Asura was painting heavily and looked at Undead Romeo, whose face appeared as if he had just entered a battle.
Asura rushed at Romeo again, delivering a kick to his head, but Romeo managed to block it. Asura then spun in mid-air, and this time Romeo couldn't block the attack, receiving it on the right side of his face.
Asura landed on his hand and executed a flip, landing back on his feet. He began gathering his spiritual energy. Undead Romeo did the same after stabilizing himself. After a few seconds, Asura shouted, "Total annihilation," and a black beam shot out from him, obliterating everything in its path.
Undead Romeo didn't shout, but he opened his mouth as if he was about to unleash his own spiritual attack. Though no voice came from his mouth, someone skilled in lip reading would understand that he shouted, "Erase."
A green beam shot out from Undead Romeo, and what's more, there were eerie shadows of skeleton skulls surrounding the green beam, giving it a creepy appearance.
When the two forces collided, surprisingly, they didn't create a sonic boom. However, the collision created powerful shockwaves.
As the shockwaves continued to ripple outwards, those caught in their path struggled to maintain their balance. Trees were uprooted, and boulders were thrown aside as if they were mere pebbles. The shockwaves threatened to consume the entire area, and the destructive force was on par with the legendary clashes between Xiao Chen and Karishma.
As the dust and debris settled, the aftermath of the confrontation between Asura and Undead Romeo became evident. Both combatants stood in mid-air, their energy reserves depleted, but only Asura's face showed a little sign of exhaustion. The battleground below, once lush and serene, had been transformed into a chaotic, desolate landscape.
After witnessing the unemotional expression on Undead Romeo's face following such a colossal collision, Asura muttered, "He truly is a troublesome enemy." but he wasn't disheartened instead his fighting intent increased yet to another level.
Asura hovered in the air, catching his breath as he surveyed the devastation below. The landscape had been utterly transformed by the explosive collision of their attacks.
Across from him, Undead Romeo remained suspended in the air, showing no signs of fatigue. Asura shook his head - battling an opponent who felt no pain or exhaustion was proving troublesome indeed.
Undead Romeo suddenly spread his palm and the dagger that Asura had previously knocked away returned to Undead Romeo's hand.
Steel determination in his eyes, Asura reached into his spiritual space and retrieved his sword. He raised it high, ready for another confrontation. Despite being weakened from their prolonged battle with Undead Romeo, Asura was determined to continue the fight until there was nothing left.
Like a coiled spring, Asura launched himself at Romeo for another exchange of blows. Romeo met him head-on, dagger twirling. Though Asura's strikes were slower now, his technique was flawless as he sought openings in Romeo's defense.
They traded a flurry of strikes, dancing along the air currents. Asura's lungs burned with effort and his muscles screamed in protest, but he pushed past the pain. Romeo moved as swiftly and fluidly as ever, unaffected by the length of the battle.
Asura was aware that he was approaching his limit. It wasn't that he had truly reached his limit, but utilizing his hidden strength for an extended period was placing a heavy burden on Asura's body.
Asura poured his remaining energy into one final, desperate attack, putting all his strength behind the blow. Romeo raised his dagger to parry, but the force of Asura's strike sent the blade spinning from his grip.
Seeing his opening, Asura immediately pressed the attack, raining down an unrelenting barrage of blows on Romeo. Without his weapon, Romeo was unable to counter the strikes which came at him from all angles.
With one last powerful roar, Asura plunged his sword straight through Romeo's chest in a burst of dark energy. Romeo's body went limp, speared upon the blade. Panting with exhaustion, Asura held him pinned aloft.
"It's over..." Asura gasped through ragged breaths. To his shock, Romeo's hands suddenly grasped the blade, his vacant eyes meeting Asura's. Cracks spread across Romeo's form as he slowly pulled himself off the impaling sword.
Asura's eyes widened in dismay as Romeo dropped to the ravaged earth below. How could he defeat an opponent who could not be killed?
