Chapter 7 - The Dark Forest

The next day, the group continued their journey, following the path that the amulet had shown Alex in his vision. As they walked, they came to a dense forest, where the trees were so thick that the sunlight barely penetrated the canopy.

"This is the Dark Forest," Elder Soren said, his voice grave. "It's a dangerous place, full of dark magic and malevolent creatures. We must be careful."

As they entered the forest, Alex felt a sense of foreboding. The air felt thick and heavy, and he could sense a palpable sense of danger all around them.

They walked for hours, their progress slow and cautious. They encountered strange, twisted trees that seemed to move of their own accord, and heard eerie whispers that seemed to come from nowhere.

As the sun began to set, they realized that they were hopelessly lost. They had been walking in circles, unable to find their way out of the forest.

Suddenly, they heard a loud roar, and a huge, shadowy figure appeared before them. It was a massive creature, with sharp teeth and glowing eyes, and it was charging straight at them.

Lila quickly cast a spell, creating a protective shield around them. The creature crashed into the shield, but was unable to penetrate it.

"We have to get out of here," Elder Soren said, his voice urgent. "Follow me."

He led the group through the forest, moving as quickly as he could. They heard the creature's roars behind them, getting closer and closer.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they burst out of the forest into a clearing. The creature stopped at the edge of the forest, snarling and growling, unable to follow them beyond its borders.

Alex looked back at the forest, feeling a sense of relief and awe. He knew that they had narrowly escaped a terrible fate, and he was grateful for the bravery and quick thinking of his companions.

As they made camp for the night, Alex couldn't help but think about the dark magic that lingered in the forest. He knew that they would have to be even more careful as they continued their journey, for the dangers that lay ahead were far greater than he could have ever imagined.
