I watched as the small girl ran around her room. "The enemy's child" . She was playing with her stuffed toys.

She looked so innocent, carefree, happy. I knew what she was to me, but she was too small to know. She may be an early shifter but I didn't want to ruin her childhood.

So I would wait. I would wait the full twelve years, until my beauty turns eighteen.
