Chapter 7 - Beginning of Chapter 3

Free rides to school didn't come easy, god no.

It came with a bastard that wanted her to rate his dick with the energy one would give if they were talking about the weather. It made Rue question the sanity of people and consider whether or not a brain existed in the biology of his species. For a full second, she gave him the benefit of doubt because perhaps he was a part of a culture that considered rating cocks at 7 am polite.

Newsflash: he was just a goddamn pervert.

According to the Beta, Hakon was en route to his workplace. He'd given her a ride as a good citizen of the universe and was a man interested in helping out poor little students who didn't have licenses and money for travel. And like an innocent lamb she had taken his offer without giving a damn about safety.

It was her bad for assuming he wouldn't take a pass at an Alpha, her bad for being presumptuous of the protection given to the male biology. Because in the spacecraft just minutes away from school, he'd sent her a message that featured his micro penis. His hands were centimetres away from unzipping his pants.

It was a nasty photo way out of the rule of thirds, featuring cum stains and tissues in the background. And there was a goddamn pen at the edge of the picture which implied (based on the glorious physics of perspective) his minuscule size.

He tried to make himself bigger (of course he did) and attempted to use the angles to enlarge his dick. But he had only managed to give it the aura of a nasty front-facing selfie one would take slapped awake by an asshole. Or perhaps a thumb shoved, fleshy and short upon the selfie camera.

The alien, all sleazy and full of smoke that pumped free from his lungs, had stared back at her, greying and ready for more. It was as if she'd start salivating for his cock because he'd let loose a chuckle, a grin plastered on his face. Rue'd given him her best customer service smile. Her voice was dripping with sarcasm, carefully wrapped within a thin layer of innocence. He'd understand if he weren't self-obsessed.

"What is that?" Men loved that question because he preened at the corner, smoothing back a balding head.

"My bird." Motherfucker.

"A bird," she laid it on thick, voice curling into a coo, "I grew up sheltered. Have not travelled the universe, So I haven't seen all the animals there are in the world. This one's so tiny and little, isn't it?" And it was micro, the shaft no longer than her thumb and the head the size of a clitoris.

"This isn't tiny, this is big!" He squawked and shot her a look of confusion. And she smiled because she knew what he was thinking, could see it in the pinch of beady eyes. Aren't you a boy? Don't you have a dick? Aren't you an Alpha? "You're from 69 and you haven't seen this?"

"My parents are very religious." She answered, a smile spreading wider across her face. Dumbass. "I don't have time for prostitution dens. Hakon didn't come easy, you know? Spent most of my life locked in a cabinet with the books. Mama didn't want me looking out the window, thought it'd give me funny ideas."

"Aren't you a—"

"I'm an Alpha," she clarified, sitting back manspreading, legs parting wider just so he could see her big and very fake dick. "And if you're thinking of joining my pack, I'm afraid we aren't compatible for reproduction. We eat our Beta and Omegas." She smiled, always sweet and kind. "I'd have to consume your DNA, and for someone outside of my species, it would mean biting off your head. I'm sure that won't be fun for many," she allowed her voice to dip into a purr, "but if you insist, I can make an exception—"

"No, thank you—" he took the picture, hurling the hologram back into its space, hands pressed tight to the stirring wheel. By then they'd pulled up to the gates of her school and she wrenched the door of the spacecraft open, dragging her bag with her.

"Well, thanks for the ride," she left the door open, and tugged it wider, "if you change your mind—"

The alien drove off before she could continue, the door of the spacecraft left dangling open. He shot off into hyper speed, and she chuckled as the flap of the metal exit fluttered in the horizon, left behind by its very distraught owner.

She hoisted her bag over her shoulders—it wasn't much, two hoodies, underwear and her medical products—sending a finger his way. Pussy. He couldn't take a little head-biting joke, and yet he was willing to showcase his dick to a stranger. But micro penis didn't matter in the greater scheme of things.

Hakon University.

She stood basking in its presence. The gates and walls that were raised from the earth, quarried stone shimmering with power and yet mottled with green and hidden behind the thickest trees. The gates were invisible barriers that hummed with electricity, flanked by two marbled soldiers with gilded wings that towered over her with the backdrop of the universe.

A landscape of glittering planets drenched in deep ocean blue in vibrant flames. Carved into the nebula, a cascade of dying stars showered upon a floating ship that was the land of the school. Upon the greenest grass and the endless forest of autumn leaves, was a marbled silver statue with a thousand arms towards the skies. And hundreds of gothic-styled buildings were nestled within a geography that dipped and rose.

Each precinct was a different design for the different schools.

It'd taken her two years to get here, three if one counted the dates, began from the moment she was fresh out of high school. Despite her confirmed entry, Rue had to wait a whole year just to enter with the freshman.

She'd spent a full year working just to get the lizard out of her pants and off her mother's back. But calloused fingers and raw skin aside, the odds were in her favour. Hakon was the most prestigious higher education institution in the entire galaxy.

With an alumnus that featured thousands of emperors, hundreds of generals, and millions of billionaires throughout the realm; it was a school that raised the cream of the crop and turned geniuses into stars and the powerful into monsters.

Anyone that had graced its halls whether it be a short summer programme, or simply a week of enrichment, was almost guaranteed a high-paying job with respect well-received from the rest of the world. An acceptance letter plastered prettily in one's resume was enough to triple one's salary and ensure a job.

And for Rue? Rue who would be studying a degree in the Omegaverse to calm and subdue enraged crazed Alphas and aid Omegas? She was set in life to be a revered doctor. Jobs would come easily, and money would flow into her pockets like water.

Hakon was a school that trained legends, so naturally, Rue had been left untouched by the lizard Alpha. Her 'family' was too afraid to fool around with her now that she was set for life—a potential money pot as long as she graduated.

Their jaws dropped open when she declared the news with a fancy hologram that came with a congratulatory letter and the details of her scholarship. It had flared, produced confetti that had been annoyingly realistic and had begun by filling her wallet with credits. The voice of the principal encompassing her home.

It was funny watching the looks of distaste from her aunties transform into awe. Hilarious to see them grow courteous and sweet to her just because she was destined for greatness. Annoying when the Alpha had tried to triple her debt wanting to suck more from her future. But his words had long been written on paper.

A hundred million credits didn't seem just as endless and impossible now.

Most of her scholarship would go back to her mother's debt and medical bills, but Rue could survive on much less. Just as long as she kept her schedule tight and her work consistent, she would outlive hardship just as she always had and just as she always would.
