[ Chapter • START ]
I am Leon Wendsing Leazas, age 19 (Technically 40 years old), born in GI0996, eldest brother of my late Markus Parapara Leazas, and my beloved little sister Princess Lia Parapara Leazas.
I am also the Supreme Commander of the entire Leazas Army and the heir to the throne, surprising right? Maybe not.
... and despite many, many concerns about my attitude of not wanting a concubine or wife, or a future queen, the concerns were overshadowed by theories about... well, myself.
I'd almost think of some of those theories as mere blackmail, though my ninja Kanami fully silenced them immediately with my command.
Honestly, I have a wide fanbase all around Leazas due to my surprising influence on the public alone! I suppose the cause of that was merely me just wandering around Leazas and partaking in events that put my position as Crown Prince on stone.
Maybe I wasn't truly supposed to exist, as misfortune tries to take away my life really hard.
... Like right now at midnight.
I ducked down to the ground, evading several daggers that came from the shadows, then rolling to the side to evade an axe kick that would have hit my head.
"Yep, Helman definitely sent assassins after me." I spoke while skillfully unsheathing my sword and sent a swift stab towards the shoulder of one of my assassins.
It struck true, dismembering the masked assassin's arm making him flinch and giving me another opening to strike his heart.
However, the man only smiled quite wickedly, as a dagger's blade was lodged on my side, making me grimace in pain and reflexively kick the man on his side before pulling out the dagger and tossing it away.
Suddenly, a few more daggers cut my skin, and another was even lodged in my back.
Clicking my tongue, I turned around and noticed that the assassins sent by Helman were already leaving. Assaulted by pain from almost everywhere in my body, I knelt down to the ground.
A violet haired girl immediately hopped out from the shadows, kneeling on the ground facing me.
"Your highness! Are you okay?" She asked, clearly worried about me as I immediately stood up and almost shook the pain, until I remembered there was still a dagger lodged on my back.
"Yeah! Nothing miss Maris could fix in no time!" I replied at her, before pulling off the dagger and immediately tossing it away. "Let's go, Kanami. We still have time."
With that, I immediately began to walk forwards, and hearing heavy footsteps coming from nearby, I figured they were from my soldiers.
"Leon!" "Prince Leon!" Shouts of concern can be heard from them, but I was more surprised when both Maris and Lia pushed through the crowd of soldiers and immediately approached me with worried faces.
When they began to approach me, it was at that moment I began feeling something very strange and...
"...BWEGH!?"
I suddenly puked blood on the floor, followed by the sudden, crippling pain all around my body.
No way...
... I just realized it now.
I've been poisoned!?
"... on...! L...n!" Lia's voice, although faint and weak can still be heard. I felt several arms holding my body up, and I knew it, I was being carried to the infirmary.
My head started to feel numb, I'm quickly losing control over my body, and I...
...
My thoughts began accelerating, my life flashing as I began to remember everything before my death.
I was just an ordinary 25 year old man, working as a developer of some rundown games that were all made from the latest edition of RPG Maker. I did know all about programming though it feels like I could still do more.
Unlike dying by Truck-kun, a meteor struck me while I was just doing random exercises around California, you know, for a healthy mind that helps me in my work.
Aside from that... what about my past as Leon Wendsing Leazas? Simple.
I had a decent childhood, with all the privileges as THE crown prince of Leazas. Yet I didn't really like the fact that I might become lazy so I began to eagerly learn more about the world.
Disciplining myself with the help of the head maid Maris and a few skilled teachers to become a full-pledged prince, and to act as a proper royal figure, I gained the support of most the people in the country.
Knowing the cons and pros about high popularity and it's risks, I had to push through and take some risks and avoid other ones.
Too much risks would definitely not help a prince like me, you know.
Right, what about my little sister, Lia? She was as innocent as a kitten, always looking up at me with a lot of smiles and was one of my motivators when I felt like I was getting pretty lonely.
How about Kanami? Well I was just taking a stroll around Leazas with my little sister months ago when I came across a hopeless ninja. Apparently she can no longer return to JAPAN because she would be seen as a deserter, and it was mainly due to her being lost. I immediately took her in as my personal ninja, barely minding the fact that several nobles have died under her hands.
Now, as my vision becomes more foggy... A few screens suddenly showed up.
[ Simulation System Online ]
[ All Sub-Systems Online ]
What does this mean?
[ Your last hope ]
... I might not believe my eyes. But if a system was just online at this moment, then it feels as if I just gained my plot armor.
Let me think...
Hey, system! What are your functions?
[ My function is to simulate a timeline where you can act freely (at most times) ]
[ It is your job to change that simulated timeline's path, and the more it deviates from a certain path it already is moving at, the better the rewards you will get ]
[ Your punishment? None, as long as the timeline deviates even for a small moment, you cannot be punished ]
[ It is my job to give you those rewards based on this system's evaluation ]
I see! Then, what about my current life?
[ Your life will be saved, so do not worry, Host. Time will move very slowly here to ensure you will wake up at the right moment after a "Simulation" ]
[ Please note that a simulation can last a few days, or a few months and be very, very realistic. But it may extend to years or even decades, or maybe centuries based on your actions alone. ]
A faint smile came from my face, and a small relieved sigh exited my mouth.
System, should we start now?
*ding...*
That sound alone feels like it was from a wind chime, yet it was something that makes me feel even more sleepier.
The pain is now gone, though...
Lia, Maris, Kanami... and the entirety of Leazas... just wait for me.

[ You are Gamma, a 13 year old orphan from a small town around the far southern border of the Opiros Empire, living like a dog playing around the said town along with your playmates. ]
[ One of your caretakers was Gele, a teenage girl with immense potential in her technological arts and an aspiring philosoper for the New Opiros Empire. She also seemed to be fond of everyone in the countryside you are living on. ]
[ Fortunately you are her most cherished and pampered orphan in the town, making the other orphans become quite jealous at you. Everyone seemed to be kind-hearted and friendly too, leaving your start of a journey as an easy one ]
[ There are times where she leaves the town for a journey to the Opiros Empire's capital for her philosophical work, so you are left alone quite a lot ]
[ THIS SIMULATION STARTS NOW ]
My eyes opened after reading the informations that were shown to me, engraving them deep into my head for me to remember.
Though...
"Ah, I've become younger and less well-built. This is... troublesome. At least, I still have my dark blue hair and blue eyes." I complained under my breath, as I was quite lucky that the technology is the same as the real world.
Sighing under my mouth, I began stretching for 10 minutes since 20 minutes hurts for this little body of mine. After that, I began to do my physical exercise (25 Push-ups, 25 Sit-ups, and 25 Squats) since there might be dangers I didn't see.
And honestly that was pretty tiring enough to leave me soaked up in sweat and laying down on the ground.
"Man, that was pretty good~" I spoke, sighing for the second time this day.
I was about to get up and try ignoring the feeling of pain all around my body, until the door near me opened to reveal the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
Bright blue hair that reached down to her hips, eyes as blue as the sky, and a fair face that would make a man fall in love at first sight.
"Gamma! I've already prepared breakfast for like, 10 minutes ago! What happened around here!" The girl asked me with a obviously worried tone, while helping me up from the ground. "Did you have a nightmare?"
Not knowing what to say, I reluctantly said yes.
Hmm... this might be a beginning of a new journey...
