"Damn it, White Snake." The toad sage, who had just escaped, hid in a dark cave, clutching his wounds in agony.
After being entangled by White Snake, his body had several fractures that affected his mobility. He resented the alliance between White Snake and Naruto and scoffed at White Snake's arrogance. If White Snake had been more cautious, he might not have been severely injured by Naruto. However, his arrogance led to his downfall.
The toad sage didn't believe that White Snake could emerge unscathed from such a powerful attack. It was possible that White Snake was already seriously injured, or even dead.
"Uzumaki Naruto's ambition is too great. He actually intends to control three worlds." The toad sage thought about the Primordial Master who had waged war against the Shinobi World in the past. The Primordial Master had led an army of spirits that had greatly impacted the Shinobi World. However, in the end, the Shinobi World's resistance had prevailed, and the Primordial Master's plans had been thwarted, leading to the decline of the Primordial World.
But all of that changed when Naruto was born.
Naruto inherited the Primordial World's power and even developed the Reapers, turning them into Shinigami and Hollows. In terms of individual combat strength and potential, the Reapers and Hollows had surpassed both spirits and humans, upsetting the balance of the three worlds.
The toad sage knew that he had to survive and quickly find Slug to combine their powers. Together, they could potentially rival Naruto.
However, as he heard the approaching footsteps, the toad sage felt despair. He looked at Naruto, who was calmly walking towards him, with a chill in his heart.
"Are you here, Toad Sage? It's time to go." Naruto said in a gentle tone as he approached the cave, his Zanpakuto trailing behind him, leaving deep marks on the ground.
The toad sage hesitated, realizing that there was no escape. He knew that Naruto was too powerful.
"Please spare the Toad Clan," the toad sage pleaded urgently. "I'm willing to become your subordinate. As long as you spare me, the Spirit Society will obey your command. I'll be obedient!"
"Give the Toad's territory in Mount Myoboku to you, you can kill them if you want, they can all become your subordinates as long as you spare me. I'm an immortal, and if I become a Shinigami, I can reach the level of the Six Paths. I'll be the most useful tool for the Spirit Society."
Naruto looked at the toad sage, who was pleading desperately, and smirked disdainfully.
"To me, whether it's a human or an immortal, they are just ants that I can crush at will."
With those words, Naruto's Reapers engulfed the toad sage, and he turned into ashes without even a scream.
Naruto calmly looked in the direction where the Great Toad Sage had fled, then nonchalantly wiped his hands.
"It's over," he muttered.
Naruto knew that he had defeated two of the Spirit Society's Three Great Sages. White Snake had slightly lower power than the Great Toad Sage. After this battle, Naruto understood the strength of these two sages.
The Great Toad Sage was nearly at the level of the Six Paths, and his full power could match the destructive force of the Six Paths. White Snake, on the other hand, was slightly weaker. If the two sages had joined forces, they could have posed a significant threat to Naruto, but their injuries from their internal conflict had made them vulnerable.
Now, Naruto turned his attention to Katsuyu in the Shikkotsu Forest. The Spirit Society had lost two of its sages, and Naruto intended to bring the Spirit World under his control.
The Spirit Realm's darkest hour had arrived.
