Mary's pov:
2 weeks of being home with my little Soren things have been going pretty well, mom has been a great help and support system, while David has been obsessively gushing over Soren and it seems like his so happy to be a father.
Also finally David and I got married in court a week ago and I just can't believe that I'm now married to my boss.

As I stood outside in our garage helping mom place her bags in she was a bit hesitant of living me alone after take care of me for a whole month.
"Are you sure you want me to go? I can stay another two months." She said.
"Yes ma, I'm sure dad misses you." I replied grabbing her hands.
"Your dad and brother can take care of themselves, you just gave birth and baby Soren needs to bond with his grandma." She stated.
I chuckled, "you will have a lot of time to Bond with Soren, but now I need to start being a wife and a mother."
Mom sighed, clearly torn, but she finally relented, squeezing my hands tightly. "Alright, but you have to promise to call me if you need anything. I mean it, Mary. Anything."
"I promise, ma," I reassured her, giving her hands a gentle squeeze back. "You've been amazing these past few weeks. I don't know what I would've done without you."
She smiled warmly, her eyes filled with love. "That's what moms are for. I'm so proud of you, sweetheart. You've grown into such a strong woman."
I felt a lump in my throat at her words, but I managed to smile through it. "Thank you, ma. I learned from the best."
We shared a quiet moment before I finally stepped back to let her get into the car. She rolled down the window and looked up at me one last time.
"Remember, Mary, take things one day at a time. And don't forget to make time for yourself too."
I nodded, feeling the weight of her advice. "I will. Drive safe, okay?"
"We will, sweetie. Give my love to David and Soren."
"I will. I love you, ma."
"I love you too, Mary."
I watched as Mr. Yang drove off, the car slowly disappearing down the street. As soon as they was out of sight, I let out a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions wash over me. I was grateful for everything she'd done, but there was also a part of me that was relieved to finally have the house to ourselves. It was time for David and me to settle into our new life as a family.
I walked back into the house, the quietness almost startling after the past month of having my mom around. Soren was napping in his crib, and I peeked in on him, marveling at how peaceful he looked. He was such a tiny bundle of joy, and I couldn't help but smile every time I looked at him.
As I stood there, the door bell rang. Confused thinking mom forgot something I head back downstairs to open the door, once I opened the door Mrs. Smith David's mom was standing infront of me with bags in her hands.
But she also had two big tall bodyguards walking in with extra stuff.
I blinked in surprise, not quite sure how to react to the sight in front of me. Mrs. Smith, David's mother, was smiling warmly, but the two towering bodyguards behind her, both dressed in immaculate white suits and holding even more bags, were an unexpected sight.
"Mary, darling!" Mrs. Smith exclaimed, stepping forward and pulling me into a hug before I could say a word. "I hope you don't mind the surprise visit. I just couldn't stay away any longer. I had to come and see my precious grandson."
I hugged her back, still processing her sudden arrival. "Mrs. Smith, of course, it's no problem at all. Please, come in." I stepped aside, and she swept into the house, the bodyguards trailing behind her like shadows.
Once inside, Mrs. Smith glanced around the living room, her eyes bright with excitement. "I brought a few things for Soren and for you, too, Mary. I know how overwhelming these first few months can be, so I wanted to make sure you had everything you needed."
The bodyguards set down the bags they were carrying, and I noticed they were filled with all sorts of items—baby clothes, toys, luxury skincare products, and even some gourmet food items.
"Mrs. Smith, this is… so generous of you," I said, my voice trailing off as I took in the sheer volume of what she'd brought. "But you really didn't have to go to all this trouble."
"Nonsense, my dear," she said, waving off my concern. "It's my pleasure. After all, Soren is my first grandchild, and you're family now. I want to make sure you're both well taken care of."
I smiled, feeling a bit overwhelmed by her enthusiasm. "Thank you, Mrs. Smith. It means a lot to us."
"Please, call me Patricia," she insisted, her smile softening. "We're family, remember?"
I nodded, trying to relax. "Patricia. Thank you."
She beamed, clearly pleased with the new level of familiarity. "Now, where is that darling grandson of mine? I simply must see him."
"He's napping upstairs," I said, leading her toward the staircase. "But you can see him. He should be waking up soon."
