Chapter 62 - Pseudo life and death match

They asked, 'What is a pseudo-life and death match?'

Princess Moon explained, "It is different from a normal life and death match. In this, we don't fight to kill our opponents. Instead, we fight to gain something from the battle. Sometimes it's for gaining control over Battle skills or spiritual attacks, sometimes to master skills like swordsmanship, and sometimes to discover and master hidden strengths or talents."

"What makes it different from training for something?" Kallu asked in confusion. Not only Kallu but Asura and Su Lin were also puzzled.

Princess Moon smiled, expecting this question, and replied, "In a pseudo-life-and-death match, we use an item called the Tricon and write down the challenge we want to complete. After writing the challenge, the Tricon will form a stage. The challenger will not be able to leave the stage until they complete their challenge. For example, in Asura's case, he will not be able to exit the stage until he triggers his hidden strength again."

Su Lin asked with concern, "What will happen if Asura is unable to trigger his hidden strength?"

Princess Moon answered with a serious expression, "He will not come out until he succeeds. If he can't trigger his hidden strength, he will die of starvation or exhaustion. That's why, Asura, I want to ask again, Are you sure you want to do this? Once you enter the stage, no one will be able to help you."

Asura's confidence didn't decline after hearing the explanation; instead, he became very excited to break his current limits and said, "Just start now; I can't wait any longer."

Princess Moon didn't waste time and pulled the item from her spiritual space. It turned out the Tricon item was a spiritual object that could be stored in a spiritual space.

The Tricon was triangular in shape, two feet wide and two feet in height, with a rectangular board on it.

Princess Moon said to Asura, "Asura, write your challenge on the rectangular board of the Tricon, and after that, pour your spiritual energy into it."

Asura followed Princess Moon's guidance.

Asura stepped forward, his eyes filled with determination, and took the Tricon from Princess Moon. He carefully examined the rectangular board, which seemed to be made of some mysterious material that shimmered with an otherworldly glow. With a deep breath, he picked up a pen that Princess Moon handed him and began to write down his challenge.

Asura's challenge was a profound one: "Unlock the potential of my hidden strength." He knew this was a risky endeavor, but the desire to surpass his current limits and become a true warrior burned within him. He believed that this pseudo-life-and-death match was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Once he had written down his challenge, Asura closed his eyes, focusing his inner energy and summoning his spiritual power. The air around him seemed to crackle with energy as he poured his essence into the Tricon. The item absorbed his spiritual energy, glowing brighter with each passing moment.

Princess Moon and his friends watched in awe as the Tricon began to transform. The triangular object levitated in the air, its surface shifting and reshaping. It soon formed a shimmering gateway, like a portal to another world. Asura's challenge had been accepted, and the stage was set.

Princess Moon turned to Asura with a solemn expression. "Remember, Asura, this is a battle with yourself. Your hidden strength lies deep within, waiting to be awakened. You must face your fears, doubts, and limitations. There will be obstacles on this stage, and you must overcome them to unlock your full potential."

Asura nodded, his resolve unwavering. With a determined step, he entered the portal created by the Tricon, disappearing into the unknown. The gateway closed behind him, leaving Princess Moon, Kallu, and Su Lin in tense anticipation.

Asura entered the stage, but he was shocked to see that it was an open field surrounded by beautiful mountains. While he was enjoying the scenery, a puppet approached him.

As Asura's gaze fixed upon the puppet, it underwent a startling transformation, morphing into a perfect replica of himself. Even more surprising was the fact that the puppet seemed to possess the same cultivation level as Asura himself. The puppet remained silent, giving no indication of its purpose, and then it lunged at Asura, launching a fierce attack.

Initially taken aback by the sudden assault, Asura's extensive battle experience kicked in, and he reacted swiftly, evading the puppet's attack with a nimble dodge. In the blink of an eye, he retaliated, striking the puppet with a powerful punch. Simultaneously, the puppet launched its own counterpunch, and their blows collided with a resounding impact, causing both combatants to stagger back a few steps.

The strength exhibited by both Asura and the puppet was perfectly equal. "This is going to be a tough challenge," Asura remarked, a determined glint in his eye. They continued to exchange rapid and intricate moves, but neither could gain the upper hand in this intense battle of equals.

Asura began gathering his martial energy, preparing to unleash his powerful Battle skill. To his surprise, the puppet mirrored his actions, also summoning its energy. At the same time, they both shouted, "Heaven Breaking Fist!"

Their Battle skills clashed with tremendous force, creating shockwaves that sent both combatants flying from their initial positions. Asura felt a sharp pain in his chest from the impact of the Heaven Breaking Fist, but the puppet showed no emotion, appearing as if it was unaffected by Asura's attack. However, Asura knew that the puppet had taken the same damage he had.

Also, now he could also sense how his opponent felt when struck by his Heaven Breaking Fist.

Asura smiled and their intense battle raged on.
