Chapter 78 - The urgent situation

After hearing all the information provided by Asura, the headmaster concluded that the situation was indeed dire. He was shocked to learn that Asura had encountered the rumored rank 6 magical beast and, most importantly, had survived inside its territory.

"Your luck is quite astonishing to have emerged unscathed from the den of a rank 6 magical beast. Even I can't say I will return unscathed when entering a rank 6 magical beast territory. Now, I must go to the royal palace to inform the king so that we can prepare for battle," the headmaster remarked.

After conveying this, the headmaster vanished from Asura's side. No need to ask, Asura knew the headmaster went to the royal palace to meet the king so that they could decide how to deal with this situation.

Asura also took his leave from the headmaster's chamber. Upon exiting, he decided to pay a visit to Su Lin.

While on his way to Su Lin's residence, Asura coincidentally ran into Princess Moon. He shared the same information with her that he had told the headmaster.

Princess Moon, who was in disguise as Lina, quickly grasped the importance of the matter. She informed Asura that she needed to return to the royal palace to assess the situation.

Actually, Princess Moon had initially planned to meet with Su Lin to spend some time together. However, given the urgent matter at hand, she had to change her plans.

With concern in her eyes, Princess Moon bid a hasty farewell to Asura and hastened back to the royal palace, where she could discuss the situation with her father, the king. She was acutely aware that if the Hell Kingdom were indeed planning to attack the Xiao Kingdom, it would likely lead to a bloody battle, and the ones who would suffer the most would be the common people of the Xiao Kingdom, whom she was determined to protect at all costs.

Meanwhile, Asura continued on his way to Su Lin's residence. As he reached her door, he noticed that it was partially open. However still, he decided to follow the rules of the Xiao sect and knocked on the door. From inside the residence, a beautiful voice beckoned him to enter.

Asura gently pushed the door open, and to his surprise, he discovered Su Lin engaged in a deep conversation with a mysterious figure whose face was concealed by a hood.

His curiosity was piqued by the mysterious figure in the hood. As he stepped closer, the figure raised a hand, gesturing for him to come nearer. It was only when Asura got closer that he heard a familiar voice emanating from beneath the hood.

"Surprised to see me, Asura?" The voice had a mischievous tone to it.

Asura's eyes widened in recognition. "Rose! It's you!" He exclaimed, removing the hood to reveal the face of Su Lin's best friend, Rose, whom he hadn't seen in a long time. the last time he saw her was before entering into the life-and-death match inside the Tricon.

Rose grinned, her eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and relief. "Indeed, it's me," she replied. After that asura got to know that Rose was selected as a spy warrior and these few weeks he didn't see her because she was training to become a perfect spy.

Rose said with a half-joking face, "I'm not good at martial arts like you both, but I have some skill in hiding my presence and escaping quickly. So that makes me a perfect candidate for a spy warrior. I took the test and passed. Now, once my training is complete, I will become a legitimate spy warrior."

Asura and Su Lin smiled upon hearing this, but both knew that Rose was doing it to ensure she wouldn't be left behind and could continue being Su Lin's best friend. However, her fears were in vain, as Su Lin would never abandon her best friend just because she couldn't keep up. Rose also knew this but still did her best to ensure she wouldn't be a burden to Su Lin in the future.

Rose's current cultivation was at the second stage of Spiritual Realm, which was not that high compared to Su Lin, Asura, or Kallu. But it was average, as the maximum number of disciples of her age was at the same level. However, if she became a spy warrior, no normal cultivator at the same stage cultivation level would be her opponent.

Rose congratulated Asura, saying, "Congratulations, Asura! I heard you can now tap into your hidden strength. But don't become overly confident, as there are others who can also harness hidden strength."

Asura replied, "I can't fully unleash my hidden strength at the moment. Only a part of it can be used. However, I believe I will master it sooner or later. As for being conceited, I'm aware that there are many powerful cultivators in this world who can wield hidden strength, and possibly more efficiently than me. Take Princess Moon, for example. I haven't had the chance to challenge her because my cultivation level is still low."

What Asura didn't know was that his current power level allowed him to compete with Princess Moon, as the hidden strength provided to him was greater than the power provided to Princess Moon by her hidden strength. However, the only drawback for Asura was that his hidden strength placed a burden on his body, unlike Princess Moon's hidden strength, which did not.

Rose congratulated Asura again, and Asura became confused, asking her, "What are you congratulating me for this time?"

Rose smiled mysteriously and then said, "I also heard that Su Lin confessed to you."

Asura was surprised, though not entirely shocked, as he had expected that their relationship would become public sooner or later.

He replied in a teasing way, "I hope you'll share Su Lin with me."

Rose responded in a serious tone, "Of course, but remember, if you ever hurt Su Lin's heart in any way, I'll be there to assassinate you."

Asura smiled and added, "First of all, you're a spy warrior, not an assassin. And secondly, I would never do anything to hurt Su Lin's heart."
