"Big bro, sister-in-law's parent, and the rest have arrived," he muttered with a sigh while referring to Jack and his parents.
"Mm." Carl slowly nodded, and after glancing again at the bed, he turned around and followed him out of the room.
After the door was closed, Vivian sighed heavily and carefully recapped the small bottle of liquid herbs then placed it down on the bedside table as she was done.
She slowly sat down on the side of the bed then took the girl's hands and started caressing the huge diamond ring on her finger while a soft sigh escaped her lips.
"Pearl... I'll be going back later with my Mum..." She started softly and sniffed with another sigh then continued after some seconds.
"I wish you could wake up soon, so I could get to apologize in person... But it seems impossible, right?" A sad chuckle escaped her lips as she continued stroking the girl's palm.
"I'm so sorry for everything, Pearl... I'm very sorry." She slowly wiped away the tear that had started trickled down on her face as her eyes were fixed on the girl's peaceful face.
She watched her for some seconds then slowly dropped her head with a sigh and softly continued after a few seconds.
"Actually, I loved Big brother a lot and I still love him... But, I've come to realize that you're the only one that is rightful for him... " She sobbed softly, not able to control the tears that kept falling. "Both of you have suffered from my father's evil since you were little... I'm really sorry."
Her vision blurred with tears and she paused for a while then sighed again. "If you ever wake up, Pearl... please don't hate me okay? I only did those things because I was overwhelmed by jealousy... I had thought that after doing them, Big brother would eventually belong to me. But then, I realized that it was just my wishful thinking," She muttered in a soft voice as another sad chuckle escaped her lips while she continued wiping the tears.
"I'm hurt inside and also suffering to finally realize that my twenty years of love was actually a waste... It is very painful, Pearl." She paused again with another sigh then splayed one hand on her chest."But I don't want anyone to sympathize with me... Don't think I'm pitiful... I deserve all this punishment."
She slowly shook her head while looking up with another chuckle. "Maybe I was just a little bit selfish like my father."
"Pearl... If you ever wake up... please forgive me, okay...?" She sniffed back her tears and then sighed heavily, then continued. "Because after I leave today... I'll be going overseas and we may never get to see each other again... I'll never get to see you again."
She continued sobbing softly after dropping her head again. "Those months that we spent here, even though you couldn't move nor speak, were the most peaceful ones of my life... Because for once, I felt like I was doing something good; taking care of you__"
"Don't go....."
A soft voice which was barely a whisper suddenly cut her off and she paused for a second, then slowly shook her head with a sad chuckle.
"No, I have to go... I need to... My Mum__"
"Please..." The soft voice cut her off again.
And Vivian sniffed softly with a sigh. She was about to look up with a frown when her gaze instantly darted to her hand and she gasped with widened eyes.
"P... Pearl?" Her head snapped to the girl whose eyes were still closed then she watched in shock as a tear slowly trickled down her face.
"Don't go... Please..." Clara whispered as she struggled to open her eyes while her weak grip slowly tightened on the girl's fingers. "I don't want you to go," She added weakly.
"Y... Y... You j...just..." Vivian felt her whole body stilled and she tried to form a coherent word out of her mouth. She watched in shock as more tears streamed down the girl's face before she slowly flickered her eyes open.
"Pearl..." She finally breathed out while staring into the girl's large eyes that were brimming with tears.
Clara stared back at her in a daze as her vision slowly started getting clear.
"Where's Carl..." She asked weakly while trying hard to sit up on the bed and Vivian broke out of her shock then stood up with a thumping heart.
"D... Don't move okay? L... Let me get him." She muttered hurriedly then her head snapped to the door which was suddenly opened from the outside.
And huge gasps sounded in the room as everyone's eyes landed on the girl who was dazedly staring back at them from the bed with tears trickling down her face.
"Big Sis..." Lily was the first to break out of her shock and she started sobbing then ran toward the bed and quickly held her sister's hands.
Her parents who had also broken out of their shocks hurried toward the bed and her mother also start sobbing.
"Mum... Dad... Lily..." Clara's gaze slowly wandered between the people then she attempted to sit down again and Lily quickly helped up.
Her eyes wandered to Carl who was staring back at her from the door and obviously not out of his shock yet and she smiled weakly. "Carl..." She called out in a whisper while more tears streamed her face.
Carl returned to his senses and he also hurried toward the girl with a thumping heart while hoping that he wasn't dreaming, as he still couldn't comprehend what had just happened
"Clara... You woke up?" He muttered softly in a whisper while sitting down carefully beside her on the bed.
By then, Vivian had already rushed out of the room to inform the others and Clara's parents also walked out after some minutes while sighing in relief with happy expressions.
After hearing the news and getting here, they had thought that they were going to meet her still in her coma and couldn't believe the miracle that had just happened.
