Chapter 46 - Attack on Royal Palace

Asura nodded and said, "She was the one who saved my life back then in the wilderness of the Dark Forest."

Su Lin was feeling a little jealous because Asura was looking at her with affection, proving that Asura had a crush on Princess Moon. But she was also grateful to Princess Moon for Saving Asura's life in that critical moment.

After that, Su Lin gave Asura some information about Princess Moon. She said "Her name is Princess Moon. She is the seventh and youngest child of the king. She is very talented and, according to my information, she resides in the Middle Realm of the Spiritual Realm. She is also quite beautiful and known as the Fairy Princess. Due to her great talent and high beauty, she doesn't show herself publicly often, so not many people know about her."

Asura was surprised by how much information Su Lin had. The only information he had was her name was Moon. So, He said, "You seem to know a lot about her."

Su Lin smiled sweetly and said "All this information was told to me by my master. He told me not to slack off or I will never be able to surpass Princess Moon or someone with the same level of talent as her."

Asura nodded and said, "Your master is good to give you someone to strive towards, so you don't slack off in your cultivation." He then added, "Also, you are no less beautiful than her."

Asura said that because he noticed something off about Su Lin when he was staring at princess moon so Asura thought maybe Su Lin was feeling a little inferior in terms of beauty compare to princess moon. So he told her his thoughts and he was really telling the truth because if we compare both Su Lin and Princess Moon both were fairies in their own way.

Su Lin smiled at Asura's kind words, grateful that he had noticed her insecurity and was trying to boost her confidence. However, her insecurity did not stem from feeling inferior to Princess Moon, but rather from her awareness of Asura's crush on Princess Moon.

When they were conversing, the king of the Xiao Kingdom arrived and first met with the headmaster of the Xiao Sect. Both were late-stage cultivators of the Sky Realm, so they held each other in high regard.

The king was of average height, yet exuded a majestic aura. His golden hair set him apart from others, and his face was quite handsome. Despite being the same age as the headmaster, he appeared significantly younger.

The king inquired of the headmaster, "So, these are the young individuals who secured top 10 ranks in the Tournament of the Spiritual Realm and are still under the age of 18?"

The headmaster replied, "Not only them, but there are also more young cultivators in the kingdom and the Xiao Sect who entered the Spiritual Realm before the age of 18. However, these are the top 10 cultivators in the Spiritual Realm of my Xiao Sect who are still under the age of 18."

The king remarked, "Xiao Chen, I must admit, I'm a little jealous of you. You have so many talented students in your sect." It was revealed that the headmaster's name was Xiao Chen.

The headmaster responded, "Whether they are students of the Xiao Sect or not, after their graduation, they will serve the Xiao Kingdom or choose their own paths. Yet, their strength contributes to the power of the Xiao Kingdom. There's no need for jealousy. If anyone should be envious, it would be me. The youngest princess is exceptionally gifted; she has already surpassed all the geniuses of the Xiao Sect. I desired her to become a disciple of the Xiao Sect and teach her as long as I could, but you declined to have her join our sect."

The king quickly replied, "It's not that I don't want her to join the Xiao Sect. However, other kingdoms have their eyes on us. If I reveal my daughter's location to our enemies, they might attempt to assassinate Moon. You know that she is not only the future of my royal family but also the future of the Xiao Kingdom just like these young disciples who come with you. Speaking of which, why are there only 9 students present when there should be 10?"

The headmaster answered this question, saying, "It seems our neighboring kingdom has been monitoring the Xiao Sect. Surya has been missing for a few weeks, and I suspect it might be connected to our neighboring kingdom."

The king, filled with anger, exclaimed, "Damn those treacherous dogs! They dare to eliminate my talented youths. Sooner or later, they will pay a heavy price." The headmaster nodded in agreement, sharing the king's sentiments.

After a brief moment, the king calm down and went directly to the students he had invited. He delivered a speech, emphasizing that they would be the future of the Xiao Kingdom. Then, he instructed the disciples of the Xiao Sect to enjoy the party before departing with the headmaster of the Xiao Sect. Their close relationship was evident, and they still had much to discuss.

While Asura was enjoying the festivities with Su Lin and Kallu, he suddenly heard a loud explosion. A knight approached the king and informed him that disguised forces were attacking the royal palace.

The king's displeasure was palpable, and he swiftly ordered the capture of all intruders. If they resisted, they were to be killed. Their identities would be revealed afterward.
