want, and we won't test out my theories."
"What?" Levi stuttered eyes wide.
"I'll just be another side chick, just another Omega. Nothing too special, not a fucking broodmare. Satisfy my heats and then you can go impregnate your thousands of Omegas. You'll let me live the life I want to live as an Alpha, and you'll keep your mouths shut, hiding my secrets," she hissed. "In exchange, I won't force you to claim me as a pack and turn you all into beings that are unable to impregnate anyone else but me."
"The children," Seraphim whispered.
"After school," she answered. "On my terms. My decisions. My body. My time. Can't be a pregnant Alpha, can I?" Her eyes were hard then, hands moving, a slice in the air. "And then after that, we're done."
"We're done?" Levi echoed.
"Do Alphas impregnate the same Omega twice? Do they use the same girl for the entire pack?" She smiled then a brow raised, finger waving, a tut on her tongue. "They don't. They throw them out like the fucking trash, once the womb's done cooking once. They don't waste the fucking seed on the same girl. You'll do the same to me. You will."
"B-but Rue—" Halcyon blubbered, eyes already wet and steaming.
"Do you agree?" She snapped. "Once, one fucking pregnancy based on Seraphim's premonitions, only after school, and then I'm done. I want better rights; better care; your help and your discretion so that I can have my freedom living as an Alpha forever — no chains and dungeon prisons, you little shits. And lots and lots of money — enough for me to want nothing. I get to finish school debt-free, bills paid and cash-heavy. And you'll leave me alone after this shit fest to live as an Alpha with a steady job and a picket fence dream for the rest of my happy little life." She cleared her throat. "And this should come with a free healthcare plan and an amazing insurance policy for me and my family. So choose. I'm an impatient bitch."
"Yes," Dante muttered for them all, glee fluttering through the bond. Their pack Alpha was joyous, pleased that she'd finally accepted her position, and had finally understood the truth of her situation. That the Omega had provided a perfect deal, and Levi grew cold, cold as their words sealed their fate.
