In the world of immortal cultivation, they normally say that every single moment is precious and shouldn't ever be wasted wantonly.
Leisure can also be considered part of cultivation after a long day of arduous training since at that time one can be considered to be at peace.
Cultivation isn't always about an eternity of seclusion, meditation, and fighting. If it was like that then the Great Dao wouldn't be a limitless concept but a fixed one.
The world is an unfair place and maybe some cultivator out there in the Omniverse is practicing cultivation as a leisure. The possibilities are simply uncountable.
Well, there are simply lots of explained and unexplained mysteries when it comes to the world of cultivation.
After having a good night's sleep, the following day Zhao Wei didn't slack off in his training even though from an outside perspective he could have been considered to be already saturated in terms of attainment.
Most of his skills were grandly perfected and only his evolvable [Primordial Stellar Energy Body Refining Technique] was at the beginner level of mastery. Its rank was unknown even to Zhao Wei but he had a profound sense of its future potential. Within it rested multiple variations of transformation.
In the courtyard which has seen better days due to a certain someone's destruction tendency, Zhao Wei experimented with the self-created [Blazing Solar Finger].
A golden ray of concentrated solar energy shot out from his extended index finger. The air hummed in defiance as the golden ray cleaved a nearby two.
"Just how many times have I done this?" Zhao Wei smiled sheepishly as his eyes swept across the ruthlessly decapitated trees and boulders present in his courtyard.
"And I thought I could easily keep it environmentally friendly." Light sarcasm dripped from his voice.
Zhao Wei then shrugged helplessly. "Well, planets and entire universes are constantly being destroyed as I am speaking right now. My little actions are negligible in the grand scheme of things."
"Activists won't sue me here, right?"
All of a sudden, Zhao Wei felt a bulb light up inside his mind as random crazy thoughts surfaced.
"Can I shoot the [Blazing Solar Rays] through the eyes like a Kryptonian?"
"How about releasing an ultra-thin solar beam through the mouth like Godzilla Earth or Golden Sentry?"
"In a world where overpowered eye abilities are the mainstream won't that just be the perfect fit for me?"
A lunatic glint brightened his eyes.
"It's feasible and executable. If it's not an impossibility then I can do it very well. Well, even impossibilities can be made possibilities in my current reality."
With how powerful his current physique was courtesy of the [Primordial Stellar Energy Body Refining Technique], Zhao Wei knew that his ability to resist abnormalities in temperature levels was quite exemplary.
But he had his limits and he knew it.
"The Man of Steel and his Marvel version are special cases. Godzilla Earth uses nuclear energy to shoot such high levels of destruction through its mouth. They are all so cool." (Author's Note: I don't know anything about the physics surrounding heat vision. Welp, there isn't any physics to explain.)
Zhao Wei then entered training mode as he assumed a lotus position.
From his energy center (Dantian), Zhao Wei circulated his golden inner strength through his energy pathways (meridians) and in the process converted it into extreme yang energy.
Zhao Wei could feel his blood boiling as if a furnace had been placed inside of his body. Hot waves of steam began to radiate off him as a result of sweat droplets being evaporated the moment they formed on his skin's surface.
An illusion of space distortions occurred around his form due to the heat radiations.
Zhao Wei could feel the extreme yang energies travel up his throat like a river of magma defying gravity.
A blinding golden light intensely shone from his cheeks that had started to inflate due to the energies wanting to be expelled and if Zhao Wei wasn't careful they would quickly seek other orifices to exit.
Hellbent on not resisting the urges of the volatile extreme yang energies, Zhao Wei abruptly pulled his head backward and opened his mouth toward the gloomy afternoon sky.
Several rays of golden solar beams erupted from Zhao Wei's mouth like disco lights from a disco ball as they spliced the dark clouds apart and added light and vigor to the sombreness.
It was quite an artistic scene touched with the intent of destruction and annihilation of the heavens above.
"Shit, that was definitely something straight out of a Shin Godzilla movie." Zhao Wei lolled his tongue out like a thirsty dog as hot vapor emanated forth from his mouth. His words came out funnily due to having his tongue out of its natural habitat.
"Control." He then lightly mumbled with a subtle frown showing on his face.
"I should have control when using 'Solar Breath' or else I would easily risk destroying everything in the vicinity."
Solar Breath was the name that he had decided to give the skill in remembrance of the old gigantic lizard from his childhood fanaticism.
"Since it's my first time trying something as crazy as spitting radiation from my mouth like a monster, I think it's understandable." Zhao Wei comically nodded to himself.
"It's all about evolution and control. I should be able to pull off that ultra-thin display of Solar Breath after some practicing."
Zhao Wei then used the rest of the day and the following day to tame the disorder and volatility of the extreme yang energies into one ultra-destructive Solar Breath. Solar Breath's current power wasn't that despair-inducing but with the increase of his cultivation strength, its power was also going to similarly increase. Apart from its extremely hot temperatures that could easily melt a hole through flesh, Solar Breath could also emanate concussive forces capable of pushing targets away from him.
Just like that a month passed and while lost within the realm of insane training, Zhao Wei didn't even feel the weight of the passage of time.
Time is insignificant when one invests their time in something they solely enjoy but if they don't, they would feel as if the world around them has stagnated and the universe isn't expanding anymore.
In a completely dark room, the silhouette of a human could barely be seen due to the presence of one anomaly - the dim glow of yellowish-red orbs.
The intensity of the glow was then increased up a notch and it was revealed that the yellowish-red glow originated from a man.
With each step that he took, it would seem as if two glowing points were moving on their own amidst the darkness.
Finally, the outline of Zhao Wei's face could be seen as he went outside with his muscular chest naked for all to admire.
Leaves escaped from the thick branches of the ancient trees while dancing to a tuneless song of the subtle wind before kissing the ground.
Zhao Wei could feel the Summer warmth embracing his sunkissed hard skin.
The yellowish-red glow in his eyes had faded as he looked at the cloudless and clear vault of heaven.
'Why isn't he here yet? Did something happen?' Zhao Wei casually thought with wonder while placing his hands behind his back.
ZAP!
A yellowish-red beam suddenly erupted from his eyes before returning to normal.
Almost instantly, a small bird with the features of a sparrow and an eagle dropped on the ground, a few steps away from where Zhao Wei was standing.
"That makes it the thirtieth Mach Eagle Sparrow."
Zhao Wei smiled as he picked up the fresh corpse from the ground.
"Food." He muttered the signature words whenever he killed a prey.
"Zhao Wei, I have come to bargain." Zhao Yufei suddenly glided into his courtyard while flashing him a heart-melting smile.
She then openly eyed the dead creature in his hands like a hungry predator.
Zhao Wei grumbled inwardly.
'Ugh, Pavlov why won't you give it a rest?!'
Zhao Yufei has been appearing whenever he finishes a hunt for the past few weeks.
And with the same damn words pouring out of her stubborn mouth!
What a lying foodie!
There have never been any bargain involved when it came to food!
