Chapter 73 - Rank six magical beast?

Asura ran and ran without thinking, and after running for two straight hours, when he stopped, he noticed there was not a single magical beast there. While he was running, he sensed the presence of many rank 5 magical beasts on the way, but he avoided them.

Asura knew that magical beasts were very protective of their territory, and this was especially true for magical beasts of higher rank. They would die to protect their territory if the opponent had the same strength or slightly higher. However, if the opponent's strength was too strong, they would give up their territory without a fight and find another land to capture.

That's why magical beasts of different ranks didn't normally fight each other. But if the ranks were the same, they didn't care who was stronger or weaker; they would fight to the end to win the territory.

Asura had an aura of a spiritual realm cultivator, so magical beasts of rank 5 definitely didn't regard him as a threat. However, if Asura entered their territory, they would undoubtedly attack him. So, Asura passed through the periphery area where the territories of two magical beasts met, ensuring he wouldn't be discovered by them.

The man was also smart; he did the same as Asura. For both Asura and the man, these rank 5 magical beasts were nothing more than potential trouble. The man's current target was Asura, so he didn't want to get caught up in unnecessary conflicts. The woman was closely following the man.

When they sensed that Asura had stopped, they increased their speed, fearing that Asura might run again.

The man said, "Juliet, stay behind him, don't give him the chance to run away."

Juliet replied, "Yes, Romeo." Now Asura learned their names and found it funny. Who in the world would give themselves such names? But soon, he thought they might be lovers, so they named themselves.

If Romeo and Juliet had heard what Asura was thinking, they would have been shocked because Asura hit the bullseye. They named themselves Romeo and Juliet because they weren't happy with their original names. Juliet even went so far as to kill her parents when she grew up due to her dissatisfaction with her name.

As for Romeo, she forced him to change his name from his original one. Although Romeo didn't like her method, she had actually saved him once, and in return, Romeo promised to do anything she wanted. So she asked him to change his name to Romeo. Romeo hesitated at first but agreed because he was an orphan and didn't know his real name, so accepting the name given by his benefactor was acceptable.

The other reason Romeo accepted this name was that he liked Juliet. After spending time with her, he found out she was pure evil, but his love for her increased instead of decreasing. He also thought he must be special to her, which is why she saved him and gave him a romantic name.

However, in reality, Juliet was just using Romeo. She saw potential in Romeo, the only thing he lacked was resources and direction, both of which she provided him. Now, both of them were in the same rank, but she was still a little stronger than him because he had only recently broken through into the seventh-stage Sky realm, whereas she was a veteran in the seven stages of the sky realm and had the chance to break through to the next realm.

Also, she was poisoning Romeo slowly, and Romeo didn't know about it because the poison was not harmful but affected the target's mind, making them follow the orders of the person they first looked at after taking the poison, and in his case, that person was Juliet.

Juliet knew that even without using that poison, Romeo still followed her requests willingly, but she wanted to use it because she feared that if Romeo became stronger than her and started to ignore her requests, what would she do? So she chose this path so that even if he became stronger than her, he would remain a puppet for her, and she could use him however she wanted.

Returning to the current scenario, Asura's escape route was gone, and the only option remaining was to fight. However, the situation was not favorable for him. He had hoped that during his running, Romeo and Juliet would get separated so he could have a chance to deal with them individually, but now it didn't seem possible.

He then took out his spiritual sword from his spiritual space and first targeted Juliet because, from his previous encounter, he knew Juliet was stronger than Romeo. If he could take her down first, he might be able to solve his crisis.

As for Juliet, it looked like she was ready for it and took out her long whip, which was also a spiritual weapon. Their weapons clashed, sparks flying, and their strengths were almost equal. Neither could push their opponent back. Suddenly, Romeo joined the fray, and Asura found himself in a disadvantageous position once again.

Asura tried to use the same trick to escape, but this time Romeo and Juliet were ready, they flew into the Sky and were able to sense Asura's position. Asura's plan to escape failed.

He then started to fight seriously, not panicking under the pressure, and managed to hold his ground for quite some time.

Romeo and Juliet were shocked. They didn't think that Asura would still be able to fight them. Romeo initially thought Asura was using a forbidden technique to strengthen himself, but now he understood that it was his hidden strength. Romeo and Juliet had never seen or heard of this type of talent hidden within the Xiao Kingdom. This hidden strength was comparable to the legends of the past.

Asura fought with all the strength he could muster, but he knew this was not the limit of his hidden strength. Currently, he hadn't mastered the ability to control more of his hidden strength.

Suddenly, Juliet's whip tangled around Asura's leg, disrupting his balance. Romeo took advantage of the situation and attacked with his sword aimed at Asura's heart. Asura barely managed to block it, but the impact sent him flying into the rocky mountainside. When he collided with the rock mountain, he vomited blood.

Romeo and Juliet smiled, thinking that Asura had exhausted his strength, even his hidden strength was gone. Now they could easily kill him. Just as they were about to deliver the final blow, they heard a roar.

"Roar..."

When they looked up, they saw a tiger-like magical beast with golden fur at the top of the rock mountain. What surprised them the most was the pressure exerted by that magical beast. The pressure rendered them unable to move.
