#Chapter44 Come up with a plan
I have tried to enter the house in absolute silence. Still, I realize that my effort is not enough when I find my father in the living room watching television. /"Daughter, where have you been?/" he asks. Then he narrows his eyes /"you got a tan, were you at the beach?/" he continues to inquire.
I walk up to him, greet him, and smile. /"Yes, dad, I was at the beach with some friends and I've tanned too much/" I lie and put on my best poker face. /"I'm going to take a shower and then go to sleep; I'm tired,/" I lie.
/"Have you had dinner yet?/" he asks me before I can go upstairs to my room.
/"Yes, we went to a restaurant on the beach/" I make an excuse. I go upstairs, and halfway through, I yell, /"have a good night,/" and before he can ask me something, I go to my room.
