Halfway to the party, Dante could already feel the girl beside him slightly intoxicated, she's had almost all the shots since they started playing the game. He still could not believe she drank to almost everything said, she must be lying cause she looked so innocent and pure to indulge in all of these.
He helped her up ready to take her home, if only he knew where she lives, "Where are you two heading to Dante?" Ryan asked sitted at a corner asked. "It would do you good if you mind your business." He said and walked away, "Geez bro, I didn't mean any harm." Ryan said to the figure that disappeared with the girl in his hands. Dante didn't know why he was getting upset at the fact that she's been touched by someone or the fact that she was in love with someone else.
"You really do know how to upset people without even trying." He murmured to the figure beneath him, she really does know how to play hard to get. In less than a da,y she's been able to bring out a side of him he never thought existed.
Just as they got out of the hall, Scorpion was quick to spot the boy with his madam, "You don't want to take her with you, do you?" Dante met the gaze of the man who had both hands placed in his pocket as he stared at him lazily. "What does it look like I'm doing?" Dante wasn't having it tonight, he's never been a chill person especially when he's so upset.
Scorpion did not have the time to talk either, just like his boss, he loved action more than words. Rich kids think they could do anything they feel and just get away with it, but that isn't going to be the case tonight cause his madam was involved. "You're not meant to take her with you, she's not safe around a drunk boy." Said Scorpion.
"Neither is she safe around you, just get the hell outer here." Dante walked away leaving Scorpion who could do nothing especially when the young boy's men outnumbered him. If he had this much protection, it means he's not just anyone, his madam has caught the attention of another lord from another part of the world. This is going to be so fun, especially if his master learns about this.
He got into the car he brought and walked away, there is nothing he can do now, the only thing he prays for is not getting into trouble with his boss, everyone knows how overly protective Liam can be around his wife. Rich people do know how to attract a lot of trouble to themselves.

"And what are we celebrating this time mother?" Dad asked the woman talking to her event planner, "Your father's birthday Dax, don't tell me you forgot about that like your brothers?" Maisha asked her confused son. "Since when did we celebrate that," Dax inquired, standing next to his mother.
"You should worry more about making your brother attend this event son." She looked so happy, happier than she's been in the last few days. "You know Liam and I are not yet on good terms, we haven't had the time to talk since I returned," Dax said.
Maisha gestured her hands for the event planner to leave, their family issues were not one to discuss in the presence of a stranger. There's always a fire where there is smoke, anyone can deny starting the fire. "You should create more time to settle things with him, he gave you an opportunity even I never thought existed." She smiled.
"And what could that be?" Confused Dax asked to see his mother smile, "Somethings are left untold and unheard for a reason, aren't they?" He watches his mother walk away. He was yet to understand what she was talking about, but he hoped she wasn't plotting something against them. If she could try to destroy Hazel even in her pregnant state, she could do anything.
Maisha knew what she meant, who knew Liam would be willing to give up his inheritance and everything his father owned to his adopted and illegitimate brothers. He's cut himself completely from the family, and the most affected is the man that once ridiculed him. His father.
The man has been sick for days now, after his son's outburst, it seems life was catching up with him quicker than she thought. At this moment she doesn't have to do anything to kill him, his son is already doing the work. Her son Dax now owns an inheritance in the family, and so does she and her daughter.
Liam was right, after all, Jesse deserved better than the Annakins, they were nothing but liabilities to the family. She would find Liam a new wife and get his stupid wife out of the way soon. She giggled at her plans, no wonder they say women do have the power to command their home and turn it fhe way they want it to be.
She's been able to control Donovan from the first time she met him to this moment. A servant has died for her cause they thought she poisoned her husband, she wondered why Donovan didn't suspect her even if he knew she prepared the tea.
The time of the event came and the guest arrived one after another, they all looked beautiful ready to celebrate Donovan's 67th birthday. Their family members from far and near, friends, and business associates were all present to celebrate his life. The man now appeared so old and strike in age, that he could barely stand erect like a few months back.
"What a wonderful party you have here dear." Zamora walked up to her long-lost friend. "Oh my dear, you made it, thank you so much for attending my dear." Marshal greeted and both women exchanged hugs.
While Maisha went around to greet other guests she overheard a few women gathered at a spot talk about her, "She's so beautiful and aging so well." One person said for her to walk all confidently, if there's one thing Maisha was insecure about, was her looks so she loved it when people complimented her. She valued people's opinions about herself more than anything in the world.
She was once a child everyone labeled her to be so ugly and stupid academically, no one liked her or even looked her way. She fought to be rich so she could improve her beauty which she did and is now one of the most beautiful women in the city. "It's not like her heart and character are as beautiful as her outward appearances." Another person said for her to pause a bit as if arranging her dress.
"Yes, I heard she separated her son from his father so her son can inherit everything the man owns." Another said, "That's true, look, Mr. Black is not even in attendance of his own father's birthday party. It has never been done before, he's never skipped his family's party before no matter how busy he is." The second woman said bringing all the women's attention to this.
"Wicked people never live long you know, how much more heartless can she be, even if she stole the man and separated the boy from his mother forever." They added starting at her in disgust and Maisha just had to walk away. No matter what you do, there is always that someone that's watching you, it was still a puzzle how those women knew much about her.
Their words were not mere cause they actually spoke the truth, they were all right about her. Her intention for the family was not genuine but that didn't mean their words would just change her. She's gone too far to stop now.
The rest of the evening was destroyed by those women's words, if they knew this much, it means the entire city knew so much about them, but they said nothing cause of their fear of Liam. There is no way their words would leave her head or mind, it's not just possible.
The rest of the event was mid for Maisha, every other person has fun except her. She kept on pondering on the words of those women and Donovan wasn't helping matters. He kept asking about a boy he never once cared for, a man that has decided to start his life afresh without them. The only thing Liam had of them was his surname, he would be nonexistent without a surname. Plus that is his business name.

Over at an exquisite penthouse, held a familiar figure whose eyeball never vacated the beautiful girl laid on his bed in his masters suite. The rays of sunlight penetrating through the glass to her skin made her glow and she looked extraordinarily beautiful. Dante couldn't get his eyes off the girl on his bed stretching her body as she was about to wake up.
"Young Master, your mother's here." His door opened only for his butler to make such a sudden announcement...
