New York 1990
A young teenage boy can be seen dashing between the sea of pedestrians, many of whom look at the boy as he skillfully makes his way through the crowd, unsure of the reason for him to be moving so quickly. Just as the boy turns a corner he stops dead in his tracks, he quickly turns around to leave due to not wanting to deal with the situation he found himself in. Just as he turns to make his escape, a large hand grabs the boy by his arm keeping him from leaving.
"Billy Bass, so where are you heading at this fine hour? hmmm?" Hearing the voice Billy kept his cool and turning his head he answered with a smile, "Good afternoon Detective Stacy, I'm not heading anywhere else but home. How about you? Perfect day for a stroll and since I have a lot of energy I figured what better way to use that energy to go for a walk. Not illegal."
Seeing the boy trying to divert his question Detective Stacy let out a sigh. "Is that so? Well that's funny cause last I heard you haven't been back at the foster home for a few days, something about a runaway." Hearing his words the boy deflated, he knew he was caught and he would be taken back to that hell hole. Seeing the boy's reaction, a smile formed on the detective's face as he lowers himself down to the boy's level. "I know it can be rough son, I can only imagine what you're going through but you can't just run from problems unless it brings danger. If you keep this up, one day you may find yourself placed somewhere.." *Bang* *Bang* Right as the detective was trying to talk to the boy to try to help him gunshots rang out a few blocks away. Hearing the shots the Detective looked at the boy and said, "Go back home, I will be stopping by the foster home after this and if I'm told you didn't come back, I'll get your picture to all the other boys in blue and make sure you get home. Don't test me." After saying that the detective ran towards the sound while calling on his radio for backup.
Seeing the detective leave Billy quickly makes his way to the subway pondering his next move. 'There's no way I'm going back to that hell hole. I'm not even supposed to be here. I have to do something otherwise I'm screwed." Ever since he awoke everything changed, he woke up in the body of a child with two different sets of memories. One set of memories were of the boy's life and the other is his own. He doesn't remember a lot, but what he does know is that where he is now shouldn't be possible.
When he went through the new memories he didn't know what to think. He saw things that shouldn't be real, such as Stark Industries, Oscorp, and Pym Technologies just to name a few. At first he thought the boy just loved comics as much as him but when he saw Howard Stark on the news with a young Tony Stark, both looking exactly like they did in the movies, he knew this was real.
He immediately grabbed a bag and threw some clothes in it and left. He had to see for himself, upon seeing the iconic buildings such as the Baxter building and Oscorp he knew it was real. He knew he was somehow transmigrated into Marvel and he stressed out completely. He knew what was coming, granted he had time before any major events as far as he knew, but seeing as he isn't a mutant with an x-gene and being an orphan so no funds to invent things he knew he was royally screwed.
Depressed and unsure of how to proceed he roamed around the streets a few days trying to think of solutions. 'Tell SHIELD? Yeah right. Even if they believe me I would definitely find myself in a deep dark hole if I'm lucky, dissected if unlucky so not that way. Befriend Tony? Not likely due to our age difference, plus the dude is a major ass until he gets kidnapped, well he's still an ass after but he toned down a bit after. Ancient One? Hmm that's definitely an option, I could head to Bleeker Street. If I can get them to take me, not only will I become able to protect myself, I wont have to worry about a roof over my head, win-win. Will they take a 10 year old though? Well only one way to find out.'
Making his mind up due to the threat from the detective, he made his way into the subway to get to the sanctum to try his luck. Once he got onto the subway train Billy made his way to a seat away from everyone. Sitting down and scanning the area to make sure no danger is around, once he sees no issues around he visibly relaxes but keeps his guard up. Anything can happen in Marvel. As the subway starts to move he begins to plan how to get accepted, as the train moves faster and Billy is lost in thought, he is suddenly brought out of his brainstorming from a flicker of the lights. Looking around to see what was going on and noticing nobody else concerned about the lights he was about to go back into his thoughts until he noticed the windows. White streaks of light started to appear outside and a layer of frost started creeping across the glass. Soon after the lights flickered again, but this time when the lights went solid again he found himself alone in the car. Then the train came to a stop, the doors opened and then nothing. No sounds. Sitting there he stared at the open door waiting for anyone to come in, after a few minutes and nothing happened he relaxed a bit. However a few minutes later he knew something was wrong, ' shouldn't we have left by now?' Knowing sitting here wouldn't solve anything he decided to just get off and walk the rest of the way, he grabbed his backpack and made his way to the door. After he approached the door he froze, what he saw wasn't the subway station platform. Instead he was looking at a dark hallway, along the right side of the wall was seven statues of gargoyles in different poses. At the end of the hallway there seemed to be a room that had an eerie glow. As his eyes adjusted to the dark he slowly made out a round table surrounded by seven thrones and an old black man with long white hair and beard sitting on one of the thrones holding a staff that emitted that eerie light. Seeing this stunned Billy deeply. He knew what this was and who that was ahead of him, but it didn't make sense to him. ' Isn't this wrong? WTF is SHAZAM doing in Marvel? There's no way that isn't SHAZAM but what's he doing here?' As he muses the thousands of questions running through his head the man sitting on the throne bangs his staff three times on the ground causing the sound to reverberate through the area, breaking Billy out of his stupor. "Approach Champion" the mans voice carried power but you could also hear the exhaustion in his voice. No longer hesitating he made his way forward, keeping his eyes on the seven gargoyles as he passes them to make sure they don't attack. "I welcome you, champion. I have been waiting for you for quite some time, I began to doubt I would be able to last long enough for us to meet."
Unsure of the situation he chose to remain silent as he made his way past the gargoyles, keeping vigilant of them attacking, he finally made it past the statues and into the throne room. "Uh, hello sir, nice place. Sorry if I'm late but I wasn't aware of you looking for me. So if you don't mind telling me what I'm here for. I got to meet someone to learn magic."
