Chapter 85 - Fighting with the traitors part-II

Asura, Su Lin, and Princess Moon approached the door of the royal palace. Usually, royal guards were stationed at this gate, but currently, two individuals from high noble families were guarding this place.

These two cultivators' strength was not weak, they were fourth and fifth sky realm cultivators. Even within the high noble families, their status was at the level of elders. Currently, they were guarding this place. Obviously, the high noble families didn't want anyone to come to aid the royal family, so they deployed strong cultivators at the gate.

Princess Moon said "You two wait here"

Princess Moon approached the two high-ranking cultivators guarding the royal palace with an air of grace and confidence. Asura and Su Lin watched with bated breath, curious to see what she would do.

Those two cultivators were surprised to see Princess Moon arrive, although they had never seen Princess Moon before. However, they had heard about her. The cultivation level and her attire matched the information they had heard. As a result, they were 80% sure that this was the rumored Princess Moon, considered the most talented person in the entire Xiao Kingdom.

With a subtle flick of her hand, Princess Moon unleashed a burst of energy that sent a shockwave through the area. The two cultivators were taken by surprise as they staggered backward, struggling to maintain their footing. It was clear that they hadn't expected such power from the princess.

Both of them quickly took out their spiritual weapons. one had a sword and another one had a hammer.

Princess Moon's eyes glowed with golden light as she pressed forward, her movements fluid and precise. In a matter of seconds, she disarmed one of the cultivators with a lightning-fast strike, sending his weapon clattering to the ground.

The other cultivator, his confidence shaken, tried to muster his strength to retaliate, but Princess Moon effortlessly blocked his every move. With a final, elegant spin, she incapacitated him, leaving both cultivators on the ground, defeated and humbled.

Asura and Su Lin were astonished by Princess Moon's hidden strength. They had always seen her as a gentle and delicate princess, but now they witnessed her true power. Her prowess in martial arts and cultivation was nothing short of extraordinary.

Su Lin couldn't help but mutter in awe, "I had no idea she was this strong."

Asura nodded in agreement, saying, 'It seems there's more to Princess Moon than meets the eye.' Although Asura knew she was strong, after witnessing her abilities firsthand, he became even more certain that Princess Moon was a formidable cultivator, and surpassing her would not be an easy task.

Princess Moon turned to them, a soft smile gracing her lips. "There are many things you don't know about me," she said, her voice carrying a hint of mystery.

Asura, Su Lin, and Princess Moon entered the royal palace with stealth, careful not to draw any unwanted attention. They moved silently through the ornate corridors, their steps muffled by the rich carpets underfoot. The palace was a sprawling maze of grand chambers and shadowy alcoves, and their goal was to reach the heart of the commotion without being discovered.

As they moved deeper into the palace, they could hear the clashing of swords and the resounding echoes of battle. It was clear that the traitors from the high noble families had launched a daring assault on the royal palace, and the princes and princesses with the royal knights were valiantly defending it.

They rounded a corner and came upon a scene of fierce combat. The third prince, a tall and imposing figure, led the charge. His dark hair was swept back from his forehead, revealing a face marked by the rigors of battle. He had a strong jawline and piercing blue eyes that blazed with determination. He wore the royal armor, adorned with a regal emblem, signifying his role as the royal protector. His movements were swift and precise, displaying his exceptional martial skill as he parried attacks from the traitors.

The other princes, including the second and fourth, fought alongside their brother. The second prince was lean and agile, his style more acrobatic, while the fourth prince was a master of archery, his arrows finding their marks with deadly accuracy. The royal palace knights, loyal and battle-hardened, formed a protective circle around the princes, defending them from all sides.

But despite their valor, the royal defenders were in a disadvantageous position. The traitors from the high noble families were numerous and well-coordinated, and they pushed the princes and the knights back, inch by inch.

Princess Moon watched the battle unfold, her eyes filled with worry for her brothers and sisters. She looked around and noticed that her eldest brother was missing. She was confused because, according to her knowledge, her eldest brother was the protector of the royal palace in the absence of their father and the ministers. But currently, she was unable to find him.

She considered the possibility that made her heart ache, and then desperately began searching for her big brother. She succeeded, but her worst fear had already come true - her eldest brother was dead, his lifeless body lying on the floor.

Then, she glanced at the person not far from the corpse of the eldest prince, who was none other than Li Xian. Princess Moon didn't need to guess; she knew from the information she had gathered so far that the person who had killed her eldest brother and was the leader of this betrayal was none other than him.

She lost her composure and attacked Li Xian. Driven by her rage, her self-control was shattered and her location was exposed.

Li Xian, who had been watching all of this, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. After that, he sensed a profoundly fearful and unprecedented killing intent - a type of killing intent he had never experienced in his life.
