"Why? cause he would beat you up, the man you're married to?" Dante asked starting at her astonished expression which quickly deviated back to her normal face. She's stayed with that man so much that she imitates his character traits but has no idea she is. "Why would he beat me up? What are you talking about?" She asked. Ethan felt like she was in denial, he felt like she was going through a kind of pain that she doesn't want anyone to be aware of.
Maybe she's scared of what her so-called husband would do to her, he knew she was scared cause she barely knows who he is yet. I mean, they just met in a day, and in just that day, crazy things beyond his imagination has happened. What he felt for her was unexplainable, but he knew it waive at first sight. "There is no point being scared of him, I can protect you."
"I don't need your protection Dante, I'm well protected already, but please for your good, stay away from me please." She pleaded. "I'm afraid I can't do that, you deserve more than you're given. I made some findings about your past and discovered why you married him."
"My past is none of your business Dante, I'm fine where I am and don't need saving." She said bluntly still not understanding why he wouldn't listen no matter how hard she was trying to explain to him. She wondered why every guy she's met has felt the need to save her from Liam when she can't see herself going a day without him. He's all there is on her mind, him and no one else, Liam loved her the same way she loves him and they're okay that way.
She's promised not to offend him anymore or disturb his work, but it seems her little game plan of catching ear away from Dante was not working. She has zero ideas on how to make him leave her alone, zero ideas on how to tell him she loves Liam and is not ready to leave anytime soon. She's already thought about their future together, she's thought about the kids they'd have. How happy they'd be together.
Dante on the other hand was heartbroken, this is the first time he's being rejected openly by a girl. No girl he's met has turned him down or treated him this shitty before, it felt like to her, he doesn't exist. This is the first time he's had this feeling for anyone and he has no idea how to control his feelings. He was scared, scared of loving her too much, the more she rejected him, the more he was falling in love with her, "Why are you hellbent on being with a man ten years older than you are?" He asked.
"Cause I love him, isn't that obvious already?" She saw him shaking his head letting out a throaty laugh, "You don't, you only feel indebted to him for his kindness which I would repay in no time. You don't know who I am do you?" He asked, "I don't...". " La Dante Munich Ross, a prince so tell me how that man is a match for me?" He asked staring at her.
"I don't want anything to do with you, you're not my type. I hate everything about you, your hair, eyes, face, height, skin color, every damn thing." She finally let out and walked away. Jesse and Preya saw their friend walking up to them with ragged breathing, she seemed so upset and they already k ow what it was about. "Have you are things with him, cause you both have been on the news blogs for two days. It's not safe being around him." Jesse asked. "I believe I just did, hopefully, he'd leave me alone."
"That's good news." "Hmm, you wouldn't believe the trouble he caused yesterday between me and Liam." Elsa started, "He knew?"
"Yes, and after that, he left with another lady. I did nothing with Dante, but who knows what he's done with her." Elsa felt it was the right time to pour out her frustration to her friends. No one told her being in a relationship was this hard, one man would just make you go insane or lose focus cause of one simple act.
"That's in all shades of wrong, you need to give him a piece of your mind." Preya stated aggravated, "What's wrong with her?" Elsa whispered to Jesse, "The guy she met at the welcome party had sex with her and unfortunately it got leaked." The gasp from Elsa had everyone staring at them. "He got it on video?" She asked for Jesse to nod. In just a day of resumption they've already caused havoc in school, "Is that why she's all covered up?" Jesse nodded at her words again.
It was only at that moment did Elsa realize her friend was covered up in an unrecognizable outfit. Preya's sex tape was not just on their school's website, but it was also on the news stating a student of the school was involved, tarnishing the school name. She was yet to answer the call from their board of directors to decide on her faith, she might be kicked out or given probation for a year. But at this stage, she doubts probation would be given.
"What did you do Jesse?" Elsa asked with narrowed eyes, "Me? Nothing much, nothing you should worry about." She stated, but her friend could already see through her lies, it's only a matter of time before Jesse would come back crawling. "You're not doing anything about it? Your hubby, he left you for someone else, and you're going to let it slide. How long will it take you, girls, to understand men are scams and need to be taught some lessons?" Preya said furiously, her friends could understand she was just frustrated.
They were now one of the top popular girls in school but it was for the wrong reasons. "She's right Elsa, you shouldn't let things slide, you need to put brother Liam in his place, threaten him with a divorce or anything else like you did before so he'd know his place," Jesse added.
"Maybe we should get you girls some ice cream to calm your nerves then we can talk." Elsa already had her plans in mind, she already thought of a way of dealing with that husband of hers. He always punished her for doing the wrong things, it's her turn to punish him too.
They all got out of school and into their car headed for a close-by Icecream shop. The trio sat at their table licking their ice creams. This life, living alone, and making certain decisions for themselves has really turned tough for them. They had no idea what they are doing, there are just so many lairs, and deceivers around that it turned really hard to trust people.
"I know I wanted to have sex and maybe experience what it feels like before marriage, but that doesn't mean he would betray me and make me appear so relinquished before everyone," Preya stated eating a full spoon of her ice cream. She rarely cry, so it was hard to do so. She was frustrated and devastated at once, she never knew her first time would be displayed like this.
The girls in school mocked her or whoever is seen around her. She was going to be expelled and thinking of the money her parent spent for her to be here, she felt disappointed. Once again they would be disappointed in her, they worked really hard for years to take her to the best college in town and she just had to waste their money.
Elsa switched on her phone to see no more messages from Liam, except the one he had sent earlier. He's said nothing, not even trying to explain his actions through his message. Staring at her phone, the anger in her brewed to it's max level and she dialed his number to call.
"I've been trying to call you since last night and you ignored at some point it wasn't going through, are you alright?" He asked letting out a silent sigh. Scorpion has ready told him she was fine and was in school, but she was really upset. He had been smiling at her jealousy, she gets upset and become really protective when she finds him with another woman but thinks it's alright to hang out with boys.
"I'm breaking up with you Liam, I don't want to be in a relationship with you anymore let's also get divorced quickly." She said before hanging up.
