Chapter 97 - Asura vs Undead Romeo(part-II)

Asura exclaimed, "Interesting." He was very excited, this was the first time he had encountered someone who could truely generate the same level of power as himself when using a Battle Skill.

Romeo, who was fighting Asura on the ground before, soared into the sky. Asura also activated his flying artifact, and a pair of golden wings appeared behind him. His flying artifact had replenished during the time he spent observing the fight between Sir Eric and Monster Abyss, he soared into the sky.

Asura and Undead Romeo circled each other warily after their Battle Skills collided with immense force. Asura flexed his arm gingerly, feeling the lingering effects of the impact.

He studied his opponent intently, taking note of the eerie green lava veins that now crawled across Romeo's arm. The undead man showed no hint of pain, his expression vacant, but Asura could tell the damage was done. Cracks had formed in the lava rock armor, spreading like fissures across Romeo's limb. But the Cracks were small which showed the damage was not so big.

This small victory buoyed Asura's confidence. If he could continue chipping away at Romeo's defenses, an opening for a decisive blow would present itself.

With renewed determination, Asura launched a flurry of swift sword strikes, aiming to overwhelm Romeo's dagger parries. Romeo responded in kind, his movements fluid and precise as they traded blow after blow. The speed and skill of their attacks created a dazzling display of dexterity.

Asura felt the thrill of combat pumping through his veins. The lingering pain in his arm faded away as he focused completely on the battle. Undead Romeo was unlike any opponent he had ever faced, but Asura welcomed the challenge. This was the true test of his abilities that he had been seeking.

The two fighters collided again and again, neither giving any ground. Showers of sparks erupted with each sword clash, scattering across the rocky terrain. The air hummed with the energy of their fiercely traded strikes and parries.

Pressing his momentary advantage, Asura unleashed a perfectly timed disarming maneuver, sending Romeo's dagger flying. Before Romeo could react, Asura swept his legs out from under him in a graceful arc.

Romeo hit the ground hard, cracks spiderwebbing through the rock surface on impact. Asura followed through swiftly, plunging his sword downwards toward Romeo's chest.

At the last possible instant, Romeo rolled aside, the tip of Asura's blade biting into the stone ground beside him. In a burst of unexpected speed, Romeo regained his footing and went on the offensive once more.

Asura could not hide his smile, adrenaline, and excitement flooding his system. This battle was far from over. The true limits of his skills would be tested today against an opponent who knew no pain or fatigue. Gripping his sword tightly, Asura steeled himself for the next intense clash.

On King Xiao's side, the Headmaster looked at Asura with an unbelievable expression on his face. He muttered, "Is Asura really that strong?" Then he turned to King Xiao and complained, "You are truly a devious person. You knew that the untitled heroes are from my Xiao sect, but you didn't inform me."

King Xiao replied, "I also didn't know until now. My daughter wanted to hide their real identity from me, so I couldn't force their disclosure. The only thing I knew was that they were from my kingdom, but now that I see them, I'm just as shocked as you are."

King Xiao then turned his attention to the Blond-Haired Minister who had informed him about the situation at the Royal Palace, as well as about Asura and Su Lin, who were the Untitled Heroes of the Xiao Kingdom.

When he first learned that Asura and Su Lin were the Untitled Heroes, he had his doubts. He had seen Asura and Su Lin before when the top 10 rankers were invited to the Royal Palace. At that time, the king had secretly observed the top 10 rankers, but he hadn't noticed anything particularly exceptional about Asura or Su Lin.

The King had some belief that Su Lin could be a member of the Untitled Heroes because her master was incredibly mysterious. Even the king had met him no more than two times.

As for Asura, The king's initial thought was that Asura was a mid-spirit realm cultivator. Even if he had hidden strength, like his daughter, his power shouldn't have been significantly greater because his daughter was a late spirit realm cultivator. However, now, as he witnessed Asura's battle against Undead Romeo, he realized that Asura's current strength was not weaker than his daughter's strength when she utilized her hidden power, if not even greater.

As the King and the others were admiring Asura's strength, Princess Moon approached the place where the king was. At first, he thought she wouldn't meet her father until this war was over, but she changed her mind and came to her father.

The king, upon sensing his daughter, nodded to her without speaking. Princess Moon also only nodded, refraining from talking to her father because she knew it was not the right time to discuss matters that might cause emotional distress.

When the Headmaster was about to ask something from Princess Moon, he sensed something and quickly disappeared from the side of the king.

Author's thought -I know you will tell me that in one chapter, I wrote that the flying artifact was a flying boot, but I have already corrected that chapter. Please remember that the flying artifacts of Asura, Su Lin, and Kallu are ornate golden wings.
