They arrived at a room, it was more of an ancient library, with million copies of books. Elsa wondered why Damien would want to bring her in a library when they had a task to do. "What are we doing here?" She asked staring at the multiple books.
It would take a person a life time to read all the books in there. Damien stroked a book and a secret door opened, he could see the astonished look on Elsa's face. "Do you want to go in further or not?" He asked.
Damien was hellbent on passing the competition cause he wanted to talk to the so called Mr Black one on one and warn him to stay clear off his woman. His dad has already promised to back him up so there was nothing for him to be afraid of. First he had to win her heart over, before challenging the man.
Elsa followed him into the passage, taking a quick glance at the normal mansion before stepping into the passage way fully. The passage led to a bright room which held two goass casket. She was agape by what or whom she saw there.
As if Damien could understand her confusion, "These are the bodies of Edward and Patricia. You know about their stories right?" He sat on a black swivel chair close to the glass casket. Damien could see the hesitation in the girl concerning the dead bodies that have been preserved by his grandfather for many years.
According to his father, "Edward and Patricia's love was the most popular love story in this town that they even have a date to celebrate with!" Damien stated.
"The embalming fluids will last long right?" She shifted her gaze from the corpse to Damien. "No, embalming doesn't preserve the bodies forever, it merely delays the inevitable and natural consequences of death". He stated standing from the swivel chair to a corner.
Elsa's curious feet paddled to the glass casket where the corpse were laid. Her fingers traced the corners of her casket before pulling her hands tight. This people have been dead for centuries now, how are their body still untouched? She thought trying to find the right explanation for it. "Here, watch this!" He handed the 35 film compact camera for her to watch the ilm in it.
It was clearly the video of Edward and Patricia's death occurrence. Elsa took pictures of their research as a proof so she would pass. "Whoever's seeing this, they killed Patricia, Carlos killed her. I can't stay without Patricia so I'm drinking this liquid. Justice must be done, please to whoever will see this!" Edward cried, Elsa didn't get the chance to see the rest of the clip cause they were cut off.
"Was justice served?" She suddenly asked the boy standing at a corner. He walked up to her and squat before her holding the armrest of her chair. "It was found hundred years later and by then Carlos was already dead!" He said calmly.
"I'm not satisfied!" She stated. "I wasn't too when I first heared the story from my father!" Damien said standing up after collecting the camera from her. Elsa also got up and stared at the corpse who look like they were sleeping but we're actually dead.
She wondered what they must have felt the moment they were dieing. After staring at the dead bodies to her satisfaction she finally lifted her head to see the pairs of Hazel eyes staring intently at her.
"Why did you get I to a fight last night?" This was the right time to talk to Damien and end his madness once and for all