As we ascended the stairs, I couldn't help but glance back at the two bodyguards, who had now taken up positions near the front door, looking as though they were ready to spring into action at any moment. I had to admit, it was a little strange to have them here, but knowing Patricia, this was probably normal for her.
When we reached Soren's room, I opened the door quietly, and we both peeked inside. Soren was beginning to stir, his tiny fists stretching above his head as he woke up from his nap.
Patricia's face lit up with pure joy as she saw him. "Oh, look at him! He's absolutely perfect," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
I watched as she slowly approached the crib, her hands gently hovering above him as if she were afraid to disturb him. But Soren's eyes fluttered open, and when he saw her, he let out a tiny coo.
Patricia's eyes filled with tears as she reached down to pick him up. "Hello, my sweet little Soren," she murmured, cradling him in her arms. "Your grandma's here."
Seeing her so tender and loving with Soren made me feel a little more at ease. Maybe this visit wouldn't be so overwhelming after all.
As Patricia rocked Soren gently, she looked up at me with a soft smile. "I hope you don't mind me staying for a little while, Mary. I'd love to help out and spend some time with my grandson."
I hesitated for a moment, thinking about how David was going to react to this. But on the other hand I couldn't just kick out my mother Inlaw. "Of course, Patricia. We'd love to have you stay."

30 minutes later I found myself in the kitchen preparing food for Patricia, and nervous on how David was going to react to his mother being here unannounced.
To my surprise David got back early, as the door opened and David walked in he locked up at the two bodyguards who where standing at the door.
"What is this?" He asked his voice sharp as he walked over to his mom, "I'm here to see my grandson, is that wrong." She replied looking down at Soren.
Suddenly he gently grabbed Soren out of her arms placed him back in his little rocking chair and pointed to the door, "get out, you have no right to be in my house holding my child!" He stated.
"Is this how you treat your mother?" She questioned with a chuckle.
David's eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening as he stared at his mother. The tension in the room was palpable, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as I watched the exchange unfold from the kitchen.
"I don't want any problems with you, please leave and never show your face infront of my child or woman ever again. You have no place in my life so you will not have a place in my sons life!"
A while they glared at each other, making the air in the room tense, it was like watching two lions in a Jungle trying to fight for the title of King.
A few seconds later Mrs. Smith got up shooting a sly smirk at David and walked up to the door. "Good bye Mary darling, see you soon." She waved at me and walked out with her bodyguards following behind.
The door closed with a soft click behind Patricia, and the room was suddenly filled with a heavy, oppressive silence. I could feel the weight of what just happened pressing down on me, my chest tight with anxiety. David remained standing where he was, his back rigid, fists clenched at his sides. The tension in the air was almost unbearable.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say or do, but I knew I needed to break the silence. "David…" I began softly, stepping out of the kitchen and walking toward him.
He turned to look at me, his eyes still dark with anger. But when he saw the concern on my face, some of the hardness melted away. He sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair as if trying to calm himself down.
He suddenly grabbed me by the waist, pulling me in closer with a firm yet tender grip. The warmth of his hand on my back sent a shiver up my spine, and before I could fully process what was happening, his lips met mine.
The kiss was gentle at first, almost testing the waters, but there was an undeniable urgency beneath it. His lips moved against mine with a softness that made my heart race, but there was an underlying intensity that I could feel growing with every passing second. It was as if he was holding back, trying to keep himself in check, but the more we kissed, the more the passion began to surface.
He deepened the kiss, his hand tightening on my waist as he pulled me even closer. The pressure of his lips became more insistent, more aggressive, as if he was pouring everything he'd been holding back into that one kiss. My head swam as I felt the heat of his breath mingling with mine, the sensation overwhelming but intoxicating.
His other hand came up to cradle my face, his fingers threading through my hair as he angled my head, claiming my mouth with a fervor that left me breathless. There was a raw hunger in the way he kissed me now, like he couldn't get enough, like he needed to be closer, to feel more. But even in his aggression, there was a tenderness—a carefulness that told me he wasn't just kissing me out of desire, but out of something deeper, something real.
I slowly pulled away catching my breath and rested my head against his, "it's okay I'm here."
He pulled me into a tight embrace and held me so tight, "what would I do without you." He said his voice soft.
